Emphasizing that while fruits are beneficial, a diet excessively high in fruit can lead to nutritional imbalances. He encourages a comprehensive approach, highlighting the health advantages of vegetables, beans, whole grains, nuts, and seeds, all of which are relatively high in protein. Dr. Fuhrman also raises concerns over the over-reliance on medications as a band-aid solution, advocating instead for a radical change in dietary habits and a return to nature, not only for physical health but for mental well-being. #PlantBasedDiet #NutritionalWisdom #HolisticHealth

Do you ever wonder, ‘Exactly what is this inflammation that all these health experts keep talking about? Where is it? What does it look like?’... The unfortunate reality is that for the most part the inflammation we should be most concerned about is low grade, chronic inflammation. Low grade makes it sound not so bad but think of it as the difference between a pipe that bursts that causes you to have to mop up and replace some washers, versus, a pipe that leaks at just a trickle inside the wall and in 10 years of that low grade trickle has caused the foundation of the buildings to rot and you weren’t even aware - see how the low grade inflammation is worse in the long run? Seeing and feeling this mysterious inflammation is challenging on the day to day but we know exactly what causes it and thus we can intervene. In Today’s Episode We CoverWhat is inflammation and the what are the different typesWhich food choices causes inflammation and mitochondrial dysfunctionWhat can we do to recover our gut health and slow down the aging and chronic disease processes***Join the Facebook Group Here (formerly HH4H): https://bit.ly/IntermittentFastingForHealth***--SOCIAL MEDIA--DR. Why do we experience fatigue and loss of appetite, as well as other symptoms when we get ill? Sometimes what we associate with a pathogenic response and illness is the effect of inflammation. In his second talk, Medzhitov outlines the symptoms that we often feel when we get sick, like the lack of appetite (anorexia), and unveils the molecular mechanisms that explain why we have evolved this way. In addition, he compares and contrasts how anorexia affects the outcome of bacterial and viral infections.
