“You know what I'm hearing? This sounds like it could have been…the sidepiece…to The Black Album…” There's almost a strange, sarcastic satisfaction in knowing that the new self-titled MEGADETH album will forever be known (at least in our neck of the woods anyway) as “The White Album”. “Every time you keep talking, I just see shapes and letters…” Released on January 23, 2026, MEGADETH is the 17th studio album from Dave Mustaine and Company and represents the final chapter in the 40+ year history of the angriest, snarliest, and most progressively technical thrash band of The Big Four. And oh yeah, it debuted at NUMBER ONE on Billboard and at the top of the charts all over the world!!! While MEGADETH represents the band's epilogue, it contains all of the elements that have defined the band's sound and the ethos of the genre that they co-created with the rest of The Big Four. All of the essentials are there: insanely technical riffs, face melting guitar solos, triumphant twin guitar harmonies, as well as some more straight ahead, laid back and accessible material that screams “radio friendly” without being dull or boring. As a Nonprofit leader/advocate, you already know that information alone doesn't engage. But here's what I see as a flashing red signal. AI is transforming the information ecosystem. It's now easier than ever to get just about any information you might want or need, in fairly complex form, just by asking. The bottom line is that if decisionmakers just needed information, they would no longer particularly need us. They can get that on their own. They can just ask their favorite AI tool to go assemble that information for them. That is a huge heads-up for us. I'm aware of a lot of Nonprofit leaders and advocates who tend to rely pretty heavily on information and data as their primary vehicle for communicating with decision makers. And I am sorry to tell you that is not gonna cut it anymore. We have to be able to engage decisionmakers, one human being to another. That means developing a very robust set of engagement skills, the ability to engage people on a deeply human level. It's the one thing you can't fake. AI cannot do it. But it only works if you show up as your whole human self. And that can feel a little scary. A natural progression along the way was into record production, and he has produced (or co-produced) over 250 commercial releases, and co-written many of the songs. Indeed, he has had over 500 songs published, including songs for artists as diverse as The Spice Girls (he co-wrote their early songs), Odyssey & The Three Degrees. In recent years he has focused on building and selling a number of businesses in the music and technology space. What the U.S. Attorney is saying •The U.S. Attorney's Office for D.C. has stated they contacted the Fed “on multiple occasions” about cost overruns and Powell's congressional testimony, were ignored, and therefore resorted to formal legal process, which they stress “is not a threat.” •Jeanine Pirro has been explicit that “the word ‘indictment' has come out of Mr. Powell's mouth, no one else's,” and that “none of this would have happened if they had just responded to our outreach.” “Above the law” behaviour. •Powell now publicly insists “no one is above the law,” even as the record shows the Fed disregarded informal outreach and only engaged once grand jury subpoenas landed, which is the opposite of transparent cooperation. Recall Choke Point 2.0 and the unbanking of individuals. •By recasting a straightforward question of cost overruns and possible misstatements to Congress as an illegitimate “criminal indictment threat,” Powell is effectively demanding a special zone of immunity wrapped in the rhetoric of independence. Why central bankers are “charging the hill” •Former Fed chairs and global monetary grandees have rushed out statements condemning the probe as an attack on Fed independence, treating any prosecutorial look at a central banker as inherently out of bounds.
