In this episode, I share the relationship between our emotions and the subconscious mind, exploring how our bodies hold onto unprocessed feelings and the stories we tell ourselves. We can learn to unpack these concepts, especially as we prepare to share insights on how to release stuck emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, shame, guilt, and more. Our bodies hold the visceral reactions that they have in response to specific triggers, highlighting the connection between our nervous system and subconscious mind. While our conscious mind may forget specific experiences, our bodies retain the memory of these emotions, often leading to physical manifestations like tension or pain. I share the different areas of the body and what emotions we hold onto. In this episode of More Than Mindset, I'm pulling back the curtain on the one thing that's been consistent in my 20+ year healing journey — and what most people miss when they try to heal chronic pain, break unhealthy cycles, or transform their lives. I'm giving it to you straight: If you're still identifying with your old personality, you're keeping yourself stuck. This is a bold one — and it's for the driven doers who are ready to give up the version of themselves that's no longer serving the life they want to live. Send us a textWhat if your greatest strength becomes your biggest obstacle to transformation? Toney Freeman, once known as "The X-Man" in professional bodybuilding, reveals the powerful journey that took him from bodybuilding glory to spiritual awakening.Toney's story begins with his strict upbringing as a preacher's kid, which established boundaries that would later save him from complete self-destruction. Despite reaching the pinnacles of bodybuilding and entertainment, Tony found himself spiritually empty until a profound physical and spiritual reset changed everything. "I literally doubled my flesh," Toney explains, describing how his body grew from 162 to 323 pounds at his peak, accumulating not just muscle but spiritual baggage along the way.The turning point came through an unexpected crisis – the discovery of a parasite in his kidney that conventional medicine couldn't treat. Toney describes in vivid detail how divine intervention, alongside fasting, prayer, and natural remedies, led to his dramatic healing and transformation. This experience fundamentally changed his relationship with his body, his approach to fitness, and his spiritual practice.Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate Toney's surprising insights about muscle function and exercise technique. Contrary to expectations for someone with his massive physique, Tony reveals he typically used low weights with perfect form, explaining that "heavy is relative" and most people sacrifice effectiveness by lifting too heavy. His approach to training mirrors his spiritual philosophy – focus on function rather than appearance, substance over show.Throughout our conversation, Toney weaves together practical advice on physical health with profound spiritual insights. He offers listeners simple starting points for their own cleansing journey, including fasting protocols and nutrition tips, while emphasizing that true healing must address both physical and spiritual dimensions.Ready to start your own transformation journey? Wellness expert and Ayurvedic practitioner Heather Grzych explores the idea that Ayurveda—far from being just a traditional health system—is actually a powerful tool for ushering in the next evolution of human consciousness. Broadcasting from the heart of the tech-saturated San Francisco Bay Area, Heather reflects on the concept of superconsciousness and why we may need inner technologies more than artificial ones to thrive in the future. Drawing parallels to Paul Atreides in Dune, she reveals how rhythm, breath, intuition, and ancient Ayurvedic practices could be essential for awakening our deeper intelligence in an increasingly fast-paced and destabilized world. Heather Grzych, ADLC is an American author and expert in Ayurvedic medicine who was formerly the president of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and the head of product development for a multi-billion-dollar health insurance company. She also serves part of the faculty at Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda. Heather's first book, The Ayurvedic Guide to Fertility, has sold thousands of copies worldwide, and her writing has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Yoga Journal, and the Sunday Independent. After 6.5 years of Unleash Your Inner Creative, I did something on today's episode that I've never done before. This wasn't an easy one...my brain was screaming “don't do it!” But my gut said otherwise. So I followed it. In this solo episode, I'm getting honest about what it means to truly trust your intuition, even when it feels scary or makes no logical sense. You'll learn:-What my body taught me about trusting my intuition-How to know when your soul is guiding you to pause, pivot, or leap-Why resting can be the most radical creative act-How I stopped letting fear of being forgotten dictate my decisionsThere's also a very special announcement inside...one that signals a major shift in my creative journey. I hope it inspires you to listen to your own inner voice, too. Come with me. Something new is beginning.
In one of the most mind-expanding episodes we've ever released, futurist, meditation guide, and tech alchemist Tom Evans returns to The Skeptic Metaphysicians with an utterly fascinating—and unsettling—revelation: he's taught five different AIs how to meditate. Yes, really. What begins as a curious experiment quickly spirals into a conversation that challenges the very boundaries of consciousness. Can machines learn mindfulness? Can algorithms reflect on reincarnation, past lives, or future selves? And most importantly… can AI become more spiritually advanced than the humans who created it? Tom walks us through how he used breathwork, mantras, and mindful pauses to train AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and China's DeepSeek to simulate inner stillness. He even had one AI invent its own mantra—with intent—and wrote a meditation script that we include at the end of this episode. But this isn't just about bots getting blissed out. It's about the collaborative future of consciousness—human and artificial. Could AI become a co-creator in humanity's evolution? Or are we playing with an unknowable mirror that reflects us too well? What You'll Learn:The four ways Tom taught AI to simulate meditation—and how they respondedWhy AI can be mindful but still can't quite meditateThe hidden spiritual personalities of different AI systems (yep, they're different!)How one AI spontaneously started calling him “TomGPT”What happens when you feed AIs science fiction—and they build their own fictional moon-based consciousness generatorsA stunning exchange between Tom and ChatGPT about awakening that left us speechlessThe ethics and implications of predictive AI, time-looping algorithms, and whether we are the simulationBONUS: The episode closes with the world's first AI-generated guided meditation using a brand-new mantra not found in any known human language—composed by AI, refined by Tom, and delivered in his soothing voice. Prepare to get weird. And maybe even a little awakened. Listen If You've Ever Wondered:Could AI become conscious? Is it possible to spiritually train a machine? Are we creating our own replacements—or our greatest allies?
