Joe Solo turned a chance meeting with Macy Gray into a 17 year journey that culminated in a Grammy win, a double platinum album, and a hit MTV video. Soon afterward Joe transitioned into the world of music publishing as the head staff writer/producer for Paramount’s Famous Music Publishing division and has since had hundreds of professional collaborations and over 2,000 song placements in films, tv shows, video games, and commercials. Joe is now CEO of Joe Solo Music+Entertainment, Inc., his multi-media, record label, publishing, artist development, and record production company, and is coaching and inspiring rising music and songwriting talent worldwide through his Music Success Workshop division. During the interview we spoke about what makes a great demo, Joe’s approach to production, blending opposite song elements, his music success workshop, and much more. On the intro I’ll take a look at why Taylor Swift might not find it so easy to re-record her old songs, and how our DAW world will soon transition to 64 bit.

This Monday Accent ON!'s host ILONA EUROPA had the pleasure to ask the MAYOR OF ONTARIO, PAUL LEON, a few questions via telephone interview. Independent candidate Paul Leon and Democrat Freddie Rodriguez have their eyes on representing the 52nd Assembly District. Voters on Tuesday will be asked to choose between Leon, the Ontario mayor, and Rodriguez, a Pomona councilman, to serve the district that includes Montclair, Ontario, Chino and portions of Fontana and Pomona. Leon, once a registered Republican who switched to an independent after losing to Torres for the state Senate seat, said he believes most Americans are fed up with the two-party system. “I believe people are looking for the right candidate to serve as their representative, not the right party to represent them,” he said. “I’m about people, and not politics or party,” he also said. “I’m about getting some jobs in this state. I’m going to put California back to work again because as the only independent I will have the leverage it takes to force the two parties to work together.” We wished the Mayor of Ontario, PAUL LEON, a BIG WIN last night one night before the election. facebook.com/LeonForSenate Our next guest in studio was Joe Solo. for the past 20-years, this LA Record Producer who developed Macy Gray and many others, is one of the coolest producers around.
