August 23rd, 2002: Todd Schwartz was one of the very first patients to tell his story on the Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon. The brave 19 year old joined "The Big Show" with Glenn Ordway at the inaugural event. Although he passed away a few months later, Todd's story continues to inspire to this day. Trump talks about the struggling economy, his TV show "The Apprentice" and hears comedian Frank Caliendo do his best Trump impersonation. August 15th, 2017: One of the most emotional stories heard at the WEEI NESN Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon was that of Maddie Leclair. Maddie met Brock Holt at Red Sox spring training and their bond grew instantly. Sadly, Maddie passed away a few months prior to the 2017 Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon. Aug 31, 2011: The inspirational, courageous, and beautiful Avalanna Routh joins Dennis and Callahan along with her parents during the 10th annual WEEI NESN Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon. The late Routh talked about marrying Justin Bieber and went on to paint Gerry Callahan's nails. 6-18-2008: Celtics head coach Doc Rivers joins Dennis & Callahan after the Celtics beat the Lakers in Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals.
5-1-2009: Listen to Cedric Maxwell tell the story of his "tonsillectomy" back when he was eight years old. Max was co-hosting the Big Show with Pete Sheppard and Steve Burton when he told the world about the most traumatizing and troubling tonsillectomy anyone's ever heard. Bessie Maxwell, Max's mom, later calls in to defend herself.
June 18, 2015: As Dino, Gerry and Kirk are trying to decipher exactly when Pablo Sandoval "liked" a photo on Instagram, they turn to their producers for help. However, producers Curtis and Sausage seem to have some trouble and Dino, Gerry and Kirk quickly decide to begin ridiculing the duo. Then, Curtis and Sausage take a stand and decide they won't be speaking on the air anymore.
4-26-2013: Jeff Bauman calls into Dennis & Callahan with Kirk shortly after the Boston Marathon bombing to discuss his recovery, how Carlos Arredondo saved his life, and how he helped law enforcement capture the Tsarnaev brothers.
3-19-03: With the country on the brink of the Iraq War (yes, that winds up being an important part of this argument), the Bruins announced the firing of head coach Robbie Ftorek. As the news breaks, The Big Show with Glenn Ordway, Levan Reid, Rico Petrocelli and Pete Sheppard invited Dale Arnold on the air to discuss the firing. Things quickly got heated between Dale and Pete.
5-2-2007: Red Sox infielder Alex Cora joins the Big Show with Glenn Ordway, Steve Buckley and Sean McAdam to talk about a struggling young second baseman named Dustin Pedroia and whether he sees managing in the big leagues in his future.
