Steve Chindgren joins me for the last episode of his 3-part series of Game Hawker Edition. We begin the episode with a brief discussion of what each passing season means to Steve who is now in his 70s and still hawking hard. We then talk about the attributes of a good falconer as passed down to Steve from his mentor. Steve tells us why he switched from flying in the mornings to flying in the evenings, and we talk about the tradeoffs between managing for hunting weight versus hunting time. We then talk about Gerald Richards and the Utah Sky Trials. Steve then outlines his plans for next season, and gives us his opinion on the quality of North American falconry today in comparison to what it was half a century ago. Steve then describes his most memorable day of hawking for the 2024/25 season. I hope you enjoy this episode. Thanks for listening.
"We don't give enough kudos to fundraisers"To reduce our FOMO from missing the Scottish Fundraising Conference this year we talked to the host of the Awards Ceremony for his thoughts on the sessions, his love of conferences and how he manages not to cry when presenting the oscars. Kenneth talks us through his travel itinerary, James dresses for the occassion and we hear about the pre-recording hype for our guest and his previous appearance from the bar in Glasgow last year. We delve into Gerald's career, thank Gloria for setting him on the path and discuss his move to Scotland from the United States including what he misses from home. Then we have tips for new attendees, a sneak preview of Gerald's session, prepare to meet the CEO of Revlon and get a sneak peak of his outfit for the big night next week. ---You can find us on www.domoregood.uk or follow us on Twitter and Instagram. Get in touch if you'd like to feature or star on the show. It goes without saying really but the episodes contains our opinions - essentially things we overheard in meetings, stole from presentations and read in magazines. Thanks for listening.

In 1976 law enforcement in Michigan uncovered a pedophile ring operating on North Fox Island, a privately owned property in Lake Michigan. Operating under the name “Brother Paul’s Children’s Mission” activities on North Fox Island allowed wealthy men like Dyer Grossman, Francis D. Shelden and their accomplice, Gerald Richards access to underprivileged kids who were sent to the island for a “camp experience”. This episode also uncovers a similar operation in Tennessee run by “Father Bud” and discusses the efforts of “Adam Aristotle Starchild” to assist men like Shelden in fleeing the country, and charges of sexual assault against young boys, while protecting their financial assets.
