Two women, Jess and Angela, that both love a good book and a strong drink. Listen as we drunkenly, and likely inaccurately, review some of our favorite and not so favorite books.
In this episode Angela and Jess talk about the graphic novel adaptation of Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain. This book had absolutely beautiful artwork and tells a story that made us both cry. I mean, it got us right in the feels. So hard. And if you want even more feels, Watch the movie. Both are visually stunning and beautifully heartbreaking. Oh, and our hospital is haunted.
Jess and Angela, while recovering from the holidays, discuss Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin. This was intended to be our Halloween episode. However, due to our hectic schedules, we didn't quite make the deadline. So happy Hallow-Thanks-Mas-Eve, everyone! We didn't drink this time around (unless you count the water and tylenol), but you do get to hear our reaction to the trailer for Jordan Peele's "Us". Fun fact: Jordan Peele gained inspiration for "Get Out" from Rosemary's Baby! Can you tell we may have gotten off track again? Jess and Angela talk about The Exorcist while fighting through off-topic tangents and technical difficulties.
Join Jess and Angela on their pilot episode while they have a very tipsy discussion on the book "I'll Be Gone In The Dark" by Michelle McNamara. If You're a trooper and decide to stick around til the end, you'll hear them announce what book their next episode will be on. Disclaimer!!!! This is a pilot. It's not very refined. And our flow is garbage. It will get better, guys. We promise.
