The Blended in America podcast is about growing up in a non-traditional family, being bi-racial, being adopted, and the struggles of "blending in". It's a bold look at how we view ourselves vs. how we are viewed by others, why thats important, and what you can do to overcome the stereotypes of society and get on with the business of just being yourself.
It's time we look at mental health with a new perspective. After experiencing disorientation at fatigue at the airport, my son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Where was he for 11 days while missing? How was he found? How can I be sure that this mental health diagnosis is valid? Is our state of mental health determined by our actions or is there more to it? All these questions are answered and more in today's episode.Follow me on..Instagram:@marcella.gee@bna_podcastFacebook:MarcellaGeeTwitter:@PodcastBna
This is 100% true! My 22-year-old son was missing for 11 days after landing in O'Hare Airport in Chicago. The relief of finding him was short lived when I couldn't see him and could barely talk to him because he was checked into the Behavioral Health Department of Roseland Community Hospital on Chicago's south side and no one could tell me why. This my real life account of what happened.
