No, Nebraska can't make the College Football Playoff. Though they were seen as a dark horse by a few people before the year, they won't be that team. Still, winning 8-9 games is successful…right? Nebraska went 7-6 last year with minimal injuries---now you have a chance to win games with a backup QB in a month they've struggled in…you want the fan base to really believe things are changing here? This is your opportunity. On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") and intern Riley Sager are back in studio recapping Saturday night's USC's 21-17 comeback "Blackout" victory over Nebraska in Lincoln. It was not the cleanest game for Lincoln Riley and the Trojans, but it was an important result that was desperately needed. Now at 6-2 and 4-1 in Big Ten play, No. 20 USC's hopes of reaching the College Football Playoffs are still alive with three home games and one road trip to Eugene left on the schedule. The crew gives their thoughts on some of the key storylines from the game, including an amazing performance by walk-on running back King Miller. Making just his second start, Miller ran for 129 yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts and was the main weapon for the Trojans offense with Jayden Maiava having an off night. The defense stepped up and made plays after Nebraska's opening drive touchdown, forcing a sack/fumble that knocked Dylan Raiola out of the game and coming up big in the second half, only allowing a single field goal to the Huskers. Kicker Ryon Sayeri was also one of the stars of the evening, hitting both of his field goals including one that was just shy of 50 yards. The steady redshirt freshman from Chaminade High School has converted on 14 of his 15 field goal attempts and has been an absolute weapon for USC this season That was the Trojans second Big Ten plane ride road trip victory of the season and Riley and company have a quick turnaround, facing the 5-3 (3-2 B1G) Northwestern Wildcats Friday night in the Coliseum coming off of their bye week. GoVols247's Patrick Brown and Ryan Callahan break down Tennessee's 33-27 home loss to Oklahoma at Neyland Stadium on Saturday night. The Vols saw their College Football Playoff chances snuffed out with three games to go as Josh Heupel's team lost to Josh Heupel's alma mater. Tennessee could have been out of sight early, but a slew of mistakes on offense squandered multiple opportunities for early scores and separation on the scoreboard. A missed field goal and three turnovers represented a huge swing as the Sooners led at the break despite the Dark Mode having big advantages in yards, plays run, first downs and third-down conversions. Then the offense, defense and special teams took turns letting Tennessee down in the second half as Oklahoma took the lead in the third quarter and held off some late attempts at a rally with a fourth-down stop on a dropped pass looming large against the Vols. We discussed what went wrong and where the Vols go from here with their Playoff hopes done. Auburn has fired Hugh Freeze in his third season. The guys discuss where everything went wrong for Auburn and why Freeze wasn't the right guy for the job. They also talk about who they think is the perfect hire to take over the role. We recorded this before the firing was official, but the crew expected it to happen soon. No. 7 Ole Miss improved to 8-1 (5-1 SEC) on the season with a 30-14 win over South Carolina (3-6, 1-6) on Saturday. The Rebels have three games remaining in the 2025-26 season and as they continue their fierce push for a College Football Playoff berth. All the while, Lane Kiffin continues to dominate coaching carousel rumors. In the end, if Ole Miss keeps taking care of its business, all that noise will take care of itself. The Ole Miss Spirit's Ben Garrett and Brad Logan are LIVE after the win and Kiffin's postgame press conference. Suntarine Perkins had his best game of the season and one of the best of his Ole Miss career. to lead helmet stickers. Plus, Ben and Brad go around the SEC. Mississippi State got its first win in nearly 20 SEC games, while Auburn lost at Kentucky. Hugh Freeze is likely toast. Kiffin flirted heavily with the Tigers in 2022. But, so far, the Rebels are showing no signs of a repeating history. While those Rebels lost four of their last five, Ole Miss has won back-to-back games (and its first of November) following the Rebels' only loss of the season at Georgia.
