We've all heard these terms in the news: The Great Reset, The New World Order, One World Government, and Agenda 2030. What do they mean in relation to global governance vs. national sovereignty, and how do they affect your life or business? The United States recently chose to end membership in the World Health Organization (WHO), and Argentina became the second country to do so, as well. Why? Reggie Littlejohn, Linda's guest in this episode, is Founder & President of Anti-Globalist International, Women's Rights Without Frontiers, and Co-Founder of the Sovereignty Coalition. Her work as a lawyer and activist has spanned the globe in defense of national sovereignty and individual rights and freedom. Their conversation provides insight into upcoming plans of the WHO and action items for every citizen who wants to protect their own privacy, freedom, and security. Time is of the essence. We're taught that hard work, overachievement, and never needing a break are the keys to success. But what if this mindset only leads to burnout, rather than to fulfillment? In today's episode of Hello Monday, Jessi Hempel and Amanda Miller Littlejohn explore the ways in which rest can be revolutionary. Amanda, an executive coach and author of The Rest Revolution, shares her personal journey from burnout to healing, and explains how we can all reclaim our health, our productivity, and our joy. A popular refrain from both the left and the right in American society is one concerning the importance of liberty for the flourishment of their respective communities. But what does true freedom look like and, perhaps more importantly, how does one come to attain it and then keep it in a world like our own. This week, I am joined by Brad Littlejohn to talk about his new book, Called to Freedom: Retrieving Christian Liberty in an Age of License. In our conversation, we discuss the journey of writing this book, the nature and meaning of liberty in all of its areas, role of obligation and virtue, the influence of modern technology on freedom, and more. Brad is the Director of Programs and Education at American Compass and president emeritus at Davenant Institute. Cross & Gavel is a production of CHRISTIAN LEGAL SOCIETY. The episode was produced by Josh Deng, with music from Vexento.
Rice Executive MBA student Shai Littlejohn is no stranger to reinvention. From law to music — and now, corporate counsel for one of the world's most recognizable brands — she has built a career on embracing challenges and following her passions. As director and corporate counsel for global supply chain & innovation at Starbucks, Shai recently spoke at Rice Business' annual Women in Leadership Conference about the evolving legal landscape in Texas. After the panel, she sat down with Owl Have You Know co-host Brian Jackson '21 to talk about her dynamic career path, the lessons she's learned across industries, why she chose to pursue an Executive MBA at Rice and how she's already applying insights from the program in her career. [16:12] Shai Littlejohn: That they have to decide what they want and just go for it. You know, it's like—if the law doesn't... You can't look for laws necessarily to help you all the time or wait for the environment or timing to be right. We have talent that we can bring to the table. We have ideas, and nothing can stop that. We just have to keep putting them out there. You're not always going to get the reception you want, but that can't stop you from trying and going for it.What Rice's Women in Leadership Conference means to a woman in business15:43: Being a woman in business is exciting, and attending this conference is truly invigorating because opportunities are all around us. No matter what's happening in the world, we as women have immense potential and endless opportunities to pursue. This group is ready to seize them, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.What's the biggest difference in working between oil and gas and coffee? 11:17: Corporate culture. Starbucks has a unique corporate culture, which I hope remains distinct because balancing culture with productivity is crucial. Many companies struggle to get that right, and striking that balance—work-life harmony alongside productivity—is very challenging.Show Links: TranscriptGuest Profiles:Shai Littlejohn's website
I have been enchanted by Disney since childhood. And as an adult, whenever I'm watching any movie or TV show, I can't help but play “Where do I know that actor from?” Thank you, IMDB for making my adult life that little bit easier. One of my first forays into content creation, way back in 2014 was a series I made called “Disney Doppelgangers” where I compare two or more famous animated Disney characters who are voiced by or modeled after the same actor. Alice and Wendy; the Queen of Hearts & Fairy Godmother; Baloo and Little John and many more! I still love this series and often recommend it to Kids who are interested in checking out my work. Full Text of ReadingsSaturday of the Second Week of Lent Lectionary: 235The Saint of the day is Saint Nicholas OwenSaint Nicholas Owen's Story Nicholas, familiarly known as “Little John,” was small in stature but big in the esteem of his fellow Jesuits. Born at Oxford, this humble artisan saved the lives of many priests and laypersons in England during the penal times (1559-1829), when a series of statutes punished Catholics for the practice of their faith. Over a period of about 20 years, Nicholas used his skills to build secret hiding places for priests throughout the country. His work, which he did completely by himself as both architect and builder, was so good that time and time again priests in hiding were undetected by raiding parties. Nicholas was a genius at finding and creating places of safety: subterranean passages, small spaces between walls, impenetrable recesses. At one point he was even able to mastermind the escape of two Jesuits from the Tower of London. Whenever Nicholas set out to design such hiding places, he began by receiving the holy Eucharist, and he would turn to God in prayer throughout the long, dangerous construction process. After many years at his unusual task, Nicholas entered the Society of Jesus and served as a lay brother, although—for very good reasons—his connection with the Jesuits was kept secret. After a number of narrow escapes, he himself was finally caught in 1594. Despite protracted torture, Nicholas refused to disclose the names of other Catholics. After being released following the payment of a ransom, “Little John” went back to his work. He was arrested again in 1606. This time he was subjected to horrible tortures, suffering an agonizing death. The jailers tried suggesting that he had confessed and committed suicide, but his heroism and sufferings soon were widely known. Nicholas Owen was canonized in 1970 as one of the 40 Martyrs of England and Wales. Reflection Nicholas was a clever builder and architect who used his skills to protect endangered priests. Without his help, hundreds of English Catholics would have been deprived of the sacraments. His gift for spotting unlikely places to hide priests was impressive, but more impressive was his habit of seeking support for his work in prayer and the Eucharist. If we follow his example, we may also discover surprising ways to put our skills to God's service. We are sisters and brothers in the spirit. Learn more! Saint of the Day, Copyright Franciscan Media

Glenn speaks with January Littlejohn, a Florida mom and one of Trump's guests at his speech, who sued her daughter's school over its alleged attempt to transition her daughter without her consent. Committee to Unleash Prosperity co-founder Stephen Moore joins to give an honest breakdown of Trump's tariffs and their impact on the economy. Learn more about your ad choices. In the 3rd hour of the Marc Cox Morning Show, a powerful conversation unfolds about the increasingly urgent issues surrounding parental rights and school policies. January Littlejohn shares her heartbreaking story of her daughter's secretive social transition without parental consent, raising critical concerns over the growing role of schools in children's gender identity. Genevieve Wood from the Heritage Foundation joins Marc Cox to discuss the emotional and political ramifications of such policies, reflecting on Littlejohn's testimony and the broader cultural implications. The discussion then shifts to local politics, with County Councilman Dennis Hancock speaking out against County Executive Sam Page's lack of transparency, the financial implications of a new county building, and the controversial Prop B vote. A call for accountability in local governance wraps up the segment. #ParentalRights #TransgenderPolicy #PropB #StLouisCounty #CountyCouncil #PoliticalAccountability #Transparency #LocalElections #PublicTrust #SamPage #ParentingInTheAgeOfWoke
On February 18, 2013, a caregiver confessed to killing a 15-month-old girl, Aubrey Littlejohn, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Despite documented reports of abuse and neglect, local social workers allowed the woman to continue taking care of the child. Social workers are charged with fabricating a cover-up in the abuse case. Join Aaron as he welcomes back Brad Littlejohn, author of "Called to Freedom: Retrieving Christian Liberty in an Age of License" and fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. In this thought-provoking conversation, they explore the true meaning of freedom from a Christian perspective and how it contrasts with modern society's understanding of liberty as unlimited choice. Brad unpacks how technology, despite promising greater freedom, often leads to new forms of enslavement, and explains why the Christian concept of freedom through service to Christ offers a more fulfilling path to genuine liberty.Note: The audio levels on this podcast are unequal. The Pugcast is pleased to welcome Brad Littlejohn back on the show to discuss his latest book, Called to Freedom. If there's one thing western culture seems to celebrate, it's freedom. But just what are we talking about when we speak of it? Does freedom mean doing anything you want, just so long as no one gets hurt? If so, is that even possible? That seems to imply freedom is either amoral or even immoral, and that can't be right. Fortunately we have rich wells to draw from in scripture and western philosophy on the matter and Brad is a faithful guide to those riches.
