In this premiere episode of "Songs From the Journey", co-host Celia Boone takes us behind the curtain share with us the impact a famous commercial jingle had on her life. Although thousands have enjoyed her piano playing for decades, few know of the personal and family challenges she's faced in her life. Vision Insight, LLC – As a single mom of a son who is seventeen and preparing to graduate from high school in a few short months, quality conversations can be somewhat limited to, be home by midnight, are you hungry and a quick I love you as he rushes out the door to school. Add in the fact that I am legally blind and he is an avid gamer – one could easily conclude that quality conversations about his hobby are literally impossible. But that is not the case. Today I will launch my first podcast in a series devoted to my son’s passion for gaming. During the first episode we take a look back at some life lessons learned through early childhood gaming choices and how my son was introduced to gaming. What influenced his first game purchase (despite my ignorance – he chose wisely) and we will discuss the culture of gaming, his frustration with “cheats”, what are quality games versus those providing instant gratification and explore his growing passion for competitive play. WOW!! – What a conversation!! Join us and if you have a gamer in your life, grab them too – this could be a great conversation starter for you and your gamer!! Remember, the statements made during our podcasts are only our opinions and not reflective of any research, so take what you like and leave the rest!!Enjoy!
