Free Agency Day, Real Moves The NFL's free agency window finally turns official at 4:00. The market already feels volatile after a reported Max Crosby deal fell apart on medical review. That backdrop matters for the Detroit Lions. Big names tempt. Medicals and money complicate. The Detroit Lions Podcast zeroed in on what actually changed in Detroit today. Cap Reset: What Goff's Move Signals Jared Goff restructured his contract, converting $40 million of base salary into a signing bonus and adding another void year. The move frees up $32 million in 2026. Detroit was not pinned against the cap, but the team needed room to do anything meaningful. This creates it. The Lions did not max out their options. They could have cleared up to $40 million this year by converting almost the entire salary to bonus. They chose restraint. The contract now runs with a void through 2029, with that final year voided. Cap figures spike in 2028 and 2029, but another adjustment then is expected. The point today is flexibility. Expect measured signings at the same tier we have seen, plus the breathing room to stage extensions for Gibbs, Jack Campbell, Branch, and maybe Sam LaPorta. You need upfront space to absorb signing bonuses without creating a bigger balloon later. Detroit will not do restructures just to admire cap space. There is a purpose coming. No Crosby Splash for Detroit The Crosby situation underlines why. A reported Raiders-Ravens deal is off after Baltimore reviewed his medicals. The Cowboys are said to be out, too. Crosby is a good player. The health flags are real in this market. Given Detroit's recent injury frustrations, passing on that kind of swing makes sense. The hypothetical of sending two first-round picks and then backing out on medicals is a cautionary tale. You lose time. You lose leverage. You invite chaos. Detroit's approach reads like discipline, not hesitation. Depth Chart: Rodriguez and Bridgewater Back While driving home last night, the news hit: the Lions brought back Malcolm Rodriguez and Teddy Bridgewater. Rodriguez's return locks in the top reserve linebacker role. He drew interest from the Houston Texans and some from the Seahawks, but he stays in Detroit. Contract terms were not disclosed. The team still needs another linebacker. Coverage has been a known limitation for Rodriguez, so competition and roles will matter. Bridgewater's return stabilizes the quarterback room behind Goff. Continuity counts in March. It keeps the offense aligned while the front office works the margins on defense and special teams. As free agency formalizes this afternoon, expect the Lions to keep pressing the same smart, steady pace. Cap clarity. Targeted adds. No forced splashes. #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #jaredgoffrestructure #nflfreeagency #malcolmrodriguez #teddybridgewater #cademays #isiahpacheco #lionsdraft Learn more about your ad choices. In Mark 4, the disciples feared the storm — but no one talks about the ship. In this powerful message, Pastor Jr. Rodriguez reminds us that we are strategically designed for the mission God has given us. Though the storm may be “mega,” we serve a mega Savior. You were built to withstand the pressure. The hand of God underneath you is stronger than the pressure above you. And if Jesus said, “Let's go to the other side,” it's already a done deal. Whether you're facing pressure in your marriage, family, finances, or faith, this message will encourage you: you can't sink if His breath is in you — and you are destined to reach the other side. The storm may be real. But so is the word He spoke over your life. The best is yet to come. ____ Welcome to the LifeHouse Church Podcast. We're so glad you're here. Whether you're listening at home, on your commute, or in a quiet moment during your day, we believe God has something personal and timely for you in this message. At LifeHouse, our heart is simple: to lead people to Know God, Grow together, and Go serve and make a difference. Through practical, Gospel-centered messages, we want to help you grow in your faith, experience real transformation, and live out your purpose in everyday life. These messages speak into real-life areas like relationships, marriage, family, purpose, emotional health, and spiritual growth—wherever you are on your faith journey.

Over the past decade, Rice Business has scaled with intention.MBA enrollment has doubled. Faculty ranks have grown. New MBA formats have launched. The Virani Undergraduate School of Business was established. And a new building will open soon, designed to further fuel collaboration, research and innovation. In this conversation, Dean Peter Rodriguez reflects on the strategy behind that momentum — from championing the Online MBA to building one of the nation's strongest entrepreneurship ecosystems in the heart of Houston. He discusses AI's impact on business education, the evolving energy landscape, and the leadership lessons that come with guiding a school through rapid transformation, all while shaping the next chapter for Rice Business.Episode Guide:00:00 Meet Dean Peter Rodriguez01:20 Online MBA Origins and Vision for Growth07:50 Virtual Campus Advantage09:41 From Space Crunch to Expansion: Designing the New Building16:29 Launching the Virani Undergraduate School of Business21:51 AI and Business Education28:46 Dean Life and Daily Headwinds29:23 Why Rice Ranks High & Houston's Entrepreneurship Advantage36:32 What Deans Learn on the Job43:37 Next 50 Years Vision48:25 ClosingThe Owl Have You Know Podcast is a production of Rice Business and is produced by University FM.Episode Quotes:On Rice MBA's Growth over the decade01:37: If there was one overarching theme of the last decade, I think growth is it. The question is always like, well, why growth? Or growth for what? And of course, clearly want growth for the good outcomes, and that good outcomes all start with pursuing the mission. We have a mission to create and disseminate knowledge at the vanguard of business and the business disciplines. And so that is what we really do. And when I was really looking at the job almost exactly 10 years ago and thinking about where Rice was and where it needed to be, one of the first conclusions that was easy to draw was that it needed to be about twice as big as it was, at least, you know, and, and it is not that growth is all good, but why would I say that? And the thinking was, you know, in order to advance that mission, we needed more tenure track faculty. And there the foundation on which more or less everything else proceeds. How does the Rice Business navigate AI? 22:19: On the basic part of our mission, which is delivering an education, we have to do two things. We have to prepare people to think really critically and to be able to assess them as individuals without this incredible, unprecedented tool. That is to say, what can Peter do of his own accord? What does he know? And then I have to train him very aggressively to make sure that with the tool, he is also highly capable, far more capable to do some things, and as capable as anybody in any university in the country is using the tool. So there's sort of almost sounds like martial arts mastery. You know, you have to sort of, wax on, wax off, you know, learn these sort of things that are apart from the tool, and then you are sort of empowered. That's where we are, is trying to do that.Houston loves risk takers30:59: Houston loves risk takers. It is part of the environment, it is part of a Texas thing too, but, you know, it is going to space, drilling out in the Permian Basin or deep in the ocean, putting in an artificial heart, whatever it is. I think there is a real admiration for trying hard things and picking yourself up if you fail and not being discouraged because things did not go right the first time.Show Links: Rice Business New Building PlansTranscriptGuest Profile:Peter Rodriguez | Rice BusinessLinkedIn

Episode 171 centers on Elimination Chamber fallout and the way one night in Chicago shifted the structure of WrestleMania 42. Randy Orton outlasted Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Trick Williams, LA Knight, and Je'Von Evans to secure a WWE Championship match on the biggest stage, but the path there was defined by interference rather than endurance. Logan Paul eliminated three competitors before Seth Rollins returned through an open Chamber door and attacked him, immediately destabilizing the match. That same opening allowed Drew McIntyre to enter and strike Rhodes with the WWE Championship. Orton dropped McIntyre with an RKO, Rhodes answered with Cross Rhodes, and as Rhodes stood, Orton delivered a second RKO to win. In the aftermath, Nick Aldis announced McIntyre will defend the WWE Championship against Rhodes on SmackDown, leaving Orton locked in for WrestleMania while Rhodes remains in pursuit and Rollins reenters the equation. The women's Chamber provided clearer direction. Rhea Ripley defeated Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Kiana James, and Alexa Bliss to earn her WrestleMania match against Jade Cargill. Rodriguez created chaos with a double elimination, Asuka misted Bliss before being eliminated, and Ripley closed with the Riptide to formalize a high level collision at WrestleMania. AJ Lee added another headline by submitting Becky Lynch to win the Women's Intercontinental Championship, her first singles title victory in over a decade, while CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Bálor after surviving sustained rib targeting and finishing with the GTS in his hometown. The long teased mystery crate revealed Danhausen, drawing a mixed reaction and existing more as spectacle than structural shift on the road to WrestleMania. Outside the Chamber, AJ Styles formally confirmed his in ring retirement. He will remain with WWE in a non wrestling capacity and enter the 2026 Hall of Fame, closing the door on speculation about a final run elsewhere. We also examine the newly announced Android Inoki project targeting 2027, which begins with an AI model trained on Antonio Inoki's speech patterns and philosophy before integration into a humanoid form. Positioned as legacy preservation, it raises broader questions about likeness rights, commercialization, and how wrestling history will intersect with artificial intelligence moving forward. From a business standpoint, TKO disclosed that WWE generated 1.709 billion dollars in revenue for 2025. The 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh produced 55 million dollars, and WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia is projected to exceed 100 million. WrestleMania 42 will follow a hybrid distribution model, beginning on ESPN and ESPN2 before shifting to ESPN Unlimited domestically and Netflix internationally, reflecting WWE's continued evolution in broadcast and streaming strategy. Across weekly programming, championships changed hands on SmackDown and NXT, Bronson Reed suffered a distal biceps tear that forces creative adjustments, and AEW builds toward Revolution under schedule compression with MJF set to defend the AEW World Championship against Hangman Page in a Texas Death Match with permanent stakes language attached. Internationally, NJPW crowned new STRONG and Television champions, CMLL delivered a high stakes hair match at Arena México, and Mauro Ranallo joins commentary for Global Wars Canada. Episode 171 connects creative fallout, retirement finality, AI experimentation, revenue transparency, and shifting broadcast strategy as WrestleMania season accelerates. Listen now.
The food, agriculture and planetary systems, for that matter, are all in serious need of change. No news there. But how? Individual investments and grants, however large, will never be big enough to move these systems. What we need is a serious, deep analysis of the food and agriculture space within a certain context: hundreds of hours of interviews with many stakeholders to map the players, the positive and negative feedback loops, and the intervention points with huge leverage (or not), trying to make sense of the messiness of a system. No, a map is never the territory, but it's better than no map. Then what? How do we go from mapping to action? It is key to build dedicated funding vehicles for-profit, low-return, no-return, philanthropy, the whole capital spectrum concentrated on the highest leverage points in a system. And then, and only then, we might have a chance to move something.CO_ is one of the most interesting regen investment vehicles we have come across, combining deep systems research with long-term, on-the-ground work, weaving until you have a common vision, and then deploying serious capital to make it work.More about this episode.==========================In Investing in Regenerative Agriculture and Food podcast show we talk to the pioneers in the regenerative food and agriculture space to learn more on how to put our money to work to regenerate soil, people, local communities and ecosystems while making an appropriate and fair return. The custom fit of bespoke clothing with the efficiency and scale of factory production: this is the sweet spot that so many fashion businesses are aiming for. However, finding this sweet spot can be as difficult as finding a pair of jeans that fits just right. Daniela Rodriguez and Andre Ramirez-Cedeno of Neems Jeans have found both. Traditional manufacturing is still evolving and the technology is still emerging. In episode 132, we look at what is working and what still needs work when it comes to custom clothing production. Daniela Rodriguez-Firmani and Andre Ramirez-Cedeno are the co-founders of Neems Jeans, a fashion-tech company using AI body-scanning technology to create custom-fit jeans for every body. Both Miami natives and Northwestern graduates, Dani and Andre worked as management consultants before their personal frustrations changed everything: they could never find jeans that fit perfectly. In 2020, they launched Neems together - armed with zero fashion experience but fierce determination to solve a problem millions face every time they shop for denim. Together, they've scaled Neems into a rapidly growing seven-figure brand serving thousands of customers internationally, challenging the myth of standard sizing while proving that innovation and sustainability can coexist. Their mission: make clothing that fits people, not the other way around. This episode explores: Fitting the customer Why Neems isn't constrained to fitting one customer niche The biggest customer segments for Neems and what that says about the fit of off-the-rack options How Daniela and Andre overcome skepticism from customers Fitting the lifestyle The point-of-no-return investment that Daniela and Andre made How Neems production has evolved through different stages of the business' life How Daniela and Andre arrived at the price point for their custom jeans Fitting the values The vision and values that keeps them going even when things are hard The different reasons why customers buy Neems People and resources mentioned in this episode: Neems Jeans website Neems Jeans Instagram Choozr body scanning/measuring technology Tukatech pattern software and machinery Do you want fashion business tips and resources like this sent straight to your inbox? On the 3rd of January this year, Venezuela's President, Nicolas Maduro, was removed from office by a US military intervention. He was flown to the United States to face charges of drug trafficking and partnering with terrorist groups, charges he denies. His leadership and that of his predecessor and mentor Hugo Chavez saw Venezuela move from being an oil rich, prosperous country to a country which was heavily sanctioned and under investigation by the International Criminal Court. Maduro's Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, has now succeeded him as acting president. Some Venezuelans feel that she represents only continuity with Chavismo, the political system Hugo Chavez created. Others feel that Rodriguez will be forced to adapt in order to survive. Jorge Perez and Alicia Hernandez of BBC Mundo have been following what is happening in Venezuela closely.Snow leopards are beautiful, yet elusive creatures. They like to live high up in snowy mountains, including certain areas in the Indian Himalayas. A group of women in one of India's coldest and most remote regions have joined the efforts to conduct a snow leopard census, using camera traps to count the big cats and protect them and their habitat. Ashay Yedge of BBC Marathi recently traveled to the world's second-highest village to speak to them about their work. This episode of The Documentary comes to you from The Fifth Floor, the show at the heart of global storytelling, with BBC journalists from all around the world. Jonathan Rodriguez arrived at Campbell from Puerto Rico, by way of Miami, in the fall of 2006 and by the time he graduated four years later was the first player in Fighting Camel history to score 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds in a career. A first-team all-state performer and state champion at Calusa Prep in Miami – "J-Rod" took a chance on a Campbell program that was in a building phase – literally and figuratively. After playing on the Miami Tropics AAU team that sent six players to the Division I ranks, Rodriguez moved to Buies Creek and tiny Carter Gym – capacity 947 – to be a key figure in Coach Robbie Laing's fast-paced attack. He played his first two years in tiny Carter Gym then his last two in Gore Arena as he helped a team go from a winless league record two years before his arrival to a conference regular season title in his senior year. J-Rod was a Mid-Major Freshman All-American and four-time All-Conference performer who at the time of his graduation was one of only 101 players in Division I history to reach the 2000-point, 1000-rebound mark. From there, he embarked on a professional career that has taken him all over the globe and earned a place on the Puerto Rican National team. It's no surprise that J-Rod was inducted this year into the Campbell Athletics Hall of Fame. In the next episode of Tales from the Creek, Jonathan Rodriguez chats with Stan Cole about moving to the States as a high school student, his path to Campbell, his professional career, and more. Suggestions for future Tales from the Creek interview subjects are always welcome and may be sent to Stan Cole at cole@campbell.edu.
https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/70332973/download.mp3 The first day of workouts at the NFL combine in Indianapolis yielded some impressive on-field results to go along with a “controversy” involving Jets head coach Aaron Glenn. On hand to observe this year’s prospects, Glenn was caught by NFL network cameras in the booth with Glenn appearing to be “asleep” for five seconds before popping his head up and fans did not react well. Outraged Jets supporters called it embarrassing, a joke, and a fireable offense. Upon further review however, it did appear Aaron Glenn may have been looking down at a phone or tablet in front of him. And even if he did nod off for a second, go ahead and watch his comments at the podium from the previous day. You could hear in Glenn’s voice that he was either coming down with or getting over an illness of some kind. If that meant he didn’t watch somebody run 40 yards in a straight line in their pajamas, so be it. There are far more important things to worry about in Indy. As far as the players who did pop on the first day of workouts, Ohio State won the day as linebacker Sonny Styles stole the show while projected top five pick Arvell Reese wasn’t far behind. Styles checked in at 4.46 in the 40 while jumping out of the building with a 43.5” vertical, a 11′ 2” broad jump and a 1.56 10-yard split. Combining his film with his workouts mean any notion of Styles falling to the Jets at sixteen is not happening. Meanwhile, Reese, who many project to the Jets with pick number two, ran a blazing 4.46 40 at 241 pounds Some other noteworthy performers in Indy: Player Pos Ht/Wt School 40 10 yd split Vert Broad 3-Cone 20yd Shuttle Bench Bailey, David Edge 6′ 4” 251 Texas Tech 4.5 1.62 35” 10′ 9” – – – Hill Jr, Anthony LB 6′ 2” 238 Texas 4.51 1.58 37” 10′ 5” – – 21 Lawrence, Malachi Edge 6′ 4” 253 UCF 4.52 1.59 40” 10′ 10” – – – Rodriguez, Jacob LB 6′ 1” 231 Texas Tech 4.57 1.6 38.5” 10′ 1” 6.9 4.29 – Elams-Orr, Kaleb LB 6′ 2” 234 TCU 4.47 1.59 40” 10′ 4” – 4.41 – Dennis-Sutton, Dani DT 6′ 6” 256 Penn State 4.67 1.63 39.5” 10′ 11” 6.9 – – Capehart, Damonte DT 6′ 5” 312 Clemson 4.85 1.71 33.5” 8′ 11” – – – Halton, Grace DT 6′ 3” 293 Oklahoma 4.82 1.7 36.5” 9′ 6” 8.09 4.79 – Banks, Caleb DT 6′ 6” 327 Florida 5.04 1.76 32” 9′ 6” – – – The post Aaron Glenn Napping in Indy? Two brutal attacks across the motu have returned public attention to the issue of dog maulings that stubbornly refuses to be resolved. Since 2020, we've seen a 20% increase in injuries to people from dogs, coming to nearly THIRTY THOUSAND dog-related injuries reported per year (half of which are bites), and these are the numbers collected without mandatory reporting in Aotearoa. In the wake of these dog attacks, which saw one woman in Northland lose her life and a father and son in Christchurch severely injured, many people are looking for the government to act to address this issue that frequently flies under that radar until tragedies like this strike. But how to respond, and what changes should be focused on, remain open questions. To get his opinion on how we should approach the issue, Wire Host Manny spoke with Associate Professor at Auckland Law School Marcelo Rodriguez Ferrere on the issue of animal control legislative reform.

Tyler Callihan is fully cleared and focusing on second base and left field after last season's injury. Sal Stewart is making noise this spring, working primarily at first and second base while openly chasing NL Rookie of the Year honors. Stewart has been studying first base defense and could see time at multiple infield spots as roster construction takes shape. Nick also covers updates on Edwin Arroyo, who expects more power in 2026 with his shoulder surgery behind him, and Eugenio Suárez's strong early impression in camp, including praise for Arroyo's potential. The two could face off in the World Baseball Classic. Plus: Francona's thoughts on veteran NRI Nathaniel Lowe and roster construction Pierce Johnson on bringing playoff experience to the bullpen TJ Friedl on leading off under Francona Prospect updates, including praise for Rodriguez and Cam Collier What to expect from the Reds' Spring Training opener and how to watch RedsTV Nick also previews upcoming coverage, including daily recaps after every Spring Training game, live postgame shows, and a full breakdown of how fans can watch RedsTV all season long.
