In some Harry Potter fans' books, the movies should be as close to the books as possible without taking liberties. In my book, it's ok to take liberties if there is a good reason. Regardless of your opinions on book to movie adaptations, we all know that the filmmakers behind the Harry Potter movies decided to add a few scenes that did not appear in JK Rowling's novels.
