Have you ever felt like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? You're showing up for your family, your business, your team, and your community—but deep down, you're running on empty. Maybe you're exhausted. Maybe you're burned out. Maybe you're questioning how much longer you can keep going. My friends, if that's you today, I want you to know something: you're not alone. In this episode, I'm sharing some of the biggest lessons I've learned from walking through one of the hardest seasons of my own life. A season that tested me physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. A season that ultimately strengthened my faith and taught me what true mental toughness is really all about. Because mental toughness isn't about pretending you're okay. It's not about grinding harder or carrying every burden by yourself. It's about staying faithful when life gets hard. Replenishing your body, mind, and spirit when you're running on empty. And it's about trusting that God is preparing you for something greater—even when you can't see it yet. Here's what we'll dive into on this week's IMPACT SHOW podcast: Why strong people burn out too The hidden cost of carrying too much for too long What mental toughness really means when you're in the middle of a storm How faith fuels resilience when motivation disappears Why prayer, scripture, worship, and community matter more than ever during difficult seasons The importance of replenishing your energy, your spirit, and your soul Why you can't pour from an empty cup How to perform a personal life-energy audit The connection between recovery and high performance Why your greatest impact may come after your hardest season A simple 7-Day Recharge Challenge to help you get your mind, body, and spirit back on track A powerful closing prayer to remind us that it's our Faith that feeds your mental toughness One of the questions I ask throughout this episode is this: What burden are you carrying today that was never meant for you to carry alone? Think about that. Because so many of us are trying to be everything for everyone. We're trying to hold it all together. We're trying to fight battles with our own strength. And sometimes the strongest thing we can do is surrender. Sometimes the breakthrough isn't found in doing more. Sometimes it's found in reconnecting to the Source of our strength. My hope is that this episode fills your cup. That it restores some hope. That it reminds you that whatever storm you're facing today is only a season. And that your setback can become your setup. Your pain can become your purpose. And your struggle can become your greatest testimony. Keep the faith. Keep serving. Keep showing up. And remember...the best is yet to come. If this episode encourages you, please share it with someone who may be walking through a storm right now. And if you have a prayer request, a question, or an idea for a future episode, text me directly at 619-304-2216. We have monthly chapel services open to ALL and I will text you through this above number. Every year, a small team of public servants and local stakeholders makes the long trip from Grapevine, Texas, to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the World's Largest Commercial Real Estate Meeting. Their goal? To recruit more developers, brands, and partners who can further elevate our economy. This year, we're taking you along for the ride (and a special Awards Ceremony).
The Bros sit down with new Pro Class 1 Team Outta Pocket/XINSURANCE South, with owner/rookie driver Kevin Birrell and his veteran thorttleman, Billy Moore. This episode was recorded LIVE in Cocoa Beach just after the conclusion of the Awards Ceremony, where an event record number of 89 boats faced some of the most extreme conditions in recent memory at the IHRA's Thunder on Cocoa Beach 2026, presented by Monster Energy. Broken equipment and a few broken spirits filled the race pits and the end of the event. But for some, like Kevin and Billy, they had a BLAST in the turbulent seas of Cocoa Beach. Listen as the guys discuss their experience in the "sporty" conditions and discuss the unfortunate disqualification that erased what looked to be a Saturday victory and the new duo's first checkered flag. This episode is brought to you by Monster Energy. Myrick Coil is the driver for the National Champion Monster Energy / M CON Pro Class 1 team, Speedboat Magazine Test Team Driver, lead shop foreman at Performance Boat Center and a dedicated family man and father of 5. Ray Lee is the publisher of the national/international publication Speedboat Magazine, where nine high quality issues are printed each year with global distribution, and popular social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. With all of the "Bros" experience, knowledge, and friends and colleagues in the industry and sport, this podcast is sure to entertain, enthuse and educate the powerboating community.

Originally uploaded April 14, reloaded May 6, 2026. MBN was on the road to cover PitchMI's Finals competition on Tuesday, April 7. The MSU Research Foundation hosted the event at Grewal Hall in Lansing from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PitchMI brought together four founders from Michigan-built startups spanning healthcare, AI, navigation technology, and sustainable tech. These finalists were selected last autumn and were competing for a $1 million investment. More than 300 Michigan-based startups applied. Now, just four finalists remained. This interview was one of four right before they took the stage, each pitching with the goal of the Million. This year's finalists included: Lindsay Joseph, co-founder and CEO of BedConnect, Ann Arbor Max Albert, CEO of Adrenaline Interactive, Ann Arbor Parker Boundy, co-founder and CEO of General Orbit, Ann Arbor Josef Hjelmaker, founder and CEO of Electric Outdoors, Detroit What can happen in seven minutes? On Tuesday, April 7, four Michigan startups stepped on stage in Lansing and pitched for a $1 million investment. Hosted by the MSU Research Foundation, PitchMI is one of the nation's largest founder-focused startup competitions, with more than 400 attendees. » Visit MBN website: www.michiganbusinessnetwork.com/ » Watch MBN's YouTube: www.youtube.com/@MichiganbusinessnetworkMBN » Like MBN: www.facebook.com/mibiznetwork » Follow MBN: twitter.com/MIBizNetwork/ » MBN Instagram: www.instagram.com/mibiznetwork/ Michigan Startup wins $1 Million Investment at Second Statewide PitchMI Competition Adrenaline Interactive of Ann Arbor, a startup specializing in dynamic in-game advertising, was named the winner of the 2026 competition, which saw 375 applicants from around the state. LANSING, Mich. – Governor Gretchen Whitmer joined the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Michigan State University (MSU) Research Foundation to announce Adrenaline Interactive as the grand prize winner of the 2026 PitchMI Championship. Following a high-stakes "Shark Tank" style competition at Grewal Hall in Lansing, the company was awarded a $1 million investment, bringing its total PitchMI winnings to $1.375 million. “Winning feels surreal. To be honest, I still don't really believe that I won, because the other companies were just so phenomenal,” said CEO and founder of Adrenaline Interactive, Max Albert. “There were four great companies up there, and I feel so lucky to share the stage with all of them. In terms of the future, this check is so meaningful to help us bring back advertising dollars to the state of Michigan.” PitchMI (pronounced “Pitch-Me”) is one of the nation's largest founder-focused startup competitions, designed to identify and invest in Michigan's most promising startups. The PitchMI Championship served as the culmination of a statewide search for Michigan's most innovative startups, highlighting the state's commitment to fostering a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem and supporting founders who want to make a career or business in Michigan. “Michigan is a place where big ideas come to life, and today's PitchMI Championship is yet another example of how Michigan is creating the jobs of the future,” said Governor Gretchen Whitmer. “Congratulations to Adrenaline Interactive and all of the competing companies. By investing in our homegrown entrepreneurs, we are creating high-tech jobs and ensuring Michigan remains the best place in the world to innovate, grow a business, and dream big.” The road to the championship began in the fall of 2025 with four regional pitch events across the state, which saw 375 applications from founders in more than 100 Michigan communities. These regional competitions focused on key growth sectors.
