Lauren Hennessy is a transgender man but in saying that it is SO simplifying our conversation. Hennessy helped me understand her particular brand of transgenderness in a way that I could really understand that I never have before. She's also charming and fun and sexy in a dude way. She's married to Keith and the Girl podcaster, Chemda Hennessy and works as comic Judy Gold's assistant. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/23/transgender-man-medical-intervention_n_5869118.html
Keith and the Girl (Keith Malley, Chemda Hennessy) are podcast legends. They were around before iTunes and still have one of the best shows out there. Keith and Chemda join me today to talk comedy, consciousness, podcasting. We had a lot of laughs on this one. One of Petey's favorite Podcasts is Keith and the Girl, which is a show he has also recently been a guest. This week his studio mic was blessed by the lovely Chemda Hennessy, one half of the duo that makes up Keith and the Girl. Petey and Chemda get personal and get to know each other better. She talks crazy past guest experiences and what it's like to be a Middle Eastern Woman working in a field that is not traditionally approved by her culture. Chemda was born in Israel and has lived in New York City since she was 4 years old. She hosts the What's My Name show, a themed talk show. She also co-hosts as 'The Girl' of Keith and the Girl, a daily award-winning comedy talk show. Chemed's first published book, What Do We Do Now, was released March 2010 and offers comedic yet sincere relationship advice. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
