On the Thursday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise to analyze reports that free agent CB Asante Samuel Jr. will visit the Steelers next week. Would GM Omar Khan and coach Mike Tomlin securing a deal with the veteran make up for their quiet NFL trade deadline? Or would it still be reasonable for fans to want to see more new faces beyond Kyle Dugger and Marquez Valdes-Scantling? What are the chances Sameul ever arrives here considering broad interest in him from teams around the league? If the Steelers miss out, will they regret not adding a CB next to Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay Jr.? And what should we make of reports saying Khan was close to completing a deal for Jakobi Meyers or another WR to pair with DK Metcalf as a weapon for Aaron Rodgers? Our duo tackles those questions and takes stock of the Steelers' place in the AFC pecking order. Were the wins against the Colts and Patriots flukes because of the many turnovers generated in those games? And what will it say about this team if it can win in NFL Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo give their practice report ahead of an NFL Week 10 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. This show is presented by FanDuel. How much credit do coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin deserve for adjusting to a simplified defenses for the win against the Colts? With safeties Jabrill Peppers, DeShon Elliott and Chuck Clark out injured? Did it help Kyle Dugger's integration into the defense? And could similar adjustments help T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Jalen Ramsey, Payton Wilson and Alex Highsmith this week as they face a tough challenge from Justin Herbert, Quentin Johnston, Ladd McConkey and the potent Chargers passing attack? Our duo tackles those questions; emphasizes the need to slow the Chargers' running game; and checks in on Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and the offense as they look to extend drives. Also, how likely is would it be for Steelers' QB Aaron Rodgers to go on a retreat in the NFL offseason with someone from The Fan? And another edition of QUIZ CALLAS! November 6, 2025, 8:00 Hour
Adam Crowley, Dorin Dickerson and Pat Bostick discuss the likelihood of Nicholas "Harry" Callas going on a retreat with Steelers' QB Aaron Rodgers in the NFL offseason.
Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve thought the Steelers probably should have added something to the offense at the deadline, but thinks there might be a little bit left in the tank of Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He said MVS has a lot of issues in his game, but if he can still run and have that connection with Aaron Rodgers, it could pay dividends. Steve said we live in a ‘championship or bust' world, which could blind people to future assets. Is the defensive output going to even out? The guys had Steve react to the Steelers cutting DeMarvin Leal earlier today. Is Steve more about traits or production at the college level? Steve picked the Steelers to win in LA.

JT Sports unloads on the Dallas Cowboys after getting embarrassed by the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. He calls out Dak Prescott, questions Jerry Jones' legacy, and demands the NFL stop forcing the Cowboys into primetime. JT breaks down why Jacoby Brissett might have stolen Kyler Murray's job in Arizona and how the Cardinals should finally fold their hand with Kyler Murray. Then, JT dives into Howie Roseman's latest masterclass with the Eagles' blockbuster trades, exposes why the Bengals' locker room has turned toxic, and gives a passionate salute to Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers for bringing real football back to the AFC North. He closes with a reality check on the Commanders' collapse and a legendary take on why Lamar Jackson is the greatest quarterback to ever touch a football.
On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter to react to the team's lack of moves at the NFL trade deadline. How good is GM Omar Khan and coach Mike Tomlin's roster as constituted? Can it win a playoff game? Beat top teams like Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs? Josh Allen and the Bills? Lamar Jackson and the Ravens? Should Khan have been more aggressive in adding a wide receiver for Aaron Rodgers to supplement DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Jonnu Smith, Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth? Or was the price for a guy like Jakobi Meyers too high for a team in the Steelers' position? And would it have been nice to add a DB to help Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay Jr., Kyle Dugger and Joey Porter Jr. amid the secondary's intermittent struggles? Our duo tackles those questions, plus NFL draft options now that we know the team could have up to a dozen picks this coming spring. Should they try to build a deeper roster around names like Ohio Stat3e stars Carnell Tate or Caleb Downs? Or should they sell out to grab a QB like Alabama's Ty Simpson, Oregon's Dante Moore or Indiana's Fernando Mendoza? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. There is a conspiracy theory floating around that Art Rooney II ‘blocked' any trade the Steelers could have made to save draft picks for next April when the event takes place in Pittsburgh. The Steelers are projected to have up to 12 selections that weekend and the owner may feel like holding onto the capital is the best move. Do we think there is anything to this? Former MLB pitcher Matt Clement joined the show. Matt came hot out of the gate talking Pirates free agency, saying his first call would be to JT Realmuto and that they should offer him a 3-year deal. Matt didn't put any blame on Isiah Kiner-Falefa for his baserunning gaffe in Game 7. He added thoughts on some of the other events in the game. How much did he enjoy the final game of the season? Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike said the Steelers should throw away the ugly throwbacks they wore on Sunday Night Football. The guys had Mike react to the trade deadline and the lack of moves from the Steelers yesterday for players like Jakobi Meyers or Rashid Shaheed. Mike doesn't buy into the conspiracy theory that Art Rooney II prevented the front office from making moves. What does he think of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who will stand as the Steelers lone WR move? Mike was surprised they didn't acquire Allen Lazard since the Jets were undergoing a fire sale. Mike doesn't think there should be regret in dealing George Pickens even if they failed to fill that WR2 void. Mike isn't ready to consider the Steelers a serious contender – he said their season comes down to fending off the Ravens. Poni threw out a few QBs that could be available for the Steelers in 2026 if Aaron Rodgers retires after the season. Mike believes Kyler Murray will be available and will possibly get cut by the Cardinals before we enter the offseason. Mike described the YouTube TV feud with Disney/ESPN as ‘unfortunate' because it continues to make things more difficult for the consumer. Mike said if they ‘gave a crap' about the customers, they would resolve this before they do anything else, but there is too much ego coming from the top. Mike said the NFL is powerful enough that they can settle this problem if they really wanted to – saying it's ‘curious' that the league is standing on the sidelines here.
Rodgers' Rebuttals – What did Aaron Rodgers say to the media today? ALL ACCESS w/ Aditi – Aditi said it is fair for people to criticize the Steelers for the lack of moves yesterday. Aditi didn't think the price for guys like Jakobi Meyers and Rashid Shaheed were too steep for the Steelers to take a chance. Aditi talked about players going through breakout games and what it could mean for them going forward. Do the Steelers have guys like that in their WR corps? Broadly speaking, Aditi doesn't see the Steelers among the top 3 or 4 in the AFC, but will be in the playoff picture as always. She said the smarts from Aaron Rodgers has been a true difference maker in the Steelers offense. Out of Poni's somewhat ridiculous QB suggestions for 2026, she said Joe Flacco would be her pick. Donny Football Debrief – A community college in Compton, CA had a rough football season with some ‘grizzly' veterans on the field.

The Steelers newest addition is in town and was at practice. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, an old friend of Aaron Rodgers, was chatting with the media today. MVS credited Rodgers for being the reason why he was in Pittsburgh even though Mike Tomlin simply called him a practice squad guy. MVS also sounds like a guy that will be in the lineup sooner rather than later and not just hanging out at practice. We also got news that Asante Samuel Jr. is visiting the Steelers next week. A reason the Steelers may not have traded a 4th round pick yesterday is due to the record Omar Khan has drafting in that round – which has yet to have a clear miss in 3 years. Are we also overrating those players a little bit? 93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. The guys went over the injury report with Jeff and he thinks Isaac Seumalo is one to watch this week with the ongoing pec injury. Could Andrus Peat see his first action with the Steelers? Jeff thinks Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be on the field the moment he is ready and isn't just a ‘warm body.' Jeff confirmed that Jakobi Meyers was on their radar, but the compensation was just a little too much. Jeff thinks there's a decent chance Asante Samuel Jr. signs here if he makes it to Wednesday as a free agent. Jeff sees a low-scoring game with the Steelers winning in LA. Judge Donny – Are the Penguins a playoff team?

Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise gives his thoughts on the Steelers' moves -- or lack thereof -- at the NFL trade deadline. Did GM Omar Khan and coach Mike Tomlin properly balance the team's present with its future? Especially with numerous extra NFL draft picks in hand with the event coming to Pittsburgh? Did they secure enough help for the struggling secondary around names like Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Kyle Dugger, Darius Slay Jr. and Brandin Echols? Does Aaron Rodgers now have enough pass-catching help alongside names like DK Metcalf, Calvin Austin III, Roman Wilson, Darnell Washington, Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth? And how much can the acquisition of Marquez Valdes-Scantling bolster the group? Paul tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Gerry Dulac and Ray Fittipaldo reacts to the team's NFL Week 9 victory against the Indianapolis Colts at Acrisure Stadium. Why do linebackers T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith and Payton Wilson deserve the most credit for the defense's dominant day, which included six forced turnovers against Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor, Tyler Warren and a Colts offense that entered the game producing at a historic pace? Was the offense a concern in gaining less than 300 yards? Or did Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth prove how dangerous they can be if other teams make mistakes? Did Kyle Dugger show how valuable he can be to this defense in his Steelers debut at safety? And what moves might GM Omar Khan have up his sleeve before the NFL trade deadline? Could he add a No. 2 receiver? Or did Sunday prove that there's not much room for another big name beyond Metcalf in this tight end-heavy offense? Our duo tackles those questions and more. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Ray Fittipaldo react to the NFL Week 9 victory against the Indianapolis Colts. Can T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, Jalen Ramsey and coach Mike Tomlin's defense repeat their dominance of Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor, Tyler Warren at the potent Colts offense? Or will they backslide like they have at times earlier this season? Why was stopping the run with names like Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson they key to getting pressure on Jones and forcing him into turnovers generated by the likes of Jack Sawyer and Joey Porter Jr.? And what impact did new acquisition Kyle Dugger have on the game? Our duo tackles those questions, then ponders how Aaron Rodgers, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, Pat Freiermuth, Cavlin Austin III, Darnell Washington and OC Arthur Smith's offense can improve after they scored enough points to win but miss capitalizing on some opportunities. Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise ponders the Steelers' options ahead of the NFL trade deadline Tuesday. This show is presented by FanDuel. Should GM Omar Khan and coach Mike Tomlin be aggressive in making moves after their team took down one of the NFL's best in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts? Should they look to give QB Aaron Rodgers another weapon alongside DK Metcalf, Roman Wilson, Calvin Austin III, Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith or Darnell Washington? Or would another pass catcher not receive enough targets in OC Arthur Smith's offense to be worthwhile? And does this defense still need another DB next to Jalen Ramsey, Kyle Dugger, Darius Slay Jr. and Joey Porter Jr.? Or did the win against the Colts ease concern about the secondary? Paul tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

While addressing the leadership qualities of QB Aaron Rodgers, Adam Crowley acknowledges his ability to stay healthy after he got himself involved in a dangerous play against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
