Our level of effort for this podcast is representative of the level of effort put into the writing and creation of this show. This week you get a two for one, recapping "Skidmark" and "The End of Everything" in a single podcast. Why a double episode, you ask? Because neither episode motivated us enough to record a single episode for either. "Skidmark" is supposed to be this season's ode to Daniel Salazar, but it's chock full of unfounded and unearned character motives inconsistent with the past 4 seasons. "The End of Everything" is an hour of ho-hum storytelling, which basically leaves us in the same place we started the episode. The struggle bus is real, folks. This season we're doing something a little different - we've be participating in a weekly panel style discussion with other Fear The Walking Dead experts on the Good Talk app. You can know when we're living by texting 'FTWD' to 22415. We don't know, friends. We are slowly losing faith in this show -- and we didn't have much faith in it to begin with. We are searching harder for an A-plot than our group is searching for a missing Althea. The new, more interesting story lines are being abandoned for weeks to focus on characters who have been stuck in the same arcs for two seasons now. The introduction of Dwight was supposed to be exciting, but it felt shoehorned into the series and was introduced in a rather unbelievable way. We're still holding out for better days - hopefully we will find our way out of this moonless midnight. This season we're doing something a little different - we've be participating in a weekly panel style discussion with other Fear The Walking Dead experts on the Good Talk app. You can know when we're living by texting 'FTWD' to 22415. Daniel Salazar is back and we feel like we should be way more excited by this episode than we actually are. Conceptually, the idea of radioactive walkers sounds exciting, but the execution is so poor that we're left feeling quite a bit underwhelmed. Couple that with the fact that there is literally no 'A-plot' this season, and our characters seems to be stuck in the same narrative loops for going on two seasons, and you have a recipe for disaster on your hands. Fingers crossed that next week picks things up a bit, but we're not feeling hopeful. The Season 5 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead is here and the jury is still out regarding the direction of this season. We're willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt for now, but after the back half of Season 4, our patience is thin. Some of the story lines in S5 look interesting, but they're also fueled by some strange character decisions. Is the show trying to make us hate some of these characters or is it just bad writing? We'll find out! This season we're doing something a little different - we've be participating in a weekly panel style discussion with other Fear The Walking Dead experts on the Good Talk app. You can know when we're living by texting 'FTWD' to 22415. We don't think we've ever seen a bigger fall from grace than Season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead. After a very promising Season 3, Season 4 continued to degrade episode after episode directly following the death of Madison. Where did the show that we know and love go? Why has the story been degraded to an even worse version of The Walking Dead? We'll light some prayer candles during the off-season and hope the show bounces back next season. Much like the rest of this half season, the penultimate episode of S4 of Fear The Walking Dead fell a little flat. Flatter than Jim should be after throwing himself off a 12-story building. Ian Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss promised us new Morgan story lines this season, but dare we say, it appears Morgan is circling back to "I lose people, I lose myself." Not like it was impossible to see coming, seeing as these words are literally the episode titles. Is it impossible to create a new story line for this character? At this point, it'd be better if they just killed Morgan off completely. How can we watch the same story line for 5 years straight? Welp, that's what the show runners want us to do, and that's what we'll continue to do. Join us next week for what we're sure will be an exciting, never-been-done-before episode of Fear The Walking Dead. /s We want to know what you thought of the most recent episode of Fear The Walking Dead. This week we discuss Episode 414 of Fear The Walking Dead entitled "MM 54." We can no longer cut this show slack. We honestly don't understand what's going on and why the show we previously loved has turned into complete hot garbage. We rant. This week we discuss Episode 413 of Fear The Walking Dead entitled "Blackjack." Strand and John are stuck on an island, Luciana is on a mission to absolve her sins, and Morgan is being Morgan. What does the Filthy Woman have in store for our characters? Well, things aren't looking too good. We want to know what you thought of the most recent episode of Fear The Walking Dead. After Jenna Elfman's strong showing as Laura/Naomi/June in the first half of Season 4, we were pretty stoked for a June-focused episode this week. Unfortunately, the episode title (Weak) seems to be a slight indication of what to expect from the writing. The episode centers around June and Al as they're stranded post-hurricane and forced to abandon ship in search of other survivors. Things go awry when Al's truck is stolen... the same truck that was just out of gas... and the same truck that Al apparently left the keys in even though she claims it contains her "life's work." In between the chase scenes we get a few characters monologuing into walkie-talkies, not enough new information about the "filthy woman," and a whole lot of sit and wait. Le sigh -- maybe next week things will pick up. We want to know what you thought of the most recent episode of Fear The Walking Dead. Get your feedback into the show by emailing fear@fandomfound.com. This week we're treated to a Morgan-centric episode showcasing his journey as he escapes from the hurricane (thank god for those sedative-laced protein bars, otherwise we might not have an episode). Fortunately for viewers, we're introduced to four new characters who help shield us from the same Morgan mumbo jumbo we've been watching for multiple seasons now. Right when we think Morgan is going to make an interesting shift that could permanently alter the future of his character, he shifts back to plain ole Morgan by the end of the episode. A bit of a frustrating journey, but the new characters bring an enjoyable element to the episode and we're excited to see more of them. We also chat about this awkward Jenna Elfman interview from San Diego Comic Con. The awkward starts at 7:20. We want to know what you thought of the most recent episode of Fear The Walking Dead. This week we were treated to what was being dubbed the "This Land is Your Land" Alicia-focused episode of Season 4. Does "Close Your Eyes" live up to the hype? We'd say so. If you completely ignore some of the nit picky production issues, this boils down to a pretty stellar standalone episode. As if we were able to manifest our desires from last week's podcast into existence, we finally got some of the Alicia dialogue we've been waiting for. The word of the day is "acknowledgement," as we deep dive into Alicia's psyche since the death of her mother and brother. And we've got to say, these deep moments were portrayed damn near flawlessly by Alycia Debnam Carey. If you had any doubts she could lead the series, this episode proves she certainly can. Too bad this is Morgan's show now. We want to know what you thought of the most recent episode of Fear The Walking Dead. Get your feedback into the show by emailing fear@fandomfound.com. The midseason premiere of Fear The Walking Dead feels more like a Tropical Storm than the Category 1 Hurricane we were promised. The episode isn't bad, per say. It's not overwhelmingly exciting either. It kind of.... just is. Showrunner Ian Goldberg described it best on The Talking Dead when he said that many of our characters find themselves "rudderless." And you can definitely feel it. Many of our characters are adrift, floating aimlessly until something more exciting comes along to propel their stories forward. We're just hoping this storm churns up some drama sooner rather than later, otherwise we might just let ourselves be lost at sea. We want to know what you think of the midseason premiere. This week on Fear The Walking Dead we revisit Madison and her family since the dam explosion in Season 3. There seems to be a pretty strong outcry from the fan community regarding this time jump, and a general disappointment in the plotting of this season already. Most of the resentment seems to be geared towards Scott Gimple and his involvement with the show. However, Jon and I aren't necessarily feeling the hate quite yet. The show has us intrigued enough to keep us invested, even when we are seeing small bits of The Walking Dead's primary problems bleeding into Fear. We're just hoping and praying that Fear keeps it together. Please enjoy this episode of the Fear The Walking Dead Podcast by Fandom Found! Fear The Walking Dead premiered this week with a new cast of characters that have us intrigued. While Morgan (one of the more annoying characters) from The Walking Dead has joined the cast, we were pleasantly surprised by his presence on this show. Lots of questions remain, however. We're back - and I've got to say, other than a few minor issues, cough Morgan cough, we are pretty damn excited for Season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead. After a rather stellar showing last season, can Fear continue to outperform its own mothership show? We'll just have to wait and see. But this week, Jon and I discuss the Season 4 trailer of Fear The Walking Dead and discuss some of the most burning questions around this season. How will Morgan play a role on the show? Are we getting a massive time jump in this universe? Where the heck is Ruben Blades? We talk about all this and more on this episode of the Fear The Walking Dead Podcast by Fandom Found. Two for the price of one during this week's Fear The Walking Dead podcast recap -- and how appropriate since Jon and Sebastian are both impressed by the surprising jump in quality over the last two weeks. Is a lack of Madison actually making the show more enjoyable? Or maybe it's the absence of Strand or Daniel? Do we actually care more about Nick and Alicia than we initially thought?
