A presença brasileira voltou a estremecer Hollywood nesta semana.

In this episode of Pop Culture Pastor, Dave and Cody sprint headfirst into Edgar Wright's new adaptation of The Running Man, asking the big question: is this the movie that officially crowns Glen Powell as the next great everyman action star? The guys start with a wild but oddly wholesome news item: Timothée Chalamet calling Adam Sandler “one of the best actors of all time” during their “Sandler x Chalamet” event. That launches a fun conversation about Sandler's career arc — from “guy who just makes vacation movies with his buddies” to secretly one of the most versatile actors working, thanks to turns in Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems. There's also a quick detour into DC's Lanterns delay, James Gunn's DCU, and why everything around Warner Bros. feels just a little… wobbly. Then it's full-on Running Man review mode:how this version leans back into Stephen King's original dystopian nightmarewhy Glen Powell feels like the spiritual heir to Bruce Willishow Colman Domingo and Josh Brolin absolutely cook in limited screen timewhy the Hunters are a huge missed opportunity, and how Alan Ritchson could've fixed the whole problem with one menacing glareplus a Deeper Themes segment on media, virtue signaling, and why the real villain might be the human heart, not just “rich bad guys in offices.”In The Lobby, listeners ask about the many faces of Cody (Contrarian Cody, Capitalist Cody, Chaotic Cody, and more), dream podcast guests (Scorsese, Paul Walter Hauser, Weird Al, Harrison Ford), and whether a live-action Legend of Zelda movie can truly be the Lord of the Rings of video game adaptations.Oh, and yes—there's talk of Christmas playlists, Die Hard–inspired Christmas shirts, and why Michael Cera is somehow the loser of the movie simply because there wasn't enough of him.

In this week's episode, we develop a theory of Scientifica, a fashion aesthetic that borrows from the visual language of science, with influences ranging from Victorian taxonomy to Utopian Scholastic nostalgia to legacy science-fiction world-building. We examine recent manifestations of this impulse—runway shows that feel like scientific exhibitions or presentations, references to astronomical phenomena and archival display, and couture idealization of intellegentsia femininity—and question what it means when the fashion world aligns with objective inquiry and institutional knowledge in the face of epistemological crisis. It's been a buzzy week at the Vogue offices. On Tuesday night, Zohran Mamdani made history as the first Muslim, the first person of South Asian descent, and the youngest in a century to hold the Mayoral position. Vogue's Fashion News Editor, José Criales-Unzueta, joins Chloe and Nicole to discuss the newly announced mayor's style — along with that of his effortlessly chic Gen Z illustrator wife, Rama Duwaji, who stunned last night in a black lace Ulla Johnson skirt and Zeid Hijazi top. Together, they explore how fashion choices can reflect our beliefs, values, and sense of identity. Then, writer Mattie Kahn comes to the Vogue offices to talk to Chloe about Vogue's December cover story that she wrote about Timothee Chalamet. She talks about the challenges of pinning down time to speak with the busy actor who was filming the newest Dune film in Budapest and also working on performance art promotional videos for his upcoming film, Marty Supreme, set to go to the big screen on Christmas Day.. Plus, Kim Kardashian gets candid with Chloe about taking on her first major acting role (apart from American Horror Story) as Allura Grant in the new Hulu series All's Fair. The show features an all-star cast of women — including Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, Glenn Close, and Niecy Nash — the latter of whom Kim says mentored her in acting. Ryan Murphy, who created the series, said he was inspired by the line “Not only am I a lawyer in real life, I play one on TV,” which he felt perfectly suited Kim. He also drew inspiration from the well-known Hollywood lawyer Laura Wasser — whose father, notably, represented Kim's parents during their separation decades before representing Kim in her own divorce. Kim also shares behind-the-scenes details of her fabulous on-screen wardrobe, from a 1992 Jean Paul Gaultier suit with a surprising back reveal to the iconic Donna Karan power suits she sourced with her stylist, Soki Mak, for the role. It's Halloween on Delusional Diaries… which means cheap wigs, chaos, and way too many confessions. Halley and Jaz kick off the episode dressed as the Timothée Chalamet x Pete Davidson SNL duo, spiraling about bedside manner, Yelp reviews, and why bad Amazon wigs might actually be a cursed tradition at this point. From Jaz's Bottega meltdown in Madrid (and the boldest “move forward” gaslight ever) to Halley's questionable life choices that somehow always work out in her favor, the girls are in their unfiltered storytelling era. They're talking eating dog treats out of desperation, blocking trolls with “almond daughter” usernames, and why sharing snacks with your boyfriend should be considered psychological warfare. Then it's Halloween nostalgia, space cowgirl flashbacks, and a few hot takes about certain activities in the shower, bad costumes, and the “stay in for your future husband” pick-me epidemic. Whether you're getting ready to go out tonight or staying in with a bottle of wine, this episode will have you laughing, cringing, and texting your best friend mid-listen.Timestamps 0:20 - Happy Halloween from yours truly 4:02 - Bitching hour 11:40 - Standing 10 toes down 22:13 - Jaz's limo and birthdays27:26 - The block of the week 33:16 - Reading and other hobbies 37:40 - All things Halloween 48:27 - The Halloween party LinksWayfair: wayfair.com See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0K In this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz dives deep into Tyler, The Creator's Chromakopia+ deluxe edition, released October 28, 2025 via Columbia Records. The standout addition: “Mother,” a 2020-recorded track originally cut from the 2024 original Chromakopia—Tyler's diary-like exploration of monogamy pressures, fatherhood fears, identity, and introspection. Debuting #1 on Billboard 200 with 299,500 first-week units (platinum-certified), Chromakopia held the top spot for 3 weeks, spawning Hot 100 hits “Noid” (#10), “St. Chroma” feat. Daniel Caesar (#7), and “Sticky” feat. GloRilla, Sexyy Red & Lil Wayne (#10). Tyler calls “Mother” the grounding piece, inspired by 2020 bike rides through Inglewood and maternal conversations redefining “home.” Post-release, he dropped ninth album Don't Tap the Glass (July 2025, another #1) and debuts in Josh Safdie's Marty Supreme alongside Timothée Chalamet. Analytic Dreamz analyzes Tyler's 15-year evolution from Bastard (2009) to career peak, global tour with Lil Yachty & Paris Texas, and creative restlessness. Chromakopia+ completes the narrative with emotional depth and experimental percussion.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
