In the short time Hamilton has been available on Disney+, it's quite possible Payton has seen it more times than I've watched through The Office. As such she has some thoughts about The Duel we just witnessed and its' adherence to the (alleged) Ten Duel Commandments. Listen as Payton breaks down Andy and Dwight's duel to see how it adheres to the rules of a proper duel amongs civilized men. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/take-kids-2-office/message

How does a musical, no, not the Suessical, become something so perusable, so beautiful and viewable that our global obsession becomes excusable? Join us this week as we discuss how Act 1 of the broadway musical Hamilton can teach us to be better Christians. The truth is "You will never be satisfied" with just one Act so 'You'll be Back' for Act 2 next week because you're "willing to wait for it." #WelcomeToTheAdventure Challenges: Pray with the Litany of Humility Reflect daily on the blessings in your life, and give thanks to God for all the ways He is working in your life. Already a smash hit, Hamilton: An American Musical is about to explode again as it becomes widely available for the first time on Disney+ today, finding a completely new audience – including our own Matt Helgeson! Our host dives into the Broadway bash for the first time with help from Ben “Hamilton is the Greatest Work of Art of All Time” Hanson and special guest, Broadway performer/producer Alex Boniello (Spring Awakening, Dear Evan Hansen, Hadestown). We dig into the musical’s best tunes as well as what makes the whole package special, and field questions from the MinnMax community about underseen musicals, Kingdom Hearts, and whether or not Hamilton was hot IRL. Friends! Ancient Greeks! Fans of popular fandoms! Welcome to an elongated episode which is basically one gigantic SPOILER for both Game of Thrones Season 8 and Avengers Endgame. (Turn back now if that’s not your jam! Ye be warned.) How does a chelsea boot factor into this? JUST YOU WAIT. We really jump from the cock to the donkey a whole bunch in this one, and by the end of the episode you’ll understand both what that means AND how to say it in French! So we should probably go ahead and change our genre to “Educational.” This week’s duel: Language You Would Be Fluent In If You Could Learn It Instantly. We talked about the draft during #Lintoberfest and thanks to LMM's endless generosity and awesomeness, The Hamilcast is the only place you can hear this unreleased draft.
