The Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now officially over as they lost to the San Francisco 49'ers at The Linc by a score of 23-19. Once again, the prevalent theme of this season was the offense not being able to do enough and score in the second half. After stalling on multiple drives with a number of 3-and-outs, the offensive scheme was the Achilles heel for the team. Consequently, the Eagles defense, which had been elite for much of the season, faltered in the end as well. We know the defense is epic, an all-timer, a total bulldozer of a squad. But the offense, I mean LORDY what do we do with that? Is there a "switch" that can happen in the playoffs? Well, with the Eagles in line to host the first round at home, we need to see it. Commies at the Linc to wrap out the season on Sundee, Morman Missile under center. Book it.The Sixers - a bit of a roller coaster on the west coast swing, but we had an instant classic in Memphis to enjoy (along with last nights solid wire-to-wire win against the Mavs and COOP in Dallas). And JoJo starting to WARM UP 30 games into the season :-). But it's always a great thing to watch "Maxey and the VJ" every night - turning into the most dynamic duo in the NBA HMMM??And then yes, you all finally get a Flyers segment! They have been on their own long west coast trudge, and it's been about a .500 affair...but the last couple of games show a really creative and unrelenting offense. Can their defense show up a bit more to protect that possible Venezia Trophy finalist between the pipes? If you don't know what I just said there, you need to watch more hockey. Week 15 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they absolutely destroyed the Las Vegas Raiders at The Linc by a score of 31-0. After a three game losing streak, this is the game the Eagles needed to give them a confidence boost as they head into the final games of this regular season. We saw an Eagles offense that was, at times, creative and utilized effective play design. Jalen Hurts not only used his legs more effectively in the RPO game, but he also threw three touchdowns. The defense was totally dominant, holding the Raiders offense to just 72 net yards. The Eagles are on the mat. They have been knocked down and humbled for 3 straight weeks. Philly is a city known for the concept of 'getting up off the mat' and fighting. It's in our DNA. This Sunday, at the Linc, we will see if the defending Super Bowl Champions can harness that and get a win over an inferior team with nothing to play for but putting good material on film for agents. Jalen Hurts has been berated, put down, and there are actually calls to bench the Super Bowl MVP. Only in Philly. The Las Vegas Raiders come in to town with their poor offense and shoddy defense, but local kid Kenny Pickett will be under center to try and get a win. We will learn a lot about this Birds team on Sunday at 1PM. The Phillies are bringing back Schwarber and Rob Thomson and attempting to finally win that World Series ring with this group. Time will tell if they also bring JT Realmuto back, as free agency pushes on. The Sixers are exciting and Maxey is a superstar, but this is not a championship caliber team. Week 11 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the Detroit Lions by a score of 16-9 at The Linc in South Philly. Yet again, we saw an offense that continues to sputter and baffle us fans. Meanwhile, we're watching a Super Bowl caliber defense that is defying the odds. They are now 8-2 on the season and at the top of the NFC East division and NFC overall.Once again, the Eagles were predictable, even though A.J. Brown saw 11 targets in this game. The rushing game, once again, couldn't get going. Jalen Hurts was missing open receivers and overthrowing receivers as well. The offense's main issue - the offensive line and their inconsistent play both in the rushing and passing game. the Eagles have the most expensive offense in the NFL by a significant margin. And they continue to be a terrible offense. It's an A+ grade for all aspects of this defense. From the pressure the defensive front consistently put on Jared Goff, to the linebackers making a tremendous impact, to the amazing play by the secondary on two of the league's best wide receivers, the defense was absolutely dominant. Week 8 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2025-2026 season is now in the books as they beat the New York Giants by by a score of 38-20 at The Linc. This was the type of statement win this team needed right before their bye week. The offense was dominant. The defense was dominant. They are now 6-2 on the season and at the top of the NFC East division.We all wanted to see the offensive line “get right” this week. We all wanted to see Saquon Barkley have a dominant game. Both happened as the offensive line opened up tons of gaps for the rushing attack to flourish. Barkley rushed the ball 14 times and totaled 150 yards, plus he had a receiving touchdown. Tank Bigsby also rushed the ball 9 times for 104 yards. Jalen Hurts also threw for 4 touchdowns today as well. The Eagles offense was working on all cylinders. The defense was also playing at a high level this week. 5 total sacks and 7 tackles for a loss. Plus, Zach Baun could be the most dominant Eagles linebacker we've seen in quite some time: a sack, 2 tackles for a loss, two passes defended, and a quarterback hit.
