Would you pet a bear if it had a hat on? I would. Well, anyway, let's talk about Epstein redaction conspiracies now.
A real look at how Democrats are targeting Christians, especially in the Biden era. Then, things go a little haywire. Have you ever listened to Little John? Not the rapper, the bear from Robin Hood.
Show Notes Join us for our second Robin Hood foray and an excellent film overall. Foxy Robin and big bear Little John do their best to stand up to the greed of small men. There are chickens who can play the guitar and perform a perfect Shiho Nage and they don't even have fingers! Running and shooting and singing and dancing, there's never a dull moment in Nottingham, the geographic embodiment of capitalism. Robin Hood by Henry Gilbert 词汇提示1.enormous 巨大的2.staff 拐杖原文Chapter Two: Robin meets Little JohnOne day, Robin came to a stream with a small bridge. When he began to cross it, he heard a loud voice say, 'I want to cross the stream first!'Robin turned around and saw an enormous young man.He was very tall.'No,I was first!' answered Robin.'Can you push me off the bridge?' asked the enormous man.He was holding a wooden staff.Robin cut a long branch from a tree and made a staff. Then he began to fight on the bridge.Robin was fast and light. But soon, the enormous man pushed Robin into the water. He was very strong. The enormous man laughed. Then he pulled Robin out of the water.Robin started to laugh too.'You are an honest fighter!' said Robin 'What is your name?''Myname is John little. I am an honest man. I fought with good King Richard's menin the Holy Land. I made King Richard's sword and the swords of his men. He isa great king, but his brother John is cruel and greedy! I don't want to serveKing John. I am looking for Robin Hood. I want to join his outlaws.''Welcome to our merry company of Outlaws! I am Robin Hood!' said Robin, smiling. 'A friend of King Richard is a friend of mine!'John little was very surprised. Then the two men embraced and became good friends.'Now that you are an outlaw, you must change your name. Your new name is Little John.'Robin took Little John to the secret hiding place in the forest. The outlaws welcomed Little John with a big meal.Little John was an expert sword maker.Soon every outlaw had a new sword. The outlaws liked Little John because he was friendly and kind.At night, everyone sat around the fire and listened to his stories. He told them about his adventures in the Holy Land.

If you've ever seen Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner… imagine that, but now imagine it directed by Mel Brooks, with every serious moment turned into a joke—and you've got Men in Tights.Released in 1993, the film follows Robin of Locksley, a nobleman who returns home from the Crusades to find his land taken by the villainous Prince John and his right-hand thug Sheriff of Rottingham. He assembles a band of misfit Merry Men—including Little John, Will Scarlet O'Hara, and Ahchoo—to take down the corrupt monarchy, win back his land, and save Maid Marian, whose chastity belt is under lock and key... literally. It's a musical, it's a parody, it's full of slapstick and sarcasm—and it's pure Mel Brooks. If you are new to the podcast then please consider following us on the platform that you love, we can be found most anywhere that you listen to your favorite podcasts. We've all heard these terms in the news: The Great Reset, The New World Order, One World Government, and Agenda 2030. What do they mean in relation to global governance vs. national sovereignty, and how do they affect your life or business? The United States recently chose to end membership in the World Health Organization (WHO), and Argentina became the second country to do so, as well. Why? Reggie Littlejohn, Linda's guest in this episode, is Founder & President of Anti-Globalist International, Women's Rights Without Frontiers, and Co-Founder of the Sovereignty Coalition. Her work as a lawyer and activist has spanned the globe in defense of national sovereignty and individual rights and freedom. Their conversation provides insight into upcoming plans of the WHO and action items for every citizen who wants to protect their own privacy, freedom, and security. Time is of the essence. Dr. Brad Littlejohn of American Compass and author of "Called to Freedom" addresses the problems with the current way of thinking about freedom as having multiple choices. What if those choices are harmful, or even addictive? Is that freedom? (Littlejohn will be speaking on Tue, April 15 at the University of Northwestern.) Rick Lawrence, author of "Editing Jesus," calls us to not just go throught the rhythms of Holy Week, but to laser-focus in on Jesus, His words, and His actions. We're taught that hard work, overachievement, and never needing a break are the keys to success. But what if this mindset only leads to burnout, rather than to fulfillment? In today's episode of Hello Monday, Jessi Hempel and Amanda Miller Littlejohn explore the ways in which rest can be revolutionary. Amanda, an executive coach and author of The Rest Revolution, shares her personal journey from burnout to healing, and explains how we can all reclaim our health, our productivity, and our joy. Together, Jessi and Amanda dive into practical strategies for finding rest in our busy lives, even when it feels like there's no time for it. They discuss: The toll of burnout on our mental and physical health How the pandemic helped Amanda confront her own dangerous work habits The importance of redefining success beyond productivity Simple ways to build rest into your daily rhythm Why true rest is essential to creating and sustaining new ideas How to reset your relationship with work and reclaim your health This episode is an essential listen for anyone ready to reimagine how to work, live, and rest. A popular refrain from both the left and the right in American society is one concerning the importance of liberty for the flourishment of their respective communities. But what does true freedom look like and, perhaps more importantly, how does one come to attain it and then keep it in a world like our own. This week, I am joined by Brad Littlejohn to talk about his new book, Called to Freedom: Retrieving Christian Liberty in an Age of License. In our conversation, we discuss the journey of writing this book, the nature and meaning of liberty in all of its areas, role of obligation and virtue, the influence of modern technology on freedom, and more. Brad is the Director of Programs and Education at American Compass and president emeritus at Davenant Institute. Cross & Gavel is a production of CHRISTIAN LEGAL SOCIETY. The episode was produced by Josh Deng, with music from Vexento.

From law to music — and now, corporate counsel for one of the world's most recognizable brands — she has built a career on embracing challenges and following her passions. As director and corporate counsel for global supply chain & innovation at Starbucks, Shai recently spoke at Rice Business' annual Women in Leadership Conference about the evolving legal landscape in Texas. After the panel, she sat down with Owl Have You Know co-host Brian Jackson '21 to talk about her dynamic career path, the lessons she's learned across industries, why she chose to pursue an Executive MBA at Rice and how she's already applying insights from the program in her career. [16:12] Shai Littlejohn: That they have to decide what they want and just go for it. You know, it's like—if the law doesn't... You can't look for laws necessarily to help you all the time or wait for the environment or timing to be right. We have talent that we can bring to the table. We have ideas, and nothing can stop that. We just have to keep putting them out there. You're not always going to get the reception you want, but that can't stop you from trying and going for it.What Rice's Women in Leadership Conference means to a woman in business15:43: Being a woman in business is exciting, and attending this conference is truly invigorating because opportunities are all around us. No matter what's happening in the world, we as women have immense potential and endless opportunities to pursue. This group is ready to seize them, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it.What's the biggest difference in working between oil and gas and coffee? 11:17: Corporate culture. Starbucks has a unique corporate culture, which I hope remains distinct because balancing culture with productivity is crucial. Many companies struggle to get that right, and striking that balance—work-life harmony alongside productivity—is very challenging.Show Links: TranscriptGuest Profiles:Shai Littlejohn's website
I have been enchanted by Disney since childhood. And as an adult, whenever I'm watching any movie or TV show, I can't help but play “Where do I know that actor from?” Thank you, IMDB for making my adult life that little bit easier. One of my first forays into content creation, way back in 2014 was a series I made called “Disney Doppelgangers” where I compare two or more famous animated Disney characters who are voiced by or modeled after the same actor. Alice and Wendy; the Queen of Hearts & Fairy Godmother; Baloo and Little John and many more! I still love this series and often recommend it to Kids who are interested in checking out my work. So without further adieu, please enjoy this collection of my 15 short Disney Doppelganger episodes! Join me every Tuesday when I'm Spilling the Tea on History! Full Text of ReadingsSaturday of the Second Week of Lent Lectionary: 235The Saint of the day is Saint Nicholas OwenSaint Nicholas Owen's Story Nicholas, familiarly known as “Little John,” was small in stature but big in the esteem of his fellow Jesuits. Born at Oxford, this humble artisan saved the lives of many priests and laypersons in England during the penal times (1559-1829), when a series of statutes punished Catholics for the practice of their faith. Over a period of about 20 years, Nicholas used his skills to build secret hiding places for priests throughout the country. His work, which he did completely by himself as both architect and builder, was so good that time and time again priests in hiding were undetected by raiding parties. Nicholas was a genius at finding and creating places of safety: subterranean passages, small spaces between walls, impenetrable recesses. At one point he was even able to mastermind the escape of two Jesuits from the Tower of London. Whenever Nicholas set out to design such hiding places, he began by receiving the holy Eucharist, and he would turn to God in prayer throughout the long, dangerous construction process. After many years at his unusual task, Nicholas entered the Society of Jesus and served as a lay brother, although—for very good reasons—his connection with the Jesuits was kept secret. After a number of narrow escapes, he himself was finally caught in 1594. Despite protracted torture, Nicholas refused to disclose the names of other Catholics. After being released following the payment of a ransom, “Little John” went back to his work. He was arrested again in 1606. This time he was subjected to horrible tortures, suffering an agonizing death. The jailers tried suggesting that he had confessed and committed suicide, but his heroism and sufferings soon were widely known. Nicholas Owen was canonized in 1970 as one of the 40 Martyrs of England and Wales. Reflection Nicholas was a clever builder and architect who used his skills to protect endangered priests. Without his help, hundreds of English Catholics would have been deprived of the sacraments. His gift for spotting unlikely places to hide priests was impressive, but more impressive was his habit of seeking support for his work in prayer and the Eucharist. If we follow his example, we may also discover surprising ways to put our skills to God's service. We are sisters and brothers in the spirit. Learn more! Saint of the Day, Copyright Franciscan Media

Join Aaron as he welcomes back Brad Littlejohn, author of "Called to Freedom: Retrieving Christian Liberty in an Age of License" and fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. In this thought-provoking conversation, they explore the true meaning of freedom from a Christian perspective and how it contrasts with modern society's understanding of liberty as unlimited choice. Brad unpacks how technology, despite promising greater freedom, often leads to new forms of enslavement, and explains why the Christian concept of freedom through service to Christ offers a more fulfilling path to genuine liberty.Note: The audio levels on this podcast are unequal. The Pugcast is pleased to welcome Brad Littlejohn back on the show to discuss his latest book, Called to Freedom. If there's one thing western culture seems to celebrate, it's freedom. But just what are we talking about when we speak of it? Does freedom mean doing anything you want, just so long as no one gets hurt? If so, is that even possible? That seems to imply freedom is either amoral or even immoral, and that can't be right. Fortunately we have rich wells to draw from in scripture and western philosophy on the matter and Brad is a faithful guide to those riches.
