Show notes: http://bit.ly/2eybvtS Note: There were unfortunately some audio recording issues with this episode. They'll definitely be corrected and cleaned up for next time. Apologies! Two Week Catch-Up: Robert watches his 26th straight week of anime and grapples with election doldrums Jermaine encourages Trump supporters to vote on Nov 28, breaks the Cubs' 108-year-old curse, watches more anime, and endorses Funimation Darrell looks forward to voting on Tuesday, watches Longmire, and proudly watches his daughters dance Nerdy News: Robert shares Tesla's vision of a beautiful solar-roof future Darrell subscribes to Lin Manuel Miranda's Twitter feed Jermaine reports that Blizzard has launched a pro-sports league solely for Overwatch Trailer Talk: Passengers Jermaine: "My paradise is no traffic and no lines. Could be a sleeper hit for me depending on how they play the relationship between Chris Pratt and J. Law. 3.5 stars" Robert: "It didn't feel obvious to me that the main male lead should be Chris Pratt. I feel it could've been any generic actor. 3.5 stars" Darrell: "The human psyche is just not to be built alone. I like what I see. Four stars" Mars Jermaine: "Everyone wants to go to Paris. Everyone wants to visit space. I was in space, son! Five stars" Robert: "Sign me up! What's great are the real-life documentary segments weaved into the story. Looking forward to this. Five stars" Darrell: "I don't wanna go to space. I'd rather visit the Bahamas. I don't wanna be somewhere you need a suit to enjoy the environment. Four stars" Review - Doctor Strange Jermaine: "I love this movie. I wished they explained 'time' more though. Also, while there's whitewashing of the Ancient One, I recommend" Robert: "Ugh. I think I'm biased with extreme prejudice. Movie too psychedelic for me. I recommend if you're a Benedict Cumberbatch or Rachel McAdams fan" Darrell: "The bad guy was more powerful than time? How does he break outta the time-reverse? How does that even make sense? I recommend though" Recommendations: Jermaine watches Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple - "Not that much fighting, but there's a great snowball effect of battle scenes" Robert recommends Attack on Titan - "Top-notch quality all-around. Can't go wrong. Extremely violent though" Darrell praises the extensive research Lin Manuel Miranda did for preparing for the Hamilton musical Credits: "You have been weighed. You have been measured. You have been found wanting" "You'll Be Back" by Jonathan Groff from Hamilton: An American Musical
