Hello all you ed-heads, Timbos, and Mattiacs. This week we are covering one of the worst non-zombie zombie movies i've ever seen. The Chilling. What happens when a rag tag group of Grizzly Adams, and Linda Blair run afoul of a corrupt organ harvesting cryogenic lab ponzi scheme? Well, I'm not really sure. I've seen this movie twice in as many weeks now, and I'm still not really sure what happens.Go listen to Matt on The Might Peculiar, and check out his bluesky at https://bsky.app/profile/mattbegins.bsky.socialCheck us out on Bluesky. me @eddietheaxe Tim @ yobogoldAlso, like, rate, and subscribe. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 103rd episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. First, we finally found an apartment and have begun the endless process of settling in and making it our own, furnishing it and transferring our stuff from a storage unit in Bismarck to our new home in Utah. I also took in a book chat with author and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan of "All About Agatha" promoting the second installment in his ghostwriter mystery series, reviewed in "Ep. 99: Getting Up to Speed" around the 20-minute mark. This set covers discs 1851 to 1875 in my Classic Collection. For my Fuzzy Feature, from Disc 1873, comments on the pilot episode of AMC production "Rubicon," along with my 13th ever "VideoFuzzy the Video" posted here: https://youtu.be/j0quoW7veBo Light set of Cross Connections for this set which tracked James Badge Dale, Mary Lynn Rasjkub, Stephen Root, Iqbal Theba, Rich Sommer, Michael Badalucco, Laura San Giacomo, Jim Beaver, Amber Benson, Sterling K. Brown, Linda Blair, Devon Gummersall and Matt Keeslar. Also highlighted Golden Thread Michael McKeon and Golden Prime Stephen Tobolowsky's appearance in "Radioland Murders" alongside Brian Benben, Mary Stuart Masterson, George Burns, Ned Beatty, Christopher Lloyd, Anita Morris, Corbin Berntson, Bobcat Goldthwait and Larry Miller. In my Classic Collection, comments on the fifth-season "Doctor Who" episode "Amy's Choice" featuring The Dream Lord. Also, Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman in "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother," "Radioland Murders," "100 Questions," "Saving Grace," "Drop Dead Diva" and "Persons Unknown." In Video Outreach, I broke into my 10th binder with this set, so I took some time to look back at what turned up in binder no. 9, including President Obama's first term, passage of the Affordable Care Act, and ... I put a few notes together on my long overdue discussion of "Flashforward." Under Book Report, I talk about some of the books I read on my trip to D.C. for Kemper's book tour, including Lucy Foley's "The Guest List." Also, an anthology of short mysteries by contemporary authors detailing new adventures of beloved Agatha Christie creation Miss Marple titled, simply "Agatha Christie's Marple." And on my stop through Chicago I found a fun independent bookshop called "Bookends and Beginnings," and a speculative think-piece called "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig -- fun! In What I've Been Watching, I'm still waiting on our stuff to get here, because it will include my VHS-to-DVD dubbers and maybe let me address some issues I've had with my archiving and cataloging efforts. The trip and the move have already delayed my commentary on the second season of "Doctor Who," but I discussed second-season episode "The Story and the Engine" which I found to be confusing. Also, comments on four "My Hero Academia" movie releases, which I watched with Ralph ahead of our move. SPREADING THE WORD! We're hitting the streets this week for a double-dose of mid-80s Linda Blair exploitation flicks! We're covering SAVAGE ISLAND, a cobbled-together amalgam of two sleazy women-in-prison movies with a tacked-on Blair wraparound, and as a bonus, we're covering the non-Empire film SAVAGE STREETS, a teen revenge flick that encapsulates the state of Blair's post-EXORCIST career. Les, Kurt, and Jason finally start recording after Les is distracted by husbands who hate their actor wives. Then we learn that Kurt wants to give the White Lotus lady boy speech at his class reunion and Les bout a book about veganism autographed by Linda Blair in the 90's. Plus Jason questions why there is Blac Chyna news about why she doesn't need to share news about herself. Then, it's time to go down into the airtight bunker of Lifetime's Sins of My Husband. Is the Park Ranger Academy for the Dramatic Arts handing out a bunch of PhD's during this movie? Hell yes, and one of them is going to a Coolio-quoting gay Bela Legosi and his crank! Everybody's feelin' groovy, because this week we're traveling way back to 1970 with bassist/vocalist Ron Flynt and guitarist/vocalist Steve Allen from legendary power poppers 20/20! Aside from remembering the staggering number of great records released during our year of focus, we celebrate the release of 20/20's new album Back to California, their first LP in over 25 years, out now on Spyderpop / Big Stir Records. Whether you're a newcomer to the band or an ardent fan of their classics like "Yellow Pills", "Cheri", "Remember The Lightning", and "Nuclear Boy", prepare to fall in love with the hooks n' harmonies of the new record, which hearkens back to their roots but maintains a fresh and modern sound. Plus, Steve and Ron talk about feeling the magic again, reminisce about the early days of the band, the recording of their signature track (1979's "Yellow Pills"), hanging out in Phil Spector's mansion, dancing with Linda Blair, rubbing shoulders with Hollywood stars at Sunset Strip haunts...and did O3L turn into the High Times podcast?!? Finally, we give the guys their belated induction into the Power Pop Hall of Fame...which we're in no way authorized to do, but they weren't aware they were already in it! Great stories, lots of laughs, and amazing music...turns out hindsight really is 20/20! Thanks to Rex Broome and Christina Bulbenko from Big Stir Records for the introduction. We've got Linda Blair! Pioneer Scream Queen, 70s and 80s Hollywood Trailblazer, Golden Globe Winner, cult classic icon, animal rights activist and humanitarian, Linda joins us for an exclusive conversation about her path to self discovery in a terrifying lane she navigated solo, carving her way towards light and purpose. Linda and Fritz share a history in philanthropy. They catch up on The Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation, dedicated to rehabilitating and rehoming abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We then trace Linda's groundbreaking history from her work as a child model to landing the controversial role of a child possessed by the devil in the film adaption of THE book of the decade, The Exorcist. Linda then faced the bumpy task of discovering self while convincing friends, fans and reporters that she was not actually demonic. She went on to define the message-driven TV movie genre in Sarah T. Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic and Born Innocent. But how could she say no to Exorcist II, co-starring Richard Burton?Raised in the Protestant faith, charity, benevolence and helping the voiceless were ingrained in Linda from childhood. For the past several decades she has been dedicated to animal welfare and she shares the most pressing concerns on that front: 1) Corporate owned veterinary clinics pricing pet owners out of spaying and neutering, 2) Mass euthanasia in dog shelters and 3) The outlawing and extermination of breeds deemed to be “dangerous.”We delve into Linda's experience on the set of The Exorcist where much of what was asked of her by director, William Friedkin was not healthy or appropriate for a child actor. She did share a close bond with writer, William Peter Blatty and she describes how Max Von Sydow would often hear the lines given to Linda, stop the scene, pull Billy Friedkin aside and say, “What are you doing!?” But Friedkin got what he wanted, a terrifyingly controversial film that stunned and horrified the world. A household name since the age of 14, Linda matured into a young actress with head turning, Rick themed romantic relationships, such as Rick Springfield and Rick James! Linda shares how her Pumpkin headed turn on The Masked Singer helped her solve a medical mystery. She describes her heroic rescue of 51 dogs after Hurricane Katrina and she takes on a challenging round of IMDB Roulette. Plus, Fritz and Weezy are recommending Bad Sisters on Apple TV + and the Telepathy Tapes podcast.Path Points of Interest:Linda BlairLinda Blair on WikipediaLinda Blair on InstagramLinda Blair on FacebookGoing Vegan by Linda BlairLinda Blair World Heart FoundationLinda Blair World Heart Foundation on FacebookLinda Blair World Heart Foundation on IGLinda Blair World Heart Foundation on YouTubeThe Telepathy TapesBad Sisters Trailer

“What an excellent day for an exorcism.” We watched the mother of all horror movies “The Exorcist” with our dear friend Espie Quintero and the power of Christ is compelling us to sleep with the lights on! This movie has a reputation for being one of the scariest horror films ever made and for good reason. We go into just how dang REAL it all comes across. Something about that ‘70s style of filmmaking - this thing feels like a documentary in parts. The realism also extends to the subject matter and everyone's personal thoughts on ghosts, demons, the afterlife and religion in general. I mean leave it to the Catholics to still have a protocol for exorcising demons in the 20th century (and beyond most likely). Linda Blair was only 13 when she was nominated for an Oscar for her work here, but it's really Ellen Burstyn that owns this movie. Chris MacNeill (Burstyn) is a mother at her wits end when no one will help her clearly possessed daughter. Let's be real - a demon thrashing around a kid is scary but I defy you to stand in the way of a mother trying to protect her kid when no one else will. On top of all that we also get Ellen in some fierce ‘70s fashions - oversized aviator sunglasses anyone?
