It might not seem to you at first, but once you have been living here you see how "white washed" Mexico is and how does this affect daily life for millions of Mexicans across the country, and how will it affect you once you are living here in Mexico. Join us for an electrifying episode of our podcast as we sit down with AJ Rice, the dynamic CEO of Publius PR and a self-described “anti-woke samurai.” Rice pulls back the curtain on the high-stakes world of political public relations, sharing his experiences working with some of the most influential figures in the MAGA movement, including Judge Jeanine Pirro, Donald Trump Jr., and a roster of disruptors shaping the second Trump administration. Rice dives into the dichotomy of the PR landscape in Washington, D.C., exposing the “deep state” firms that vacuum up money while the American people are left in the dust. He recounts his bold decision to back Trump early on, a move that led to bestselling books and a front-row seat in the MAGA cinematic universe.  From navigating the publishing world to working with Trump's publishing house and Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign, Rice reveals how his firm became a hub for disruptors like Pam Bondi, Tulsi Gabbard, and Dan Bongino, who are now shaking up the political establishment. Beyond PR, Rice discusses his own literary contributions, “The Woking Dead” and “The White Privilege Album,” which he describes as humorous yet incisive counterattacks against wokeism and cultural Marxism. Drawing from his Philadelphia roots and love for comedy, Rice uses irreverent humor to challenge political correctness, defend Western civilization, and dismantle the race hustle. He argues that terms like “white privilege” are coded attacks on the middle class and nuclear family, designed to erode the foundations of a free society. With a nod to his mentors, including Lee Habeeb, Rice shares his formula for engaging audiences: inform, educate, and entertain. He warns of the dangers of controlling language and thought, likening modern wokeism to historical authoritarianism. As he prepares to release the third volume of his series, Rice leaves listeners with a call to resist cultural erasure and embrace the disruptive spirit of Trump's second term.  Tune in for a no-holds-barred conversation that's as entertaining as it is thought-provoking! https://publiuspr.com/ Twitter/X - @PubliusPR

He has spent the past 25 years speaking to audiences in all 50 states, on over 1000 college and high school campuses, at hundreds of professional and academic conferences, and to community groups across the nation. He has also lectured internationally in Canada and Bermuda, and has trained corporate, government, law enforcement and medical industry professionals on methods for dismantling racism in their institutions. Wise's antiracism work traces back to his days as a college activist in the 1980s, fighting for divestment from (and economic sanctions against) apartheid South Africa. After graduation, he threw himself into social justice efforts full-time, as a Youth Coordinator and Associate Director of the Louisiana Coalition Against Racism and Nazism: the largest of the many groups organized in the early 1990s to defeat the political candidacies of white supremacist and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. From there, he became a community organizer in New Orleans' public housing, and a policy analyst for a children's advocacy group focused on combatting poverty and economic inequity. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Smith College School of Social Work, in Northampton, MA., and from 1999-2003 was an advisor to the Fisk University Race Relations Institute in Nashville, TN.   Wise is the author of seven books, including his highly-acclaimed memoir, White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son, as well as Dear White America: Letter to a New Minority, and Under the Affluence: Shaming the Poor, Praising the Rich and Sacrificing the Future of America. His forthcoming book, White LIES Matter: Race, Crime and the Politics of Fear in America, will be released in 2018. His essays have appeared on Alternet, Salon, Huffington Post, Counterpunch, Black Commentator, BK Nation, Z Magazine and The Root, which recently named Wise one of the “8 Wokest White People We Know.” Wise has been featured in several documentaries, including “The Great White Hoax: Donald Trump and the Politics of Race and Class in America,” and “White Like Me: Race, Racism and White Privilege in America,” both from the Media Education Foundation. He also appeared alongside legendary scholar and activist, Angela Davis, in the 2011 documentary, “Vocabulary of Change.” In this public dialogue between the two activists, Davis and Wise discussed the connections between issues of race, class, gender, sexuality and militarism, as well as inter-generational movement building and the prospects for social change. Wise is also one of five persons—including President Barack Obama—interviewed for a video exhibition on race relations in America, featured at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC. Additionally, his media presence includes dozens of appearances on CNN, MSNBC and NPR, feature interviews on ABC's 20/20 and CBS's 48 Hours, as well as videos posted on YouTube, Facebook and other social media platforms that have received over 20 million views. His podcast, “Speak Out with Tim Wise,” launched this fall and features weekly interviews with activists, scholars and artists about movement building and strategies for social change.   Wise graduated from Tulane University in 1990 and received antiracism training from the People's Institute for Survival and Beyond, in New Orleans. We open with the “Luka revenge game” as the Lakers and Mavericks faced off for the first time since the blockbuster trade. Rob feels like Lakers fans are looking to win it all right now, and Luka needs to tighten up on the other end of the floor if they’re even going to have a shot. Rob has still not committed to this move because of a bad loss to the Hornets and some tight wins that should have been bigger. This week’s story was about Luka’s taste for “beer and hookah” in Dallas was one of the reasons they moved on from him, and even though he has trimmed out in LA we wonder how long it will take before he gets comfortable again.   Rob also has strong words for the “fans” that are threatening Nico’s family and kids, and we talk about the roots of that kind of fandom and how the Mavs may have had a hand in creating the Luka-monster in Dallas before trading him away. Plus we talk about Wembanyama being out for the season and what that means for Jaren Jackson Jr’s hunt for a supermax deal, and how Evan Mobley might have torpedoed the entire deal. And with Naz Reid potentially on the move, we talk about how he should be getting more starts in Minnesota with the numbers and level of play he’s shown so far this season.   Plus the story of the year so far in the NBA is easily the bounce back of the Detroit Pistons under J.B. Bickerstaff and Cade Cunningham, and how Detroit plays with more attitude then most in the league. And it wouldn’t be a week in the NBA without looking at the demise of the Philadelphia 76ers, as Paul George continues to struggle and Joel Embiid remains hurt. Rob digs up his pre-season playoff list to make a point that even though he picked the Sixers to make the playoffs, we all had bad picks when we knew nothing at the start of the season. That leads us into the current NBA standings and how we see this last month of the season shaking out.   We close it out with an inspiring Big Shot of the Week to an officer who went the extra mile to help a young kid delivering pizzas in the snow… followed by a hilarious edition of Black Crime or White Crime!

What is white privilege? Thanks for asking! Like a lot of things, the concept of white privilege comes from the USA. It means that simply being white gives a person additional benefits or rights compared to those of other skin colours. Why are we talking about white privilege right now? The notion has increasingly been brought into the spotlight in recent years by movements like Black Lives Matter, who campaign for greater racial equality all over the world. White privilege is now a commonly used term in the rhetoric of antiracist groups, both online and offline. There has been a backlash, especially from conservatives, against the idea that such privilege exists. Tensions are running particularly high at the moment, due to ongoing protests around the world against racial violence and injustice. This follows the death of George Floyd on May 25th, at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis. When was born the concept of white privilege? The underlying concepts of white privilege date back to the work of black American sociologist W.E.B. Dubois in the 1930s. He observed that black farmers and labourers had less advantages compared to white people doing the same jobs. He introduced the idea of a “psychological wage” for white workers. This meant despite being poor, they still had greater chances of being admitted to public functions and better schools.  Do white people have still white privilege? How can we reduce white privilege and get to a more equal society? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! To listen the last episodes, you can click here: What is CrossFit? Happy New Year and welcome to 2024! A brand new... FUCK. Why does the new year make some of dumber than usual? I don't know but I do know that the Grinders are back. Or at least, they will be. They still have one final episode before they return in 2025. They will be back with more of the insanity of Game Night, the thoughtful conversations of the Driver's Seat, and the fantastical Panic Room. But first, let's flash back... Back to the past. To an ancient time, I like to refer to as 2024. In that distant past the Grinders would start every episode with the latest news. Updates on when those games will join the rest of us in the future. Games like OFF, AI Limit, and Ys vs Trails in the Sky Alternative Sage may have been made in the distant past but will be arriving in 2025.  They maybe from a past long forgotten but the Stinkos of history should never be lost. The past is seemingly doomed to repeat itself as Republicans, Democrats, racism, and misogyny never seem to go out of style. Democrats and Republicans worked together to give themselves raises while discriminating against the Trans community. Not to be out done, Disney made sure to spread their own brand of transphobia. Anyone who thinks misogyny and racism are dead, should see how her new (now former) fan base reacts to Caitlin Clark's interview about White Privilege.  With the end of 2024 came the final episode of Panic Room. Well, maybe not the final episode but it is the last episode of the year that has long since passed. And it will be a good one, if Break can come up with something before time runs out. In the meantime, the Grinders talk about their favorite games of the year. Games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stole many hours of Frank's life, and he has no regrets. Break surprised no one by choosing an RTS. And of course, Eric played a ton of JRPGs but only the best made his year-end list. With that, it's time to go back to the future! (Don't sue me!) The Grinders no not what the future will bring but they know they will keep showing up every month to game, complain, argue, laugh, and have a good time. Even if 2025 is a shit sandwich of never-ending stupidity, the Grinders will be back every month and just as crazy as ever!                     Tits! Tits! Tits! Tits! Tits! Tits! Tits! This is a follow up to the previous episode about Caitlin Clarks' comments after winning TIME magazine Athlete of the Year. She acknowledged she had white privilege and it didn't go over too well. Some agree with her, some don't, some thought it wasn't the time or place to bring it up, but pretty much everyone had an opinion about it. In this episode I bring on two more of my buddies and we continue the conversation about white privilege. A.J. Rice wrote the #1 Amazon Bestseller, “The Woking Dead: How Society's Vogue Virus Destroys Our Culture.”  He joins Michele to discuss his follow-up, “The White Privilege Album: Bringing Racial Harmony to Very Fine People On Both Sides.”  As those titles indicate, he doesn't take himself too seriously, and he has fun making fun of the insanity stemming from wokism.   Even Aaron Judge, Michael Jordan, and Nick Foles make their way into the conversation. https://x.com/publiuspr https://publiuspr.com/  https://www.amazon.com/Woking-Dead-Societys-Destroys-Culture/dp/1637583680 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Pete on Tik Tok Pete on YouTube Pete on Twitter Pete On Instagram Pete Personal FB page Stand Up with Pete FB page All things Jon Carroll Follow and Support Pete Coe Buy Ava's Art
