Join Bill for Episode 736 of the Pennsylvania Rock Show as he features Pittsburgh artist Maleena. Maleena is on the verge of releasing her third album, “For The Love of Everything Beautiful.” This album represents the third installment of Maleena's deeply personal musical trilogy. The journey began with “Bruises to Prove It,” an exploration of adolescence and the trials of youth, which she started writing when she was just 15. The second chapter, “Diary of a Music School Dropout,” captured her frustrations with the college system and the turbulence of that period. In this third album, Maleena navigates the complexities of adulthood, seeking comfort and clarity through music. While this album completes the current trilogy, it also opens the door to new possibilities and future explorations. This work stands as a testament to the enduring power of music as a source of solace and self-discovery, reflecting her ongoing journey and growth. Bottle Rats In The Trap is a mix that consist of all the genre you would hear in a top 40 club like Las Vegas and Liv in Miami. I'm also introducing a new genre: Trap House. The term "Bottle Rat" is defined as a female (or even male) that bounces from table to table drinking the "ballers" alcohol. The "trap" is defined as the spot in the hood where drugs are sold. "Trap music" is a sub genre in hip hop. Bottle rats are found in the house scene and hip hop scene. If there is alcohol they are there. This mix fuses all the major genre in a tasteful, creative manner. I play more hip hop in this mix then any of my other major mixes. The change that's currently happening in music is heading towards a hip hop direction. Hence the evolution of trap house. Trust me on this musical journey.
