Cannabis education and research with Heidi Knierim. Heidi is the Founder & Executive Director of My Compassion, a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization that provides cannabis education and research. Under Heidi’s leadership, My Compassion became the first federally recognized cannabis nonprofit founded in the state of Michigan and fourth in the country to advocate and educate for the medicinal use of cannabis. Through her supervision, My Compassion was responsible for groundbreaking accomplishments like winning the 1st Google Adwords Grant using the word “cannabis” and being accepted into the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) which federal employees are encouraged to donate.

My Compassion provides community outreach, education, and research on medical cannabis. Heidi, believes that everyone should have access to the most current and correct information when deciding on their treatment options and that no one should ever feel alone. My Compassion researches medical marijuana and identifies reputable doctors for patients. Patients who have witnessed the positive effects of cannabis on conditions such as cancer, Crohn’s disease, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, and other life-impairing conditions. Research priorities include cancer and opioid and heroin use. They focus heavily on a further conversation in the cannabis industry in regards to the responsible use of cannabis.
