it's another double dip of danielle chelosky's writing this episode, as we cover baby bruise and female loneliness epidemic. after lamenting what twitter has become (and what we lost), we talk about the title of chelosky's short story collection, how frank o'hara's meditations in an emergency relates to the work, and how we continue to approach her work as though it's not auto-fiction. we talk about the evolution of stories written about young people, the vivid first lines in female loneliness epidemic, and the benefits of telling technology-agnostic stories. we explore the evolution of chelosky's writing from cheat through “terror,” and we pivot to discussing baby bruise by discussing how her short-form writing compares to her longer-form stuff. in discussing baby bruise, we talk about teen girl music tastes and the relatability of the musical taste elements in the text, whether the character of dave is very sad or high comedy (or both), and how the book never gets as dark as you imagine it might. reading list for season fifteen cheat and show me your face by danielle cheloskypregaming grief by danielle cheloskybaby bruise and female loneliness epidemic by danielle chelosky
Abuse doesn't always leave physical scars, but it always leaves an impact. In this episode of the Journey Beyond Divorce Podcast, I sit down with Annette Oltmans — survivor, author, and founder of The M3ND Project — to shine a light on the realities of emotional and covert abuse, and the all-too-common retraumatization that happens when victims seek help but are met with disbelief or dismissal. Annette's groundbreaking work on Double Abuse® gives language to what so many survivors have experienced but struggled to name. Together, we explore what emotional and covert abuse really look like, the risks of misusing terms like “gaslighting” or “narcissism” in legal contexts, and how to safeguard your credibility when telling your story in court or to professionals. We talk about why so many therapists, clergy, and attorneys still miss the signs of abuse and how you can begin finding the ones who truly understand. Most importantly, we discuss how to take those first healing steps with support that validates your experience and helps you move forward. We also highlight valuable resources from The M3ND Project, including free guides, training, and tools designed to help both survivors and professionals respond with clarity and compassion. If you've been struggling to put words to your experience or to find the right help, you are not alone. This conversation will give you insight, hope, and practical direction as you take steps to heal and rebuild your life. Concerns started with large dark bruises on President Trump‘s hands. Then comments were made about how large his ankles appeared. He'd been spotted wandering back-and-forth along the red carpet when he met Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Add to that, Trump's nonsensical ramblings, inability to focus or remember things, and there are serious worries about whether Trump is okay. Vice President JD Vance spoke to the media and said he was ready to step in if needed but to him, the president seemed healthy. Over the weekend, some pictures were posted of the President leaving to play golf, but people quickly realized the photos were a year old. Now, the rumors and memes are running wild as the White House announces a statement by Trump today. Tech Tuesday brings Jefferson Graham to the show. Donald Trump's hands have become the latest focus of public scrutiny. Recent photos show recurring bruises on both hands—sometimes covered with makeup. The White House says it's from “handshakes” and aspirin, tied to Trump's chronic venous insufficiency. But many Americans aren't convinced, and speculation about his health is only growing. In this episode of The Diamond K Show, Diamond K breaks down: Why Trump's hand bruises are raising red flags

Ep. 212 Have you ever ignored the red flags because the fear of being alone felt heavier than the pain of staying?
In this insightful episode, Mary welcomes back homoeopath Ekta Kaur Ross to discuss one of the most beloved and essential remedies in homoeopathy: Arnica. Ekta describes Arnica as her “kingpin remedy”—a go-to for beginners and experienced users alike. Whether you're dealing with a physical injury, emotional trauma, or preparing for surgery, Arnica has something to offer. What Is Arnica? Arnica is a yellow-flowered plant from the sunflower family, often found in high-altitude mountainous regions. It's also known as mountain daisy or leopard's bane. Interestingly, these are the very places where accidents are more likely to occur—mirroring Arnica's role in healing bruises, trauma, and falls. Ekta explains how Arnica is transformed from a herbal remedy into a safe and gentle homeopathic remedy through dilution and potentisation. When to Use Arnica Ekta stresses that Arnica should be a staple in every household: in your handbag, bathroom, car, or bedside drawer. The classic advice? “If in doubt, give Arnica.” It's especially useful for: Bruising, knocks, and falls Pre- and post-surgery support Dental work and recovery Labour and childbirth Sports injuries Emotional trauma and shock Arnica for Old Injuries and Emotional Healing While Arnica is widely known for acute injuries, Ekta also highlights its use in chronic or lingering symptoms—especially when someone says, “I've never been well since...” Arnica helps improve circulation and shift stagnant emotional or physical trauma. Whether it's an old car accident or a past emotional shock, Arnica can bring deep healing and movement where there was stagnation. The Arnica Constitution Ekta touches on Arnica as a constitutional remedy—where it matches the person's overall state. These individuals often downplay their pain (“I'm fine, I'm okay”) and prefer to care for others. Circulation issues, emotional distancing, and the tendency to hide vulnerability are common themes. Self-Prescribing Arnica For newcomers to homoeopathy, Ekta recommends starting with Arnica in 6C or 30C potency. It's easy to use, has no side effects, and is safe for everyone—including newborns and pets. Take one pill, and if no relief is felt after 10 minutes, repeat up to three times. Often, relief comes quickly. Ekta calls Arnica the “accelerator” of recovery. It can reduce the need for conventional painkillers and helps the body self-heal more efficiently. Creams, Pills, and Practical Tips Arnica also comes in topical creams, which can be helpful for bruises—so long as the skin is not broken. However, the internal pill form is often more effective, working from the inside out. Store your remedies away from heat, light, and strong smells to preserve them—they can last for decades when stored properly. Jon Herold kicks off this Monday episode with birthday laughs and a bruise on his forehead, but quickly dives into serious ground: the unraveling of Spygate. Featuring clips from John Ratcliffe and John Solomon, Herold explores new claims about hidden documents, FBI corruption, and Cash Patel's evolving role as FBI Director. He lays out a detailed timeline connecting major events, including Obama and Clinton's July 5th flight, DNC coordination, and potential RICO-based strike force plans. He also discusses political redistricting drama in Texas, Trump's tariff threats against India, and Fed appointments, all while questioning mainstream narratives about job numbers and the census. The episode is layered with insight, humor, and a healthy dose of skepticism, plus some live audience sass. Stick around for Trump's surprising shoutout to Sydney Sweeney and a Gart livestream promo to wrap it all up.

This two-part broadcast moves from the relatable to the urgent. First, the hosts share a lighthearted look at life's many minor injuries—those 4,000 cuts and bruises we accumulate over a lifetime—and the everyday chaos of parenting, like surviving road trips and teaching teenagers to drive. Then, the conversation shifts dramatically to expose how China is waging a quiet war against the United States. Senator Ted Cruz sounds the alarm on Chinese Communist Party efforts to bankroll environmental lawsuits and fund bogus climate research in U.S. universities, all to cripple America's energy sector and secure China's future as the world's sole superpower. Meanwhile, Democrats and complicit Republicans are allowing this sabotage to continue unchecked. From bioweapons targeting crops and livestock to critical rare earth mineral control, this episode underscores how complacency and corruption in Washington are putting every American's prosperity and security at risk.
This episode kicks off lightheartedly with a humorous dive into how Americans rack up thousands of minor injuries over a lifetime—scrapes, cuts, and all—with a poll revealing Band-Aid habits, parental duties, and even “tough guy” reluctance to wear floral-patterned first aid. But the tone shifts fast as Tara tears into a Senate budget bill packed with wasteful spending and shocking provisions. From restoring subsidies that benefit China's green tech, to allowing taxpayer-funded sex changes and gutting Medicaid restrictions for illegals, she slams the GOP's Lindsey Graham for caving on key conservative issues. A mix of everyday relatability and explosive political commentary, this show exposes how little injuries compare to the self-inflicted wounds of Washington's broken leadership.

A brilliantly simple section of Scripture that tells us the Gospel saves and seals us with the Holy Spirit when we hear and believe. However, this same section of Scripture has been complicated by 2000 years of theology; we attempt to bring clarity and comfort from these words.

For one child in the remote redwoods of California, that eerie beat became the soundtrack to a terrifying few years. Scratching in the night. Growling in the shadows. Shoves down the stairs. Bruises on waking, yet nails too short to scratch. While prayer and faith briefly silenced the chaos, the haunting memories remain: the unexplainable fever, the voices overhead, and the primal fear that something malevolent had claimed a corner of that hippie commune-turned-Christian retreat. Was it all a demonic attack, a lingering spirit, or an echo of past traumas? If you have a real ghost story or supernatural event to report, please write into our show or call 1-855-853-4802! The Bruises of Bondage run deep—not just on the Body, but on the Soul, on the Mind, and on the Balance Sheet. They come from years of being Locked out the Game, taught to trade time for money, to consume but never to own. Wall Street wasn't built for us—but we here now. And the market? That's the new battlefield. The bruises we carry are the remnants of a system designed to keep us blind to the power of ownership. But listen—Every Bruise is a Lesson. Every Scar is a symbol of Survival. And Survival ain't the end goal—Freedom is. See, bondage is Poverty dressed in Tradition. It's generational struggle passed down like an heirloom. But when we step into the market, we break that cycle. When we learn the game, buy the assets, flip the mindset—we turn pain into profit, Struggle into Strategy. Spiritual wealth and Financial wealth—they walk together. You can't elevate spiritually and stay broke mentally. That's why this journey is bigger than money—it's about resurrection. Rebirth. It's about looking at your past and saying, "That was the last generation to be bound." So wear your bruises with pride—they're not reminders of weakness, they're the fingerprints of resilience. You didn't come this far to stay stuck. This is about Freedom & Legacy. TRUMP TRAGEDY | Wallstreet Trapper (Episode 137) Trappin Tuesday's
Not all bruises are visible—and some of the deepest ones live in the hearts of our children. In this powerful episode, we talk about the unseen wounds of emotional abuse, especially when you're parenting alongside a covert narcissist. What happens when the world only believes abuse if they can see it? What happens to the children growing up in that invisible war zone? If you've ever felt dismissed because your scars weren't physical, or if you're watching your children carry emotional weight no child should bear, this episode will speak to your soul. You'll hear validation, truth, and hope for healing—for you and for your kids. This one's for the parent who keeps showing up, even when no one sees how hard it is. You are not alone. And your love is rewriting their story.

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Mike: Doc by the time you read this, I will have completed the big 5.. Can you simplify food combinations of how to eat? Don't eat this with that. I like to keep things simple. I think people over think & complicate everything when it comes to health. Eat the colors of the rainbow at every single meal. Thanks for keeping it simple for meatheads like me who just want to live happy healthy lives & preform at our best. Maryann: Hi Dr. Cabral. I struggle with bouts of severe fatigue that is accompanied by a pain/ache in my lower right back. It starts with the lower back pain a day or 2 in advance and the fatigue then begins with me struggling to wake in the morning, like I am trying to come out of anesthesia. This fatigue can last for a day or a week. I have had an xray and MRI for the back pain which have not shown any issues. All of my routine bloodwork is within normal lab ranges. I have Hashimotos (I take Synthroid daily) and am Celiac, on a strict gluten free diet for 15 years. I do not drink alcohol or caffeine, I strength train 4X a week and walk 4 miles daily. I take daily Vitamin D and calcium supplements. Doctors/specialists have no answers. Any insight you have is very much appreciated! Thanks Milan: Hello Dr.Cabral. I am an IHP and would like to ask your opinion about tiny bruises under the skin. My client keeps on developing those and we can't figure out the reason. She had some yeast, parasite issues that we have solved already, estrogen dominance that we work on right now, omega3/6 ratio is 4/1, no issues on CBC. She is following an paleo diet and lives very clean. Aside from her estrogen dominance supplements, she also takes activated B, 1g of vitamin C, Zn, Omega3, probiotics, D/K2. What could be the reason for her brushing, am I missing something? Mike: Dr Cabral, I have a question regarding poor wound healing and and frequent muscle injuries. I am 44 years old ectomorph, 5'10”, 160 lbs, 10% body fat. I eat smoothies with collagen, goat whey, berries, pears, apples, coconut milk for breakfast, vegetarian lunch with chickpeas, potatoes, vegetables, olive oil, hemp, dinner with rice, vegetables, animal protein, olive oil. I exercise 6 days per week for 45 minute (2x strength training, 2x cardio, 2x yoga). According to my calculation I get about 120g protein, 100g fat, 250g carbs, and overall about 7 servings of fruit/vegetables on daily basis, and about 2400kcal. Could frequent injuries and poor wound healing be due to insufficient calories for my body type and energy expenditure? By the way, my omega 6 to 3 ratio is 3/1 without supplement. Olive: Hi Dr C I'm an IHP2M My question is about adding probiotics to my daily routine & how much is too much. I take a 12 Billion multi-strain probiotic. I'm also exploring a ‘mental wellness' blend that claims to ‘Optimize your gut-brain axis with a synergistic combo of clinically validated probiotics, prebiotics, and phytobiotics to increase the production of your feel-good neurotransmitters'. Has: Lactobacillus R0052 for positive mood, Bifidobacterium R0175 for stress resilience, Lactobacillus R0011 for gut health for a total of 65 mg. Also prebiotic mix, L-glutamine, L-Theonine, & more fruit extracts. Will this blend add too much bacteria to my gut, and what are your thoughts on the effectiveness of this helping mental wellness by supporting the gut-brain axis? Thank you.
