We welcome James Rolfe (Angry Video Game Nerd) back to the show this week to help us ring in the Star Wars holiday season by talking all things Star Wars! To bring some balance to the opinions of the first six Star Wars movies, we first take a look at the prequel trilogy and find the good things to emerge from them. Despite the overwhelming amount of criticism they receive, they answer the many questions unaddressed by the original trilogy. We then take a look at the original trilogy to find some of the flaws overlooked, or ignored, by Star Wars fans over the years. As perfect as those movies are, they still have the moments that make some of us cringe. I mean, Chewie yelling a Tarzan call? Come on! Then we discuss our opinions of what we are expecting from the next Star Wars installment, The Last Jedi. With The Force Awakens having echoed A New Hope so much, we take a look at The Empire Strikes Back for predictions of what to expect. So throw in some headphones, grab your lightsaber, and swing it wildly around the room as we direct the greatest sci-fi adventure of all time, STAR WARS!!! It's the twenty second episode of the Rollin' Dice Show! This week Andy and Richard are joined by not just one, but two guests! Regulars Jimmy and Tom are back on the mics. With The Force Awakens finally available for home-viewing we've taken a trip to a long time ago and far far away to discuss Edge of the Empire, the RPG that's been gripping the four of us over the last few weeks. Long time listeners may remember that Andy ran the EotE beginner box with Richard playing when it first came out, but in the current campaign Rich is GMing, so there's lots of discussion from both sides about what we think of the system, and how fun the game actually is. After that we set our targeting computers to the recently released Rebellion, none of us have played it yet but we aren't going to let that stop us from having opinions! Games Discussed: Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG Star Wars: Rebellion

With The Force Awakens trailer out, everyone is buzzing about the new cross-guard lightsaber, but we go way back to the Expanded Universe and talk about the Lightwhip! We discuss the worst possible "light" weapons, and speculate on what we'll see in the sequels. (Note: We recorded this BEFORE The Force Awakens trailer was released, so there's lots of speculation. Alex's was eerily accurate.)Download Episode 8 - LightwhipLightwhips generally functioned on the same principles and mechanics as lightsabers, emitting a coherent beam of energy that was used as a weapon. However, rather than the straight, meter long blades emitted by standard lightsabers, lightwhips featured long, flexible blades that often exceeded several meters in length.Lots more info at Wookieepedia: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightwhip
