This week Ryan, Matt, and presumably YOU take on Nacho Vigalondo's Colossal with a little pulp on top a la The Shadow, The Phantom, and Mute.

We're not sure whose side we're on but we definitely know there is shooting involved. Welcome to the 60th episode of Film Fallout, where Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan take aim at Free Fire this week. Ben Wheatley is one of our favorite directors, and we take a look at where this stacks in his filmography in terms of comedy and mainstream viability. We also have a nice gentle discussion about High-Rise - his previous film, and one that we both never loved as much we wanted. Before that we discuss James Gray's The Lost City of Z, Nacho Vigalondo's Colossal, and Sophia Takal's Always Shine. Plenty of movies to see in theater, but we also have our Blu-ray releases of the week, including our (obvious) pick for the one to pick up: La La Land. You can listen to our podcast on the popular film. There's also tons of superhero news, because of course there is, and apparently a lot of people do watch Adam Sandler movies. Next week, we'll be back with a review of The Circle starring Emma Watson and Tom Hanks, and directed by James Ponsoldt. Film Fallout is a weekly podcast about film and television. Every week, Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan discuss news happening in the industry, blu-ray releases coming out this week, what they’ve been watching, and then a review of one movie. You can listen to it on SoundCloud, iTunes, or on BagoGames. Also follow us on Instagram for some behind-the-scenes magic. We are both on Twitter, if you’d like to follow us there. Chris is @HammerkopCross, Dylan is @DreaminDylanS, and you can follow the podcast @Filmfalloutcast. And finally, there is a Facebook page for the podcast if you’d like to ‘like’ us on that.

Cult Following is back after an extended hiatus with Episode 52 - and this is an all-new all-different New 52 with new co-host Joshua Ruth joining Victor Moreno and Kirby Nelson! In this episode, we chat about some new releases including Ben Wheatley's FREEFIRE, Nacho Vigalondo's COLOSSAL and the live action GHOST IN THE SHELL. We also talk about the genre of Lovecraftian horror and discuss the new film THE VOID in great detail! Check out our new podcast and let us know what you think!
Two new releases highlight the podcast this week which, last week's show notwithstanding, will not in fact turn into a weekly podcast about "The Room." First, Will and Tim did into the Romanian moral drama "Graduation," which feels like '90s "Crimes and Misdemeanors"-era Woody Allen, but even more spare and despairing. Then they discuss Nacho Vigalondo's "Colossal," which features Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis as two Americans who have the strange, unwitting ability to control monsters attacking downtown Seoul. In this week's Reboot segment, we dig into Michael Mann's "The Last of the Mohicans," which features a brawny Daniel Day-Lewis being hyper intense. There's even a fun skit from the old "Ben Stiller Show" that we added. Stay alive, no matter what occurs! We will find you! Timestamps: 4:06 "Graduation" 18:50 "Colossal" 36:41 "The Last of the Mohicans" We hope you enjoy. Let us know what you think @griersonleitch on Twitter, or griersonleitch@newrepublic.com. As always, give us a review on iTunes with the name of a movie you'd like us to review, and we'll discuss it on a later podcast.
