He has been practicing medicine for 40 years and has had as a career goal that of bringing the spirituality of the person into mainstream medicine. He specifies this is not a religious experience per se, but a realization we are more than body. He has dedicated his career to studying this phenomenon. For Dr. King the mind is the mental, emotion and psychological experience of the person. The spirit is the attitude or perspective with which one goes through life. He says, moving the joints, muscles and tendons is easy, the challenge for the osteopath is figuring out how to keep it there.
