Hello, my friend. And welcome back to the Monetize Your Voice Podcast with James 'Fantastik' Hepler thought we're gonna call this part two of your what? And part one, we looked at, what am I doing. What should I be doing? What can I be doing? what is the correct way to do it, to do what I am doing, and to do a real quick summary of that? It's just a matter that you'll get, the answers to those four questions by doing one thing. And that is to do everything with positive thoughts, positive. I gave you several examples about that and we'll now delve into some more of those, what questions or what questions as in what are you doing and what's going on and why is that? What a, what and all that kind of good stuff. And what is your light bulb? So before I get in there I wanna remind you that if you go to mrfantastik.love, you will see a nice little popup thing there that allows you to apply for a free 15 minutes. Get together with yours. Truly we will address what you feel is your largest roadblock, a stumbling block. Speed. To become a confident communicator just do it with confidence, clarity, and comfort control. Yeah. Just having a great time, communicating your thoughts, your ideals, and so forth. So that's mrfantstik.live And now back to the "What's". So the next question. what's wrong with the way I'm doing it or what's wrong with doing it my way? I think the simple answer to that is what are your results of doing it your way? There are many people out there. Their attitude is Hey, it's my way. Or the highway, huh? Yeah. Oh, that's we all know him my way of the highway here in. Pennsylvania Dutch country. We call 'em bull C bull coffer. That means Bullhead. That means blockhead, stubborn determined not to learn any other way of doing it. So the answer is how are things working out, doing it your way now? It may be working out. Fantastic. Hey, let's not try to fix something that isn't broken G on. Rolling. Just be truthful with yourself and ask yourself, am I getting the results I want? You can tell by the reaction of everyone around you. As to whether other people have committed to doing whatever the project is, the way you want to do it. That's the thing. Always, just always be looking and asking yourself that question. Hey, and you can also really even if doing it your way is working. You may want to consider the rest of the folks that are involved in whatever the project is or the business or the family event. For some input to possibly doing it better. Now, they're wrong with that. It also shows that you are a very mature human being. I'll give you a perfect example. We just had our 52nd family reunion very recently. And I had my dear friend and good buddy with me, Kathleen. And we do this thing called the crazy bingo. And so we're playing this thing and it's a lot of fun and so forth. And she suggested a similar game, played a different way, which could be easier and more fun. I said, Hey, I think we're gonna consider that for number 53. So you see if we are open-minded we can always learn. We can always be better. Okay. Now the next question under the Watts is not an easy one to address. What's the matter with me? Is it me? , am I all right? And everybody else is all wrong or am I the one that's all wrong? And everybody else is all right. So again, what are we doing? Whatever the action is with positivity we want the very best for whoever we're serving, as well as wanting the very best for ourselves. Okay. I think when we do that I doubt that we will ask ourselves this question very often. What's the matter with me? Now, there are times when we do that you walk away just scratching your head because you tried to communicate what, whatever the subject or situation was. And you the other person didn't get it. Okay. And that's what TACC is all about The Art of Confident Communicatione. We ask questions when we're looking, you can see the look on the person's face and that you have not connected with that person. So then we have to ask questions, which is all part also of tall, the art of laser listening. And of course the fantastic, confident communication formula or the FCC formula. And these are all things that you learn at mrfantatik.live or jamesfantatik.com. One leads to the other and all that other kinda gobbly go. And speaking of which if you would like, we will be more than happy. To send you five easy steps to up-leveling. You are communication skills. That's at mrfantatik.live And also there you can apply for a free 15-minute breakdown investigation, uncovering what is your biggest roadblock to being a confident community. That's all mrfantatik.live. So let's get back to this the what deal here and that tough question. What's the matter? What's the matter with me? We can find that out real quick just by asking numerous different questions. And when we see that we aren't getting our message through. Part of what you may want to consider. I do this on a very regular basis when I'm mentoring, particularly youngsters that help me out with my lawn and garden work. The first time that I meet the youngster, I just lay at the whole nine yards out and I tell them there's this thing in the world that there is no such thing as a dumb question. And here@ jamesfantastic.com. We say there is one dumb question, one dumb question. The one that we don't ask. So in doing that, I'm explaining to these teenagers, the project that we're doing. I tell them when I ask you, do you understand if you're nodding your head affirmatively, I need your brain to be going in the same direction. I don't need your head going affirmatively and your brain going left to right in a non-affirmative manner. If it doesn't work for any of us, then we have to redo it. And what it does, it just creates a lot of frustration. So the next one is what's making the challenge so difficult. What's making the challenge so difficult? The challenge is I don't think my teenage son or teenage daughter is getting what I'm trying to get through. In that particular case, it could be a thing called hormones, which is causing a lot of havoc. And we have to. Around that and recognize a good friend of mine that has a set of twins a girl and a boy set. And they just turned 13 and the hormones are now. Boom boom. That's one of the things, again, we have to look at outside. Sometimes there are outside sources that make the challenge difficult and there is a great saying, and I think I can get this relatively quickly for you. I want to read this because. I do not want to misstate it. It's from the booked day by day with James Allen. And this has been by my side for the last eight years. So I know what's going on. So to answer this question in another way we go, we'll answer it with a statement. What's making this challenge so difficult, no situation can be difficult in itself. It is the lack of insight into its intricacies and the want of wisdom in dealing with it, which give rise to the difficulty. Immeasurable, therefore is the gain of a difficulty transcended. So this four-sentence paragraph has blessed me exponentially over the years in trying to solve these different I call 'em opportunities to grow. I don't call 'em obstacles. I call 'em opportunities to grow. As this question says, what's making the challenge so difficult? I don't refer to 'em as challenges or obstacles I call 'em opportunities to grow so I'm gonna read that to you. One more. Because it is, I think it is a cornerstone to answering the question. No situation can be difficult in itself. It is the lack of insight into its intricacies and the want of wisdom in dealing with it, which give rise to the difficulty immeasurable. Therefore the gain from a difficulty transcends. And that is from the book as a man thinketh written by James Allen. Oh my gosh. About 120 years ago, an amazing and amazing little book. I can't give you a high enough recommendation to pick it up and read it and reread it and so forth. So I hope that helps. The next question is what's my first best step? What's my first best step at solving that challenging? What's the word I want to use there? That's a good question situation. What's the best way of dealing with an unkind neighbor, a sibling spouse, et cetera, et cetera? Let's go back to that previous one. Four-sentence paragraph. I read you. And I think the insight of that is, that it lets us gain insight into what we are trying to do, and that will help us determine and develop what my first best step could be. And I think that's part of the opportunity to grow in all aspects of life. At least that's the way I look at it. Anyhow, I think that we need to keep our eye on the ball as they say in most sports and I'm, I've been hacking around golf most of my life and the big thing there is always say, keep your head down, keep your head down and keep it still. And every time. Let's just say the vast majority of times I keep my head down and keep it still. I hit the ball quite well and normally in the direction I want it to go. So what's my first best step? Let's do some investigating. What are the intricacies of this opportunity to grow? If that makes sense. Okay. So there we go. There are some more Watts. Now we're gonna do another session, cuz we may even do part three and part four, cuz that I've got a lot of these things up what if this happens and what if that happens and so forth. And I think we should all challenge that and delve in and get, find out the intricacies of whatever our opportunity to grow happens to be. We'd like to allow you to grow here in the Monetize Your Voice Podcast, go to mrfantatik.live, and. You'll see all the information, we got a whole bunch of freebies there, including your opportunity to apply for a 15-minute session with yours. Truly. Do that when at your earliest opportunity, I think it'll benefit you greatly, it's so much fun to be here with you and then Monetize Your Voice Podcast. We've finally made it to episode 100 and to celebrate, we're discussing every album by the Melvins from 1987-1997. This is our first multi-part episode, which is a trend we plan on continuing from now on. Made up of core members Buzz Osborne (aka King Buzzo) on guitar/vocals and Dale Crover on drums, the Melvins are most known for pioneering sludge metal. You ever hear of a band for a long time, and never actually listen to them, and somehow avoid hearing literally one note of any of their music, and develop an idea of them, and then one day you hear them and it's totally different than what you thought and completely blows your mind and you wonder how you never heard them before? Welcome to my brain, when this week's guest, bay area staple Mean Dave, dropped by to show us the album Bullhead by Melvins. This record is sludgey, chunky, and weird, and so are we, so it just fits. We also talk backyard wrestling, take a deep dive into horror movies, and discuss the horrors of chain link fences, and Dave proves he really knows his Melvins. Sorry for the small audio problems this week, but we hope you still enjoy this episode of Spin Doctors! Thanks to Pale Blue Dot for our theme For You... A memorial to New Mexicans who were lost during WWII. The meaning of the memorial at Bullhead Park.
(From the April 10th, 2021, Carolina Outdoors, Segment 2): Bullhead Creek located in Stone Mountain State Park (NC State Park system), Roaring Gap, NC was once a private, trophy trout stream in the Stone Mountain, NC community. This stream that flows into the E. Fork of the Roaring River was just below the Blue Ridge Parkway & became a part of the state park in 1969. However, at the time it was to continue being managed as trophy waters. Sam Johnson joins the Carolina Outdoors to speak on his research, updates & current view of Bullhead Creek's history. It is now a Wild Trout stream & Johnson explains what happened to the large 20+ inch fish that once roamed this beautiful stream of plunge pools and manicured beats. This stream & dozens of others are featured in Johnson's recently published book, Fly Fishing the Blue Ridge Parkway-NC Section, that is available at Jesse Brown's (call 704.556.0020 to purchase).
(From the April 10th, 2021 Segment 1) The Outdoor Guys from Jesse Brown's talk about the back ways to the SC Coast & the enjoyment of getting off the interstate before turning their heads west with Sam Johnson and his overview of Bullhead Creek & it's change from private trophy water, to state sponsored trophy waters to the wild trout stream that it is now. (Mar 26, 2020) Bullheads are slimy and hard to clean without hurting yourself, but both those qualities help them survive. The spines protect them for being swallowed whole, and their lack of scales makes way for thousands of cells that let them "smell" the water with their whole bodies, and even identify each other in a group. They also herd their young together for protection, watching over them for an extended period. Martha Foley and Curt Stager talk trash about bullheads.

Dave and Alonso are kind of bummed this week, because if you can't trust Nicolas Cage and the guys behind "Crank" to make an interesting movie about a flaming skeleton who rides a motorcycle, what's the point?

Welcome to the show, It's November 2009. The pattern we'll share today was designed by the originator of the Elk Hair Caddis as an imitation of a baitfish common to both trout and smallmouth bass streams. It was designed to fool wary Madison River browns, but its one of the best smallie flies you'll every cast - especially in the early season. This is one you need to carry!
