In Episode 3 of The Flex, Jake and Geoff tackle the wildest headlines and hottest debates in fantasy football. The show kicks off with Geoff reflecting on betting the Cowboys… again. From there, they dive into Week 11 highlights and the unlikely resurgence of Tommy DeVito. Is he a Thanksgiving Day Top 3 QB? Can he be trusted as your SuperFlex QB4 over Trey Lance or Cooper Rush? The rankings fun spills into pop culture with Danny DeVito vs. Gary Busey and chicken parm vs. McChicken debates. This week's “scale of 1-10” segment explores must-watch Browns football, Bo Nix's dynasty value, and the Panthers' (slim?) upset chances against the Chiefs. Then it's all about over/unders: how many losses do the Lions have left? Can Aaron Rodgers take accountability even once this season? And will Nick Westbrook-Ikhine hit 7 touchdowns? The guys also pick sides: Aaron Rodgers or Daniel Jones as your QB in 2025, Hue Jackson or Mike McCarthy as your next head coach, and the pain of eating only hamburger buns for two weeks vs. missing out on early-week waiver claims. As always, the episode ends with outrageous predictions for Week 12—like Gus Edwards exploding for 145 yards—and an invitation for listeners to share their own bold takes on Twitter and Bluesky @mbfantasylife. Huge show the week before the 2023/24 season gets started. Paul and Iain sit down with a former Browns LB coach who was on the staff in 2009 that won the Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints. You can feel his passion, energy and love for football as we walk down memory lane and talk about all things Browns and Linebackers! We discuss the difficulties of the 2017 season and how the coaching staff prepared for the 2018 season with a star-studded draft class. We talk about true leadership in the locker room from guys like Joe Schobert and Christian Kirksey. What was it like coaching for Hue Jackson? How difficult was it for a team coming off an 0-16 record to be on Hard Knocks? What was the impact that Baker Mayfield had in the building when he walked into Berea and at what speed did the culture change? Blake breaks down the LB position not only on the current Browns roster but also explains the shift in the role today's LB's play in these new defensive schemes. As fans, what can we expect on the defensive side of the ball this season? Blake knows Browns DC Jim Schwartz's system as well as anyone and gives insight into what we could see from Myles Garrett, Denzel Ward & Co. And last but not least ... What was it like growing up in a household with 'The One and The Only' ... Gregg Williams - "Mr. Come Get You Some" himself. You will not find this level of insight anywhere! From the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft to never making another NFL roster 3 years later, Jamarcus Russell joins The Pivot to finally tell his side of the story about what really went on to cause such a short NFL career for the quarterback who had so much potential. This conversation covers everything with emotion filled losses, tension filled frustrations and honest reflection of one of the most disappointing stories in the sport's history. Jamarcus, the highly successful LSU alumni and MVP of the 2007 Sugar Bowl, shares the Tiger ties with Ryan and reached out because he felt after all these years, it was time to answer many of the stories that shadowed his career and ultimately led to his downfall. Giving him every opportunity to explain and take accountability for what went on- Ryan, Fred and Channing ask the tough questions to find answers we all want to know. Getting right into it, the guys ask him about substance abuse stories, not watching film, missing team meetings and relationships with coaches and teammates on the Raiders during his years there. Ryan asks Jamarcus if he considers himself the biggest NFL Bust of all time to a response that may come as a surprise but he also makes it clear where he stands financially after getting 35 million guaranteed and addresses rumors of the former quarterback being broke. Not overlooking his ability to play at a high level, Channing asks Jamarcus how his talent led to losing seasons and not a lot of playing time as Jamarcus talks about his regrets, relationship with Al Davis, Nick Saban, Tom Cable, Hue Jackson and others in the organization who he feels played a role in his short NFL career. Reflecting back on a lot of "What Ifs', Jamarcus tells Fred he often wonders what it would have been like and how the course would have changed if Randy Moss was never traded to New England the year he was drafted and dispelling the rumors of his beef with Jeff Garcia and why he never made it on to another NFL roster.
