This episode is very close to our hearts, on the 16th of March 2020 the Australian Government was forced to instigate an entire shut out of all social venues, which effectively made every musician jobless not to mention every live venue, event, festival, sound crew, lighting, catering. The ripple effect is huge and today we sit down via Skype (due to self isolation) with Gallie a brilliant singer/song writer/Father and Nick Martin (Nick The Genius) Major events producer to (and Father) to really feel the emotion many are going through right now. With a dark time there is always light.     “You can hear every mile traveled by Gallie on his adventurous journey to making The Occoquan River… it is a beautiful piece of work, that takes you on Gallie's literary journey and wraps you in the emotional truth of his music.” Fiachna O'Braonain, Hothouse Flowers and RTE Radio 1’s Late Date   “I wonder if the global reaction is actually more of a problem than the virus for today’s society. But equally, why take a risk that you can easily avoid, especially when you have kids? Time has more value than money in this life, so I’d rather be struggling financially and healthy than have money and risk serious illness any day. Stay at home people - don’t be selfish” Nick Martin.

And it wasn’t just me, it was all of us swirling in this ocean of sweet ass soaring guitars, John Bonham fills and just mad fucking rock together.   Ilan Kidron The Potbelleez

The lingo and dialect of drill rap is what makes it so relateable to people because it's all modern slang that our generation has been familiarised with growing up making it so captivating for drill raps audience filled with intense energy and intense material. It's impossible to sum up my relationship to art and music in one sentence. Music is such an important conductor to my creative process. It's often the fuel my brain needs to push through the day and remain both motivated and inspired. As our moods and feelings change, so does the music we listen to, this can definitely be in the art to be seen in the art. Art and music go hand in hand without a doubt. Lauren Fox

“From as far back I can remember drawing & music have been part of my life, and it’s how I viewed the world around me. Growing up during the bones brigade era, the artwork on the decks drew me in and I could see a clear path to view artwork as functional, disposable and raw fixture that anyone could own. Working within the Surf industry since I was 21 I’ve seen artwork come and go. I reached a point in my life when I realised I needed to get back to what I’d know since I was a kid. Bound by Sea and Dolsen was the starting point to re-ignite my passion for drawing and building a new view of the world.
