We're at the point where all the things people say about the Sixers to make fun of them are maybe true? We talk about the Doc Rivers to the Lakers soap opera and how important it is to move on, if Daryl Morey actually watches ball and whether he has a blind spot, how the Sixers can, and if they can, build into a title team without trading Maxey, and what Steph Curry's place among all-time greats is and will be. Colin says the Heat have zero room for error after last night's game if they hope to win the series against the Celtics. The Mavericks need to take a page from the Warriors book and build a defensive team around Luka Doncic. Doc Rivers would be the perfect head coach to fit the egos and age of the Lakers, and Baker Mayfield is going to have a real tough time being anyone's franchise quarterback. The 2021-2022 Philadelphia 76ers season has been over for a few weeks, now. Players have had their exit interviews. Coaches have had theirs. Even Daryl Morey made some comments regarding the future. The future is still bright(ish) for the Sixers going into next season, but we at Liberty Ballers wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't do our own 'Year in Reviews' for presidents of basketball operations, and coaches or players, ourselves. There have been several on the site and on the podcast network. This podcast marks Adio Royster's turn. As the sole inhabitant of 'Korkmaz Island', he's tasked with putting some kind of positive spin on Furkan Korkmaz's season. Were there any positives? At times, there may have been, but how much of it was on Korkmaz, and how much of it was on head coach Doc Rivers's choice of rotations, etc? As we go into next season, what are the positives and negatives of keeping the Turkish Delight on the roster Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Earlier today, Marc Stein of The Stein Line reported that the Los Angeles Lakers are in fact still hoping to lure Doc Rivers away from the Sixers this summer. In other news, it seems that the Sixers are thinking about Tyrese Maxey as a long-term piece for this team after they are reportedly unwilling to include him in any trades, per Kyle Neubeck of PhillyVoice. #Sixers #TyreseMaxey #DocRivers #SixersNews #NBA #NBANews Philly Take with RB Merch Store: https://philly-take-with-rb.creator-spring.com/ Subscribe to Philly Take with RB on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ6xo8_BSzZJVYfWEqEt1Gw INSTA: https://www.instagram.com/rbphillytake/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/RBPhillyTake

On tonight's episode of The Gastroenteritis Blues, Steve and Emily first discuss a handful of assorted notes from the week: a rumor that Daryl Morey is dead-set on acquiring a third star this summer, the status of Doc Rivers' rumored flirtation with the Los Angeles Lakers, Danny Green's ever-so-brief trash talk to Patrick Beverley, and whether or not Tyrese Maxey ought to be untouchable on the trade market. In the second half of the podcast, the hosts discuss Sixers swingman Matisse Thybulle being named to his second consecutive All-Defense team before diving deep on what they make of his turbulent season in Philadelphia. Is his defense overrated? Do they want him traded this offseason? If his Sixers career is over, what will serve as the inflection point of his stint in red, white, and blue? Billy King joins the Morning show to discuss the Marcus Hayes story on Doc Rivers. Angelo also gets an interesting offer for Scott Franzke
Billy King talks about the 2021-22 76ers season, the job Doc Rivers did, Daryl Morey's press conference, and more.
In my own belief, the Sixers did make a huge mistake letting Jimmy Butler walk into free agency two years ago. I broke down why Philadelphia lost 99 to 90 in game 6. Also, I did my own analysis on what Daryl Morey had said about bringing back Doc Rivers for the third season and how Morey could move Tobias Harris or another player to acquire a star player. Yes, Jimmy Butler is playing out of his mind in this postseason but another player that has that same dog mentality personality is Washington's guard Bradley Beal who can potentially be in a Sixers uniform sooner than later. For the Philadelphia Eagles, Howie Roseman is just building a winning team after landing CB James Bradberry in free agency on a one-year deal, 10 million. I think this move was something Philadelphia needed to address and Roseman got it done to fill that hole in the secondary department. Now I understand Marcus Epps could be a sleeper to start in the safety position but if Howie Roseman wants to really impress the people from the Philly area, the birds need to trade for star safety from the Bengals Jesse Bates III who is just a monster attacking opponents in the midfield location. Cincinnati and Bates III are in a disagreement on contract talks. It sounds like the safety doesn't even want to play on the franchise tag and when a player is being asked to play on that type of deal that team may not believe in that player's ability to play for them. #sixers67 #eagles67

Is he going to bet on himself and opt in? -Should Daryl Morey be star hunting (Bradley Beal, anyone?) or does this team need more depth? -The Sixers need to add tough, playoff-proven players. I was joined by Zo from the Rights to Ricky Sanchez to discuss SOME FRESH HOT SIXERS TRADE SLOP. The Deal Zone king himself Brian Windhorst leaked some information about the Sixers plans to pursue a third star this offseason and why the draft lottery could effect those plans. Would the team really be willing to trade Philadelphia hero Tyrese Maxey in order to get a third star? We discussed out thoughts on that and tried to guess the third star Windhorst might be hinting at in this interview. Also we discussed: is Doc Rivers really going to be back, how the Sixers can become DAWGS, the Suns major collapse and gave our conference finals and finals predictions. Enjoy!
