NFL Insider Ian Rapoport and Rich discuss the latest on the apparent tension between the Las Vegas Raiders and All-Pro DE Maxx Crosby, if Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza will throw at the NFL Combine, the Dolphins releasing Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa's uncertain future in Miami, if the Steelers want to bring Aaron Rodgers back, if the Arizona Cardinals could part ways with Kyler Murray, if the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys could slap the Franchise Tag on Super Bowl MVP RB Kenneth Walker III and WR George Pickens. February 16, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 94 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the plethora of roster cuts the Miami Dolphins appear set to make ahead of the start of the 2026 NFL year in March. We do wonder, however, if a few of the Miami reported forthcoming cuts might ultimately be designated for post June 1. Headlining these upcoming cuts the Dolphins will reportedly make are WR Tyreek, Hill, G James Daniels, EDGE Bradley Chubb, and WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Throughout this Monday show, Alex and I address the probability and plausibility that the Pittsburgh Steelers will ultimately select at least one quarterback during the 2026 NFL Draft. We talk about what spending a 2026 draft pick on a quarterback might mean when it comes to veteran backup QB Mason Rudolph and especially if veteran QB Aaron Rodgers is ultimately re-signed. With the Steelers now installing Mike McCarthy as the team's new head coach, Alex and I revisit the team's extensive list of players that are scheduled to become free agents in March. We roll back through that lengthy list of players one-by-one and go over the likelihood of each ultimately being re-signed. As part of our 2026 free agent list rundown during this episode, Alex and I spend extra time discussing the potential futures in Pittsburgh of CB James Pierre, RB Kenneth Gainwell, CB Asante Samuel Jr., and G Isaac Seumalo. There were a few other minor news tidbits concerning the Steelers that surfaced over the weekend, so Alex and I make sure to go over all of those items that are worth mentioning. This 91-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap and we end thus show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. On the Monday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo ponder the team's biggest needs heading into the NFL offseason. Should new coach Mike McCarthy and GM Omar Khan invest more in the offensive line and add a name like Vega Ioane to their young core that includes names like Broderick Jones, Zach Frazier, Troy Fautanu and Mason McCormick? And how much room for growth does that group still have to become an elite unit? ' Our duo ponders those questions, then considers the possibility that this could be a playmakers draft for the Steelers. Would receivers like Jordyn Tyson, Denzel Boston and Makai Lemon be exactly what this offense needs, regardless of whether the QB is Aaron Rodgers or someone else? How much would such a pick free up DK Metcalf on the outside? And is there a chance McCarthy will seek a running back to complement Jaylen Warren and Kaleb Johnson? Especially if Kenneth Gainwell doesn't re-sign? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

The Huskers do it again! A weird, kind of bad half, and then they run away with it, beating Northwestern 68-49. But before the good, the guys dissect the unusual turnover-fest, where the Huskers through basically the same amount of interceptions in one 10-minute stretch of basketball as Aaron Rodgers did the entire 2025 NFL season. And while Rienk Mast seemed completely recovered from his illness a week ago against Rutgers, he had a hard time of it today. The guys try to identify how much of that had to do with a minor pregame injury and evaluate their level of concern. But, like beautiful Spring morning, the sun rose in the second half as Nebraska held Northwestern to 15 points over the last 17ish minutes of the game. Kaleb identifies the key adjustments Nebraska made to turn the tide and how Sam's defense turned into Pryce points (was that a "quiet" 29?). And meanwhile… was this Cale Jacobsen's best ever game at Nebraska? Are we victims of recency bias? It's a Split Vote on the Ryan Anderson Memorial (he's not dead) MVP award; you tell us if Jack or Kaleb was right! Finally, another wet spot on the floor, the lights randomly going out, more stories from Kaleb at PBA, an oddly favorable Big Ten Tourney situation that may be developing, and a look ahead to a late night roadie to Iowa on Tuesday. The Nebrasketball Hour is proudly sponsored by Nebraska Realty! Texans President Mike Tomon details the new Toro District HQ, plus Marc and John play a blind free agent game to pick Houston's next RB from Walker, Hall & ETN. It's Friday the 13th, and Marc Vandermeer and John Harris pack this edition of Texans All-Access with two major segments: a league-wide quarterback confidence ranking and a creative blind free agent running back game that ends with a surprising pick. The show opens with a wide-ranging NFL quarterback discussion sparked by a simple question: how many fan bases can truly plant a flag and say "my quarterback — we're good"? The duo works through every starter in the league, from Josh Allen's injury concerns to Drake Maye's Carson Wentz comparisons, Kyler Murray's uncertain future, Aaron Rodgers' age, and Tua Tagovailoa's fit in Miami under new head coach Jeff Hafley. The conversation loops back to C.J. Stroud and why, despite the playoff disappointment, the Texans remain confident in their quarterback going into 2026. Then John introduces a blind "mystery dating game" for running backs, reading three PFF scouting profiles stripped of names, and asking Marc to pick one. The reveal: Marc chooses Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III of the Seahawks, with Breece Hall of the Jets and Travis Etienne of the Jaguars as the other options. The segment sparks a deeper discussion about free agency running back strategy, Joe Mixon's uncertain status, and what Woody Marks and the backfield need going forward. The show closes with Texans President Mike Tomon's interview with Sean Pendergast and Seth Payne about the newly announced Toro District — the franchise's 83-acre headquarters, training facility, and mixed-use development in Bridgeland. Tomon details the vision for the facility, the partnership with Howard Hughes, the youth sports and women's sports integration, and more.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On the Thursday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko react to the podcast beef between former franchise Super Bowl champions Joey Porter, Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison. Is their back-and-forth over Mike Tomlin criticism too messy? Especially with the franchise moving on into new coach Mike McCarthy's tenure? Are Harrison and Roethlisberger valid in their critiques? Or at least in bounds? Or has the bad blood gotten too personal on both sides? And how does the whole episode that unfolded on Cam Heyward's show this week impact legacies? Our duo tackles those questions then ponders Aaron Rodgers' future amid a report from NFL insider Jason La Canfora that it's either the Steelers or retirement for him in 2026. Is that the logical outcome for the 42-year-old QB at this stage of his career? Or could he still find some magic with a team like the Minnesota Vikings, who have a well-respected play caller in Kevin O'Connell and a young QB in J.J. McCarthy who could be helped by Rodgers' mentorship? Should the Steelers want Rodgers back in their QB room, given his connection to new coach Mike McCarthy from their days with the Green Bay Packers? Or should Rodgers' spot go to a younger player next to Mason Rudolph and Will Howard? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the outlook for the 2026 season for the team, where they will have a new coaching staff, but there does not appear to be a much better option than a return from Aaron Rodgers available at quarterback. If Mike McCarthy and Omar Khan decide to run it back with the veteran signal caller, what else can the Black and Gold accomplish in 2026? It's easy to look at what they accomplished in 2025 as a blueprint, when a half-dozen slots on the roster got locked down by younger players. Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. They have manipulated the TV ratings system to shroud a decline in interest and are now massaging the meaningfulness of competition to add content capable of drawing additional dollars in lieu of the true meaning of each game: the actual competition. The football overlords have their media minions framing a decline in ratings for Super Bowl LX and its Bad Bunny halftime show. Some of sports' greatest moments were derived from inconceivable upsets. Jason equates TPUSA's All-American Halftime Show to one of the greatest upsets since David toppled Goliath. Roger Goodell's mammoth event was upset by Kid Rock, TPUSA, and Christians fighting back after enduring body blow after body blow. Christians are now standing and counter-punching progressive agendas, whether it's during the Super Bowl or coaches and athletes preaching the word and uplifting Jesus. Richie Incognito joins the show, discussing the intricacies of offensive line play and the New England Patriots' inability to counter the Seattle Seahawks' defensive schemes. They will also discuss whether the Los Angeles Rams have an issue on their hands with Puka Nacua; how the Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee should be structured; and whether flag football has a viable future as a collegiate and professional sport. Later, Steve Kim and Jay Skapinac join the show to discuss LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers failing to be a championship contender; whether Jordon Hudson's T-shirt indicates that Robert Kraft undermined Bill Belichick's HOF candidacy; and whether the Pittsburgh Steelers run it back with Aaron Rodgers in 2026. Matt Jones and Drew Franklin are back in Kentucky and watched the Seahawks become Super Bowl Champions! Matt notes the rough night had by Will Campbell, but just how good are the Seahawks? Matt looks ahead to next season and how Seatte's schedule will play out? Drew was impressed by the showing from Seahawks fans in San Francisco. It was a tough. night for Drake Maye and most of the Patriots. Matt wonders if this performance follows him into next season. Recapping the music from the Super Bowl, Matt enjoyed the storytelling during the halftime show, but wished the cameos had more time. Looking back at the season, Matt wonders if this was a changing of the guard or just an anomaly of a year that was wildly entertaining. Does Seattle just run it back with this squad mostly intact? The Patriots path gets much harder next season. The Bears and Patriots were probably a year ahead of schedule, but when does Matt expect to see Chicago in the Super Bowl? Plus, is there a QB that be a diamond in the rough next year like Sam Darnold did for the Seahawks? Mock Draft Monday is here, and we're going beyond the first round. This episode dives deep into all 32 second-round selections, exploring the prospects that could define franchises and the roster holes that keep GMs up at night. We kick things off with a full first-round recap before attacking the second round pick by pick. The Jets triple down on building around Ty Simpson with interior lineman Emmanuel Prenyon. Cleveland faces the reality of needing five new offensive linemen and grabs Chase Besantis. Kansas City lets the talent fall to them with TJ Parker off the edge. The Bengals address their secondary woes, Houston starts future-proofing a defense that's quietly aging out, and Pittsburgh makes the boldest move of the draft — sitting Trinidad Chambliss behind Aaron Rodgers in a Jordan Love replay scenario. For Green Bay, LT Overton becomes the "most Packers pick possible" as a young, toolsy edge rusher who fits the Gutey profile even if the PFF grades make you squint. We also break down why Connor Lou is a trap, why Malik Muhammad's regression is alarming, and why this board just didn't fall well for Green Bay.
