The walls have been constructed, the Word has been read, revival & renewal have come, the followers of Yahweh have been identified, and now it’s time for it all to come together. It’s finally time to dedicate to the Lord what He has brought about. So they set themselves and their city apart for the right worship of God. --- What would change if we truly committed to centering our lives around the worship of God and not all the other stuff the world tells us is important? Worship comes out of God’s people because of something that’s happened within God’s people. - True joy is rooted in faith, and our joy can be seen in how we give. You can give without joy, but you can’t truly have the joy of the Lord and not give.

Last week we saw Nehemiah, his leadership and the people commit to placing God as their primary authority for daily living. This was evidenced in a signed declaration of their faith. Commitment is proven in the way through dedication. People of God living out their commitments. Dedicated to loving God and loving others. Many in today’s modern church are quick to make commitments but far more hesitant to live them out in their daily lives. Just as Nehemiah needed dedicated people to live by their commitment to God, our world needs the same, believers willing to rebuild the work of God through their dedicated living. Do you view your life as being divided into two areas of sacred and secular? Nehemiah, in our text today, will challenge the people of Israel to see their whole life as being dedicated to the service of God.
When we are blessed with divine renwal, our participation in God's process is not over. Indeed a key part of God's renewal process for His people includes us learning to properly respond to His gracious work in our lives. The proper response to God's grace is joyful thankfulness which in today's text is seen in dedication of renewed areas to God, intentional celebration of divine renewal, and joyful worship through singing, sacrifice, giving, and service.

We should always celebrate what God has done, and never stop planning to serve Him in the future.
Renewal in God's people always leads to rejoicing in lifestyle and song.
Observe as the people of God celebrate the building of the wall by dedicating it and themselves to God…
