NBA Trade Deadline Special where the guys, with a special guest, break down the trades that happened in the past week as the trade deadline was Thursday afternoon at 3:00 P.M.
With a lot of news happening in the past week in the NBA the guys discuss the current All-Star rosters as well as who they thought were the biggest snubs from the reserves. They then discuss the huge trade of Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks for Dennis Smith Jr. They then discuss the announcement that Anthony Davis requested a trade from the Pelicans and has said that he only wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers and that if he is traded to any other team it would only be a one year rental. They move their attention to the upcoming Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, giving input and opinions on the game and what they have seen from media week so far.
This week the guys talk about the releasing of the NBA all-star game starters and our first reactions to the 10 players who were named starters and the players we felt were snubbed of a starting position in the all-star game. They then discuss the recent NFL playoff games including the Rams-Saints game and the notable no call on the missed pass interference late during the forth quarter. They then discuss the recent AP poll for NCAA basketball in which the Tennessee Volunteers jumped the Duke Blue Devils for the number 1 ranking.
We are finally back after a long winter break. We start this weeks episode discussing the transfer news from the past few weeks in college football and how we fell each player handled their transfer. We then move into the NBA where we discuss the Boston Celtics and how they have struggled to find a rhythm and identity so far this season. Then the most interesting topic from this week, the NFL playoffs! We discuss what we believe will happen in this weekends games with the conference championship rounds for both the AFC and NFC.
Following the trend of last week, the boys continue to discuss the biggest topics in sports throughout the week. They start off with the discussion of which NFL head coaching job is better, Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers and Cleveland with all of their young talent. They then move into the biggest discussion of the week, the College Football Playoff and whether or not the committee was right in leaving Georgia out and putting Notre Dame and Oklahoma in. They then move on to the Heisman race between Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, and Dwayne Haskins and who they believe will be the winner. And to finish up the last segment, the boys discuss Urban Meyer and his recent retirement. Then everyone's favorite, What 2 Watch in which the guys break down some of the biggest sporting events happening within the next week
College Football conference championship and playoff special. The guys this week discuss key matchups between the likes of Georgia vs. Alabama, Ohio State vs. Northwestern, Oklahoma vs. Texas, and Clemson vs. Pittsburgh. Followed by a quick recap of the influence these games will have in determining who makes it in the College Football Playoff. To conclude, they then wrap up the episode with the most requested segment What to Watch.
The boys do a quick review of what we've seen out of Duke in the first week of college basketball before entering the NBA and talking about the slow start that the Celtics have experienced in the first ten games this season. We then discuss the All-Star game selection process being televised this year and what our feelings are about it. Followed by a quick discussion about the Saints and Rams and the current state of Quarterbacks in the league. Then we discuss the biggest news from college football all season, the Maryland football program. This week Nathanael and Gabe discuss the start of college basketball and give our reactions to the pre-season poll as well as pick our early favorites for the tournament in March. Then the NFL trade deadline and what we saw, expected, and reactions from the Browns firing of Hue Jackson. We discuss the new Playoff poll and how we feel about UCF being ranked 12th.
