I was so happy he could join us, as I've been friends with his incredible father for many years now. Talent doesn't fall far from the tree! Universal Orlando Resort and Mack Rides are facing at least five new lawsuits filed on December 18, 2025, in Orange County circuit court by attorney Nicholas Spetsas, alleging that riders of the Stardust Racers dueling roller coaster at Epic Universe suffered severe, permanent injuries—such as brain bleeds, spinal cord damage, paralysis, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries—due to their heads violently slamming repeatedly against the seat in front during rides between April and September 2025, stemming from inadequate restraints, negligent design, testing, warnings, and maintenance. These follow the September 17 death of 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who suffered similar blunt force head trauma (ruled accidental due to pre-existing spinal atrophy) after riding; his family, represented by Ben Crump, settled confidentially with Universal shortly after, with inspections confirming normal operation. It was originally written in French and published in 1995. It was not very well known until recently it surged in popularity.This renewed interest in the book is not unfounded. Although it is only thirty years old, I was convinced it was at least twenty years older. It reads much like the foundational dystopian sci-fi novels like 1984, Fahrenheit 451, or Brave New World.It tells the story of a woman who has lived her entire life in a prison. She has no memory of anything else. In the prison cell are only women. The other women do remember life before the prison, but nothing else. They don't know why they are there, and assume they will never be let out.
