Most entrepreneurs think the future is “Ai tools.”That's only half the game. The other half is IP - because if you're creating anything valuable, you either protect it, productize it, or you'll watch someone else monetize it.In this episode, Dan Sullivan and I make a 19-year commitment to a “Free Zone” collaboration - and we break down how to build 10x–100x partnerships using Ai + patents + thinking tools, without getting distracted, diluted, or stolen from. You'll see how Dan turns concepts into protectable assets (with an insane patent cadence), and how I'm turning conversations into prototypes, tools, and marketing - fast.If you're a founder who's overwhelmed with ideas, half-finished Ai outputs, or “vendors” who don't actually collaborate… you need to watch this.In this episode, Dan and I break down:The Free Zone collaboration model (and why vendors don't count)How Multiplier + Simplifier partnerships create patentable outputDan's real IP engine: 78 patents issued, 75 pending, and the workflow behind itDefensive vs. offensive IP: copyright + trademark + patentsWhy the real bottleneck isn't your market—it's distraction, isolation, and personal-life ceilingsHow to turn “what you already do” into a tool, framework, and protected assetWhy the future belongs to entrepreneurs, not giant corporationsTIMESTAMPS:00:00 The 19-Year Commitment01:28 Why This Collaboration Became the Model03:10 AI + Patents + Free Zone: The Big Bet04:25 Dan's Patent Engine (78 issued, 75 pending)06:23 Staying Simple in an AI World09:57 Fast Filter Applied to Our Collaboration15:52 Defensive vs. Offensive IP18:13 “I Self-Medicated With Thinking Tools” (Dan's story)21:33 How Dan Spots Patents Everywhere27:08 The Real Problem: Isolation + Distractibility33:28 Mike's “$10M Opportunities” AI Tool38:52 “Hero To” Clarity + Real Numbers45:35 The Hidden Growth Ceiling: Lifestyle + Identity54:59 The Plan: 10x the Podcast Audience58:31 “Instant IP” for Every Episode01:01:44 Why AI Talent Leaves Big Companies01:05:36 Next Steps: Story → Animation Trailer01:07:18 Wrap Up: Build Bigger With People You LikePS – When you're ready, here's how I can help: Join me for the Ai Accelerator Workshop this March 25th - LIVE from Genius Network Headquarters - register here: www.AiAccelerator.com/LiveWant to discover your next big opportunity? AI isn't about replacing people — it's about unlocking productivity and making customer experiences feel more human. On this episode of Right About Now, Ryan Alford sits down with Vinod Muthukrishnan, VP & GM of Webex Customer Experience at Cisco, to discuss how AI is transforming customer experience from fragmented interactions into continuous, context-driven conversations. Vinod explains why the purpose of AI in CX is not efficiency alone — it's humanization. From “concierge agents” that become the face of a brand to agentic systems that orchestrate complex multi-step requests across departments, this conversation explores the end of CX silos and the rise of intelligent, brand-aligned AI interfaces. They also tackle the real question everyone's asking: is AI taking jobs — or elevating them? Key Takeaways AI should make CX more human. Automation should enhance context, empathy, and continuity — not remove them. Context is the missing link in customer loyalty. Most brands reset conversations every time. AI fixes that. Concierge agents become the brand. They orchestrate backend systems while delivering one seamless customer conversation. Agentic AI moves beyond tasks. It executes complex, multi-step “jobs” across systems over time. AI won't replace humans — but AI-powered humans will win. Repetitive work declines. Strategic expertise rises. Let's know what you liked and learnt! In the final episode of the Contra Minds Timeless Wisdom series, Swami explores a radical idea from Kumar Vembu: leadership is not a role — it is a continuous act of relevance and reinvention. From building a “zero follow-up” organisation to eliminating full-time managers, Kumar shares how frictionless customer experience begins with frictionless internal culture. Empowerment, ownership, and clarity replace hierarchy, supervision, and anxiety-driven follow-ups.Perhaps the most powerful insight - Kumar “resigns” every night as a CEO — and reappoints himself every morning. This daily reset allows him to detach from past decisions, challenge his own mindset, and ask a hard question: Will I still be relevant five years from today? This episode is not about digital transformation alone. It is about transforming how we think about leadership, employability, and courage in a rapidly changing world.5 Key TakeawaysFriction inside creates friction outside: A seamless customer experience is impossible if teams struggle with internal obstacles.Zero follow-up reduces anxiety-driven management: When ownership is clear and visibility is built into systems, constant status-checking becomes unnecessary.Managers must stay employable: Leadership that loses hands-on capability becomes fragile and often unemployable in the market.Coaches replace controllers: The future of leadership is joint work, front-loaded thinking, and mentoring — not hierarchy.Resign every night to stay relevant: Detachment from past decisions allows leaders to act on emerging realities instead of defending outdated mindsets.

Is your relationship with alcohol driven by habit or a hidden "inner critic"? Today on Eyes Wide Open, we're joined by world-renowned hypnotherapist Georgia Foster to discuss her revolutionary "7 Days to Drink Less" program and why willpower is actually the weakest tool for changing your habits. In this episode, we dive deep into the emotional architecture of drinking and why societal shame often prevents real progress.  Georgia Foster explains the actual science of hypnotherapy, debunking the "magician" myths to show how the subconscious mind holds the key to moderation.  We explore the personality types behind drinking, from perfectionists to people-pleasers, and discuss how to silence the inner critic that drives the urge to over-consume.  This is an honest conversation about finding the middle ground, removing the stigma of "quitting," and reclaiming your authentic self without the weight of alcohol-induced shame.   Key Takeaways & Revelations Willpower vs. The Mind: Why willpower is ineffective for long-term change and how hypnotherapy targets the emotional root of the habit. The "Middle Ground" Approach: Why drinking less is often a more sustainable and achievable goal than complete sobriety for many individuals. Boredom & Emotional Triggers: Understanding how curiosity and awareness can dismantle the automatic response to drink when bored. The Inner Critic: How addressing the negative internal dialogue can stop the cycle of "shame drinking" and perfectionism. Personality Patterns: Identifying the difference between "perfectionist" and "pleaser" drinking styles to create a personalized path to wellness.   Our Mission Eyes Wide Open is a space for honest communication. Our goal is to remove the stigmas around mental health, holistic lifestyles, culture, and free speech so you can show up as your authentic self with your eyes wide open. In this episode, I'm breaking down a rare cosmic moment that only happens every 60 years and why it matters more than most people realize. The Ring of Fire solar eclipse, the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Fire Horse. Individually, they're powerful. Together, they create an energetic reset that invites you to stop shrinking and start initiating the next version of your life. This conversation isn't about astrology for entertainment. It's about how to practically use energy in your business, your leadership, and your identity. I share why this season is about identity-led decisions over goal-led decisions and why asking “Who am I becoming?” is far more powerful than asking “What am I achieving?” We talk about initiation, velocity, and courage and how this Fire Horse energy supports bold movement and a chance to reinvent yourself.

They explore barriers like regulatory pressure, the pull of “normal,” and the difference between improving safety and redesigning work. Using examples from pediatric intensive care and other domains, the conversation highlights pockets of progress, the danger of idea corruption, and the need to embrace experimentation, rethink systems, and find the next generation of thinkers to advance safety practice.

With Joe Duran – Managing Partner, Rise Growth Partners Overview What does it take to build something enduring—more than once? In this special replay, Joe Duran reflects on the mindset behind reinvention, the lessons from selling United Capital to Goldman, and why the most successful leaders never stop questioning their assumptions. About this episode… Joe Duran's career has always been about reaching new heights—and then helping others climb on their own. A proverbial mountain climber himself, Joe built and sold two of the most successful firms in the RIA space: Centurion Capital and United Capital. Today, Joe sees himself as a sherpa—guiding the next generation of entrepreneurs through his latest venture, Rise Growth Partners. His story is one of constant reinvention, relentless curiosity, and the humility to keep asking one simple question: “What if I'm wrong?” Joe first joined us on the show back in 2020, shortly after the sale of United Capital to Goldman Sachs. Now, with the benefit of both hindsight and foresight, Joe revisits that experience and explores the mindset behind building truly world-class firms, including: The Goldman experience—and what he learned from the sale of United Capital. The development of Rise—and how he sees it helping to shift the narrative in the industry. Learning from your clients instead of your competitors—and why that's the real key to building a world-class firm. Finding an investor that can “really help you—and why you need to look beyond “financiers.” Adding services without adding staff—and when you shouldn't look in-house for solutions. Challenging your assumptions—and how to stay relevant in an industry that never stops changing. And why being great doesn't necessarily mean being the biggest. Joe also reflects on how the industry can avoid the risk of mega-RIAs repeating the mistakes of the wirehouses. It's a candid and thought-provoking conversation about reinvention, leadership, value creation, and what it means to evolve from mountain climber to sherpa from one of the industry's trailblazers. Many women hit midlife and feel something they cannot name. They are still doing the right things, eating well, exercising consistently, showing up for everyone, yet life suddenly feels harder and less familiar. Age Like a Girl gives language to this experience and explains why it is not a failure, but a shift happening beneath the surface. This is not a motivation problem. This is not a discipline issue. And it is not “all in your head."In this hol+ conversation, Dr. Taz sits down with New York Times bestselling author and leading voice in women's health Dr. Mindy Pelz, host of the hit podcast The Resetter Podcast, to explore the core message behind Age Like a Girl: menopause is not a decline, it is a biologically wired reinvention.Instead of treating perimenopause and menopause as a crisis to manage, Dr. Mindy reframes the transition as a neurochemical and cognitive remodel designed to make women more focused, emotionally resilient, and aligned with who they truly are. She breaks down why modern life often clashes with this primal design, and why brain fog, mood shifts, and emotional intensity are not random symptoms, but signals that the brain is asking for a new way of living. This episode explores why women can feel anxious, disconnected, or unlike themselves even when they are “doing everything right,” and how metabolism, stress chemistry, and neurotransmitters shape mood, clarity, and identity. Dr. Taz and Dr. Mindy discuss why many women initiate big life and relationship changes after 40, why community and connection become essential, and why reinvention is not a midlife crisis, but biology. From perimenopause into postmenopause, this conversation reframes aging as an awakening. Not the end of youth, but the return of clarity, boundaries, and self-trust. If you have ever felt dismissed, confused, or afraid that something is wrong with you, this episode offers a validating and hopeful roadmap forward.Dr. Taz and Dr. Mindy Pelz discuss: • The core message of Age Like a Girl and why it reframes menopause • Why the female brain is biologically wired for reinvention after 40 • Brain fog and mood shifts as signals of a cognitive remodel • How modern life clashes with primal biology • Why women often make major life decisions in midlife • The role of neurotransmitters in clarity, calm, and confidence • Why community and deep connection matter more than ever • How to reclaim vitality without another exhausting checklistAbout Dr. Mindy PelzDr. Mindy Pelz is a New York Times bestselling author, visionary educator, and trailblazer in the field of women's health and hormone science. With over two decades of experience, she's built a global movement to help women understand the power of their bodies at every stage of life. Her bestselling books, including Fast Like a Girl, The Menopause Reset, and Eat Like a Girl, have helped millions of women use fasting, nutrition, and lifestyle shifts to balance hormones, boost energy, and take back control of their health. Her newest release book, Age Like a Girl, redefines what it means to grow older as a woman.Rooted in the latest science and rich in personal story, the book challenges outdated narratives about menopause and aging offering instead a roadmap for awakening. We're talking about identity, habits, environment, and style — and how these elements quietly shape your confidence, energy, and direction. We explore the invisible choices that quietly shape your confidence, your energy, and your results; from what you tolerate, to how you dress, to whether your daily habits support the life you say you want. Inside the episode, we unpack: The mindset shift that changes your results faster than goal-setting ever will A simple way to tell if your daily actions actually match the future you want How your clothing influences confidence, focus, and personal power (often without you realizing it) Why consistency — not intensity — is what creates lasting transformation The role your environment plays in either reinforcing your old identity or supporting your next one Why growth always feels uncomfortable, awkward, or "cringe" before it feels aligned How learning, curiosity, and expansion are essential to feeling alive again If you've been craving a fresh chapter — not a dramatic overhaul, but a deeper alignment with who you're becoming — this episode will help you rethink reinvention and begin from a more powerful place. What if slowing down after 50 is a choice, not a rule set by Father Time? Many men over 50 feel capable but stalled. Energy dips, goals shrink, and fitness becomes optional instead of essential. The result is drift, not decline. This conversation with Jeff Weiss confronts that tension and reframes what racing against time really means in the second half of life.Listeners will discover:Why specific, demanding goals create structure when motivation fadesHow fitness over 50 becomes a foundation for clarity, confidence, and momentumPractical ways to reinvent yourself without chasing youth or extremesPress play for a grounded shift in thinking and clear ideas that translate into action, not inspiration. If you find this episode helpful, please subscribe and share it with friends and family.NEW FOR 2026: Click here to get my weekly Unstoppable After 50 Playbook

Just when you though you understood what a zone hold was … Hasn’t the comp climbing format already been “solved?” Some think there is room for improvement, including Charlie Boscoe, an alpinist turned World Cup commentator. He is the co-founder of the Professional Climbing League, a new comp series launching in London on February 28. But first, Chris sings praise of a crag where people know how to operate, and the wheat is separated from the chaff. Unfortunately, it turns out the chaff is Andrew. For our final bit, friend of the show Christopher Parker returns with the namesake track off his new album, Withered Roses, dropping January 30th.  Show notes Professional Climbing League: https://www.proclimbing.com YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@ProClimbingLeague Follow the PCL: https://www.instagram.com/proclimbingleague/ Follow Charlie Boscoe: https://www.instagram.com/charlieboscoe1/ Western Sloper: https://www.wolverinepublishing.com/shop-all-guidebooks/p/western-sloper-4th-edition Christopher Parker Music: https://christopherparkermusic.com Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6qZrlQIIBrZGDvx69AXmus?si=try9WEw7T86bNvCw770smQ Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/christopher-parker/9258292 Become a RunOut Rope Gun! The end of the year can bring a lot of pressure to reflect, reset, and reinvent yourself all at once. Some people love the fresh-start energy of January, while others feel overwhelmed, resistant, or just plain tired. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, this episode is an invitation to step away from the noise and approach the transition into a new year in a way that actually feels supportive. In this short episode, I talk about why January isn't as powerful as we've been led to believe, why there's no single “right” way to do personal growth, and how you don't need resolutions, routines, or lifestyle overhauls to be worthy of change. I also guide you through a simple end-of-year reflection designed to help you close the year with honesty and move forward with clarity—without pressure or what might feel like performative positivity. In this episode, we explore: Why you don't have to begin the year with resolutions, intentions, or rigid routines in order to grow or change How January is just a date on the calendar, and why meaningful resets can happen at any point in the year The importance of questioning advice that claims there's only one correct way to heal, grow, or live well A simple end-of-year inventory that invites you to reflect on: The wins and moments where you showed up for yourself The lessons you learned about your needs, limits, and patterns The losses, endings, and disappointments that shaped your year  What you're ready to stop carrying forward into the next year Why focusing on how you want to feel can be more grounding than focusing on what you want to accomplish How choosing a few feeling-words for the year ahead can serve as a compass rather than a set of rules As you step into the new year, remember that you're not behind and you don't need to have everything figured out right away. You're allowed to move slowly, do things differently, and begin again whenever it feels right for you. Resources from this episode: Write Your Way Through It starts on January 21st!
