Welcome to Beyond the Bars.  After nearly a decade of working for the Department of Corrections in a maximum security prison, I saw a darker side of the world that most don’t see. During my time working for DOC, I have experienced traumatic events, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and hypervigelance. All of these things have become mental “bars” that have been placed in my mind, preventing me from moving forward.  I am now sharing my journey in recreating my life after leaving the prison system, by searching for healing and ways to overcome the bars in my mind. My passion is to mentor, encourage, grow, and teach others so that they can fulfill their life calling by breaking out of the mental bars that  have been placed around their own minds. The goal of this platform is to share with those that are struggling that, with the help of community, they can overcome the adversities that they face. The focus of this show will be to share life changing events that myself and others have seen and experienced, with a focus on encouraging those who are walking through difficult life events.

Darron's stories are as enlightening as they are intense.
