The ascendency of AWS under the leadership of Andy Jassy was marked by a tsunami of data and corresponding cloud services to leverage data. Those services mainly came in the form of primitives – i.e. basic building blocks that were used by developers to create more sophisticated capabilities.AWS in the 2020s, led by CEO Adam Selipsky, will be marked by four high level trends in our view: 1) A rush of data that will dwarf anything previously seen; 2) Doubling down on investments in the basic elements of cloud – compute, storage, database, security, etc; 3) Greater emphasis on end-to-end integration of AWS services to make data accessible to more professionals and further accelerate cloud adoption; and 4) Significantly deeper business integration of cloud, beyond IT, as an underlying element of organizational transformation. In this Breaking Analysis we extract and analyze nuggets from John Furrier's annual sit down with the CEO of AWS. We'll share data from ETR and other sources to set the context for the market and competition in cloud and we'll give you our glimpse of what to expect at re:Invent 2022.

Today, I am blessed to have here with me Dr. Sharon Stills. She is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor who helps perimenopausal and menopausal women to pause and evaluate life so they can live the second act of their story stronger, healthier, and sexier while aging backward. Using her 20+ years of experience and extensive training and background in European Biological Medicine, anti-aging therapies, and Bio-identical Hormone Replacement, she has successfully helped thousands of women transition gently through the different stages of their lives with all natural methods. Dr. Stills is passionate about spreading the word about her signature RED Hot Sexy Meno(pause) Program – the philosophy she developed for you to Reinvent your Health, Explore your Spirit and Discover YOUR Sexy so that you, too, can create and live the life you desire and deserve! She founded and ran one of the largest and most successful naturopathic clinics in the country for a decade and is the host of The Science Of Self Healing podcast. She is an expert physician for Women's Health Network and she educates other physicians as the Co-Lead North American lecturer for the Paracelsus Academy in Switzerland. Patients work with Dr. Stills in a variety of ways: through telemedicine consults and her life-changing retreats for individuals or small groups in healing and rejuvenating locations around the world. Some patients will even fly out to see her or fly her in just to get the chance to work with her one-on-one. In this episode, Dr. Stills dives into all things hormones. One of her favorite hormones for women is progesterone. If you are anxious, nervous, not sleeping, and carrying around water weight, getting progesterone can be a total game-changer for your life. Dr. Stills explains how castor oil packs are great for liver health and menstruating women. Plus, Dr. Stills gives other tips on keeping your liver in tip-top shape. [10:50] Progesterone Can Be A Total Game-Changer For Women Balanced hormones equal sanity. If you are not feeling sane, a hormone is probably involved. Hormones are like a symphony because they all play together. Progesterone is a natural Valium. If you are low in progesterone, you can be very anxious, not sleeping, and carrying around water weight. When your body gets progesterone, it's like a giant exhale. [15:25] How Castor Oil Packs Can Help Support Menstruating Women Castor oil packs are a fantastic thing to do if you're a cycling woman; it does wonders for liver function. Also, castor oil makes you lie die with a pack for forty minutes; it's a great time to nourish yourself. Unfortunately, many people are out of sync with their cycles because they are out of sync with their life. We need to get out in nature, and we need to rest. All in all, we need to take the time to be more nourishing and connect with the moon and sun. [20:00] Dr. Stills Gives Tips For Keeping Your Liver Healthy Coffee enemas are great for people who have cancer. If you're doing castor oil, staying hydrated, and moving your lymphatic system, you will do a lot for your liver. Make sure you are sweating! Also, start your morning with some warm lemon water. For the liver, Dr. Stills recommends taking phosphatidylcholine. Eat your biggest meal in the middle of the day when your digestive fire is most robust. Lastly, don't eat food three hours before you go to bed. [29:55] Death, Taxes, and Menopause: It's A Natural Transition For All Women You don't have to suffer during menopause. If you're suffering, most likely you are not eating right, you aren't sleeping right, or you don't love yourself right. Your hormones drop during menopause. It's time to get them rebalanced! We're doing ourselves a big disservice if we're not replacing our hormones. Remember, menopause is not a disease; it's a natural transition all women undergo. [36:15] Blood, Urine, and Saliva: What To Know About Testing Your Hormones Bloodwork is the way that most women have their hormones tested. However, bloodwork is very misleading unless you look at it from a functional perspective. You shouldn't rely on blood when talking about progesterone and estrogen. Dr. Stills is a massive fan of 24-hour urine. You can do saliva samples throughout your cycle if you're a menstruating woman. Dr. Stills likes to use saliva testing for cortisol testing. [42:30] Thyroid Blood Testing and Listening To Your Body Bloodwork is excellent for thyroid health. Your thyroid levels can look okay, but your hair is falling out, you're constipated, you can't lose weight, and you have brain fog. That's when Dr. Stills will want to check iodine levels and temperatures. Just because bloodwork is okay doesn't mean you don't have symptoms. Find a doctor who works with you instead of just your lab results. AND MUCH MORE! Welcome to Part 2 of “Will Artificial Intelligence Replace Humans?”Today, Dan and Mike will wrap up this 2-part podcast by uncovering a few key principles that all entrepreneurs need to know in order to survive what's inevitably coming. If there's one thing they know, it's that AI will continue to advance and become smarter and faster. For the inexperienced entrepreneur, it's creating a lot of worry and fear and Mike thinks he knows why…We've already seen robots replace factory workers in assembly-line industries. Phone operators, telemarketers, and even receptionists are a thing of the past for many businesses. Many pharmacies are replacing their technicians with robots capable of separating and handling prescriptions...The next logical question is… Is your industry or skill set next?Mike thinks it depends. Luckily, there are a few things that you can do about it. Simple things, that if implemented, won't just provide “job security” but change the way you do business. Here's a hint as to what it is that separates you from any robot out there… It's the “human element.”Tune into the whole episode and it will explain everything. Have you ever felt lost, depressed, scared, or unsure of what to do with your life? My guest today, Mike Koenigs, will show you that there is always a way to reimagine and reinvent yourself, no matter how overwhelmed you may feel. Mike is an extraordinarily successful serial entrepreneur who has earned tens of millions of dollars and worked with clients such as Tony Robbins, Paula Abdul, and Richard Dreyfuss. But in his early 50s, Mike felt purposeless, suicidal, and broke. In today's conversation, Mike shares how he came to understand that our beliefs are what prevent us from accessing our power to change our circumstances, and he teaches us how our beliefs determine our happiness and purpose in life. Now, just a few years later, he's happier and healthier than ever, runs a multimillion-dollar business and helps other entrepreneurs rediscover their purpose and find their next act in life. KEY TAKEAWAYS The foundational beliefs and values that will help you overcome any situation, no matter how difficult. The importance of working through your childhood trauma and unresolved issues. How Dan Sullivan's advice helped him rediscover his purpose, get out of his massive $2 million debt, and build a thriving business. Why being honest and vulnerable isn't a weakness; it's your superpower. The next time you feel like life's too much, be kind to yourself instead of judging your emotions. How meditating for three days straight helped Mike realize he could reinvent himself and create value for people in the process. You'll also learn Mike's 6-step framework for personally and professionally reinventing yourself, regardless of age. The Evolution of Human LaborFasten your seatbelt because you're in for a wild ride!In today's episode, Dan and Mike started off talking about AI and the evolution of human labor, but that quickly evolved into a conversation about being able to spend all of your time in your own, “Amplified State.”Or as Dan called it, YOU AMPLIFIED! (Full disclosure… Mike loved the term so much that he actually registered the domain while they were recording.)Think about the evolution of man… We started out as hunters, and then as communities started growing, we became workers. Farmers initially, but then we started turning towards knowledge, and that meant becoming creators. The next evolution is NARRATORS.What's happening today is that there's AI technology that allows you to speak what you want, and the AI writes it for you.Mike listened to a podcast the other day that was completely created by an AI. It was a conversation between Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs, and for the most part, it sounded fairly believable.Facebook just came out with an AI system that generates videos from text, and Elon Musk recently talked about a new $20,000 robot that he wants to put in his factories, leveraging all of the data acquired from self-driving cars.Imagine if you had a $20,000 robot. What would you have it do that would create huge additional capabilities for you? Then Dan brought up a VERY good point. “There's a big difference between human intelligence and AI intelligence… AI is NOT coming up with the ideas. It doesn't have dreams or meaning. It just takes what already exists and reconfigures it.”WOW. This was one of the most inspirational episodes that Dan and Mike have done in a long time. It really got Mike's wheels turning, and you'll get a ton out of it too.And BONUS… this is part one of two, so make sure to watch out for the conclusion next week.Start by listening to Part One TODAY!Key Takeaways (02:07) SO much new technology is happening right now! Reinvention of self typically brings betterment. You know just like anything there is a spectrum to your life and who you are. Mindset is no difference and that includes what you choose to reinvent. In this episode I get into a concept I like to call active thinking and how you can practice your response instead of reacting.

To stay in tune with industry trends is itself challenging, but necessary in order to partner and deliver experiences together, which is the reality of the high tech industry these days.] Thanks for listening. When going after an opportunity that might be a little (or a lot) outside your comfort zone, it could be easy to convince yourself you're not prepared. What I love most about Julie Bent's story is that she never let that stop her!Throughout her life she had the courage to pursue all kinds of things outside her comfort zone like being a costume stylist for film and TV to fulfilling her dream of becoming a boutique owner and opening Tortuga. And that faith that she could figure it out along the way was an incredible catalyst that opened doors and transformed her life. So if there's a dream on your heart you've been yearning to pursue and yet thought you might not be "ready" yet, this episode's for you my friend.IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT: Believing in your ability to figure it outThe power of curation, in your space and in your lifeExploring fashion as a way to intentionally express yourselfHow “sparks” can guide you towards letting go as well as towards what to pursueThe importance of asking big questions and the difference one person can makeMORE ABOUT JULIE:Julie bent is the Founder and Shopkeeper of Tortuga, a modern boutique and online shop in Baltimore Maryland. Only when we are not living completely authentically, and only when we misidentify with our mind-made versions of ourselves, can we wish to reinvent ourselves. The real question is, "How can I live more in line with my inner nature?"We all know the experience where we are so in our head, planning and plotting what to say or how to act, that we become insecure. When we become insecure, we're not being true to ourselves. Instead, we are living in fear of what we will say and how it will be perceived. The key to being natural, being magnetic, and being charismatic, is when we remove that pressure from ourselves and when we can relax and just be.In this episode, I share some secrets on how we can become the best version of ourselves. By being mindful, instead of being fearful, we can instinctively and effortlessly respond to any situation in the way that specific moment calls for — not some imagined moment because we're too in our head to be fully present. Please enjoy other episodes where I share meditation techniques, tips and spiritual lessons from around the world for peaceful and stress-free living. Your health can't wait until tomorrow… By that time, it may be too late.As a high achiever, entrepreneur, and overall “Go-getter”, whether in business or life in general, how often have you lied by telling yourself:“Tomorrow… Tomorrow I will start to eat clean, get more rest, and start my daily exercise routine. Tomorrow I will start focusing on taking care of my health… Tomorrow.”It's a tune we hear way too often that usually results in little to no progress from most entrepreneurs. Health, Longevity, and Life Extension don't become important until the threat of losing it all becomes real.As obvious as you'd think prioritizing your health should be, we can't say that we blame most entrepreneurs for having to learn this lesson the hard way… After all, you have way too much on your plate, right? It's a slippery slope that you don't want to find yourself stuck on…That's what happened to Mike 10 years ago after finding out he had cancer. Long story short, it almost cost him his life. He got well and became obsessed with making sure that no one he loves ever has to go through what he did, that he will never get cancer again, and that he will have the highest quality of health possible every day that he's still breathing. He had been having a pretty good run of health since then… or so he thought until he met Regan Archibald, The Peptide Expert. He's a functional medicine practitioner, licensed acupuncturist, and author of eight books on health and healing.Archibald is a recognized specialist in peptide therapy and through Mike's bloodwork, has been able to identify markers of otherwise undetected, underlying issues. He was then able to suggest certain peptides to optimize Mike's metabolic functions and revolutionized his health. Mike is 56, but he feels and looks like he did in his 30's! (Ask anyone who knows him) Listen to this fascinating episode as Regan uncovers the secrets to health, longevity, and life extension by revealing the secrets of Peptide Therapy. It's time to put your health FIRST.Key Takeaways: (04:48) “Wipe and Mail…” You can mail your poop? Sonia T. was ready to be productive, but the moment she sat down to work, the power went out. Is this just bad luck or a sign of something deeper? Sonia T. was so annoyed and really had to train herself out of the negative space she was in. Sonia C. knows the feeling. Something similar happened to her recently and it took her a real moment to get out of the icky frustration she was in. This week's theme is about: Reinvent Yourself and How You See the World Highlights: What you're dealing with isn't drama, it's the stress and you're turning it into drama. [6:00] When Sonia C. first came to Paris she was coming out of a really negative situation. Now that the times have changed, don't hold onto the bad memories. Reinvent them! [7:30] There are a lot of life things blowing up for Sonia C.'s clients right now. No matter how bad it gets, there's always a solution [11:05] Sonia T. reflects on her own reinvention. [17:00] One of Sonia C.'s strengths is her inner child and she's going to let her drive the bus for a little while. [23:40] What does it really mean to reinvent yourself? [30:50] Never assume you know anyone, including yourself. [32:15] Sonia C.'s updated course is coming out on Nov 1st! Sign up! [36:55] Tool of the week. [34:00] Question of the week. [39:30] How many times have you let your bad day bleed over and affect the person you're closest to? Sonia T. found herself in an argument with her boyfriend and she realized that this argument was not only going nowhere, but it was dumb! She realized that she just had to let it go. Sonia C. knows we can sometimes let our own stress turn into drama that doesn't need to be there. When this happens, recognize it's just stress and you don't need to use others as a boxing bag. Breathe and drop it! We get into the big poo of certain things in life and we can easily stay in that poo forever. You don't need to look back on that negative period of your life with bad vibes though. You are in complete control of changing it. Sonia C. was feeling some of these bad vibes when she came back to Paris and she knew she had to take immediate action so that Paris would not be tainted forever with these ‘bad vibes'. She decided to reinvent herself and explore her city with fresh eyes. Question of the Week: I get a sinking feeling when I have to do something that's good for me (like my taxes or eat healthy), how do I know if it's good for me vs. my intuition telling me not to do it? "Different circumstances in my life brought a change of school. It was during this time of change that I felt I had an opportunity to be a different person. Reinvent myself to some degree. Felt I wanted to experience all the 'forbidden' things I knew I shouldn't. It was at a friend's 18th birthday party that I had my first taste of alcohol. I'll never forget how it burnt my throat and tasted horrible. Yet at the same time, I felt strangely excited, that here I was doing something 'naughty' and no one would ever find out. That regardless, I would be able to control it. There would be no way that I would ever let it control me. I would just have to be sensible. I was strong enough to know my limit. Boy was I wrong. As time passed my taste for alcohol increased. Instead of being satisfied with one glass, it became two, or three. Instead of enjoying 'premixed' drinks - where the alcohol is masked by 'lollywater' - I developed a taste for hard liquor. Unfortunately, most of the people I associated with encouraged this journey of 'exploration." ___________________________________ Tune in to listen to today's episode. Marisa has worked as a marketing executive for leading brands such as Revlon Inc., The Estee Lauder Companies, Taco Bell and most recently Lowe's, while also forming and running her own organization called Executive Moms which is a peer support and networking tool for women who are mothers and professionals such as herself. During our conversation, Marisa shared that she has faced challenges throughout her journey and career but having access to a wonderful network of people keeps her grounded in the moments of adversity. Some powerful takeaways from today's episode: Sometimes you're the one that jumps off the pier, so to speak, and other times you get pushed The singular characteristic that defines all successful people is not socio-economic background or education level, it's their resilience Don't think of Reinvention as becoming someone totally different than who you are, it's about adapting to change and growing by doing new things You are not alone in your journey and experiences - just talk to your peers and others and you'll find you're in good company The secret to leaning into the twists and turns of life is to believe that they have a purpose in your journey Links: Marisa Thalberg's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/marisathalberg/ THE RE:INVENTION EXCHANGE - for more Inspired Content, Blogs, Podcasts, Virtual Chats, or to buy a copy of my book RE:INVENT YOUR LIFE!
