Warhammer 40k ITC Competitive Podcast
Hey all this week we look into the GT Mission's Secondaries to see how your can get those sweet 45 points. At some point during the episode my internet cut out and I had to splice together 2 separate call audios, so if around the 30 minute mark you are confused that will be the reason. Thanks for listening and I hope this helps some people out there pick those perfect secondaries!
This week Nick and I go over some of the games we played and talk about the hard lessons we have learned about 40k 9th Edition. We also trash on the GW App a little since they robbed Nick of bucks. Thanks for listening all!
This week we go over how we think the new points will affect the meta of 9th Edition, discuss how we think certain armies will need to change with the new edition to stay competitive, and we also discuss the growing pains GW has gone through in releasing 9th Edition. Thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy the show.
Hey all, this week Nick, Jack, and I go over the Core Rules from 9th Edition (along with a lot of the leaks). Its an exciting time in 40k and we now know how 9th Ed. will be played rules wise, but how will this effect competitive games of 40k?! We go over the rules through the lens of a competitive player to see how we think tournament games will look in 9th edition. Thanks for listening and please like/subscribe/leave us a review to let us know how you like the show! Check out our facebook page also at: https://www.facebook.com/Almostgood40kcast-110178087325411/
Hey all in this weeks episode we bring on Ken Knox to go over his tips on preparing for, and playing in, 40k tournaments. Ken is one of the top players in the ITC and gives a ton of great advice on getting ready for tournaments that will be helpful if its your first of fiftieth tournament. Thanks for listening and if you enjoyed the show feel free to give us a review or a like or whatever to help the show grow!
We did it! We finally played an actual game of 40k in person (and in masks). In this episode we talk about our Admech vs. Guard ITC game as well as go into how we think the new Overwatch rules will effect armies in 9th Edition. Thanks for listening and check out our community page on Facebook!
Hey all, this week Jack, Nick, and I go over the new vehicle, blast, and terrain rules for 9th Edition 40k. This episode goes deep into our differing opinions on how 9th Edition is shaping up and what each of us thinks some of these previews means for the competitive side of 40k. Included toward the end of the episode is another wild prediction by me (as if we were't wrong enough about the 6x4 table size not changing. Thanks for listening and feel free to check out our Facebook Community page below!https://www.facebook.com/groups/596093917688966/

Hey all, this week Jack, Nick, and I go over how to pick secondaries when playing ITC 40k. We break down all of the secondaries one by one as well as give an overview of basic tips and strategies to choosing secondaries in tournament play. Thanks for listening and let us know what you thought!
Hey all, this week I brought on my buddy Jack to go over how to approach playing pure Guard in the competitive ITC environment. While you can definitely tell both Jack and I need to get out of our houses and get some sweet sweet games of 40k in there is also a lot of excellent content for Guard players of all levels looking to emerge from their barracks and start their ITC season up strong.
Hey all, this week Todd, Nick, and I go over our games we played on Tabletop Simulator where we used the Heretic Astartes Legion of our choice in some competitive ITC 40k games. We also give Games Workshop some excellent business advice (thanks Todd) before we swing it back around to our thoughts on what to do to play Heretic Astartes at their most competitive level.
Hey all, in this episode we cover how to play some of the lesser seen Heretic Astartes Legions in competitive ITC games. We cover World Eaters, Iron Warriors, and Emperors Children by going over a list we developed, how to play the list, and its synergy. This is the episode that I get dunked on for an hour about my love for Daemon Engines, but its ok because it end in a big 40k challenge!
Hey all, for this weeks episode we brought on Ken Knox, a competitive 40k player who has spent most of the year in the top 10 of the ITC rankings. Ken gives an excellent talk on how to get better at the game of competitive 40k for a brand new, intermediate, and even advanced player. This episode has so much excellent 40k knowledge in it that you def. don't want to miss out. Let us know what you thought and I hope you learned as much as I did from the discussion.
In this episode I bring on two of my more hobby focused teammates to go into ways a person can improve their painting skills. Now that most of us are stuck inside it's an excellent time to focus on the painting aspect of the hobby. We can all emerge on the other side of this thing with a fully painted tournament ready army!
This week we go over how to introduce someone into the hobby of 40k who has no prior experience in miniature war gaming. Many people are stuck inside and now is the time to strike people! Get your roommates, family, or whoever playing!
This episode is a wild ride of rambling through the thoughts of 3 40k gamers who haven't had a game in awhile. There are some pieces of golden advice in this episode but you are going to have to sift through the craziness of our quarantined brains to find them! Hope you all enjoy listening to this episode as much as we did recording it!
This is the episode Nick and I talk (rant) about what we have been doing while stuck in our houses. We go over what our plans our once tournaments start back up again and playing games using Tabletop Simulator.
Hey all, this week I have the tournament organizer from the MD Open on to summarize the event. The MD Open was a 28 player GT located near Frederick, MD. Episode also includes future plans for the MD Open and the Western Maryland tournament scene. Very exciting things coming in the future!
Hey all, for this bonus mini-episode I talk with one of the organizers of the MD Open GT. This tournament is a 48 person GT located in Frederick, MD. Hope you all enjoy the info and next week I will be covering the results of the tournament!
Hey all, this week I bring on my teammates Jack and Nick to go over one of the most important parts of any game: the deployment of the armies.
This episode I bring on my buddy (and teamate) Nick to talk about our thoughts on the recent ITC League our team recently completed. We also go into the new Space Marines changes and how we think the meta will shake up with these new changes along with the new ITC Missions. Hope you all enjoy!
Hey all this week I go over the new ITC Champions Missions and how I think they will shake up the game.
Hey everybody! Finally back with a new episode about how to deal with the new Iron Hands as a GSC player. I got my first game in against this new nasty codex, and I thought I'd give you some helpful tips and tricks I picked up from my game against them. Let me know what you all think even if you think I got horribly wrong and we are all doomed!
Hey all! This week the podcast has nothing to do with GSC (which is a bold move for a podcast titled GSC Cult Cast). I played in a team tournament GT recently with an Eldar Flyer list, and I thought it would be good content to quickly breakdown my games with some lessons learned. Let me know what you all think!
Hey all, this week I have a short episode with a few tips on playing GSC in ITC.
