Jerry and John made a trip to Independence, Missouri, on Saturday to stop in at the new home for Clint's Comics. Located at 815 N. Noland Rd, it is just four miles north of I-70, which makes it easy to get to. Sharon is still getting the new store in order, so give her another week or two before you rush in to welcome her to the neighborhood. Netflix made like The Godfather and made an offer on Warner Brothers / Discovery that they could not refuse. Of course, we make mention of this because DC Comics has long been a part of Warner Bros. What does it mean to us? Will we be able to read comics on the same app that we are watching Stranger Things on? Will the next James Gunn Superman movie premiere first on streaming? Things are way too early in the process, so we can only speculate at this point. But trust us, to get nearly 600 episodes in the can, we must have been doing a lot of speculating along the way. We are just a few weeks away from our next WCPE Book Club read-along, which will be Fantastic Four: Unstable Molecules. Look for it in the app or find it in the dollar bins at your local comic shop. We have our weekly Pick 3 choices, sponsored by our friends at Clint's Comics, plus a look at last week's top ten books sold and a new trivia question. We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you've been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Instagram, or by email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show. The Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! is proudly sponsored by Clint's Comics, 815 N Noland Road in Independence, Missouri. Whether it is new comics, trade paperbacks, action figures, statues, posters, or T-shirts, the friendly and knowledgeable staff can help you find exactly what you need. You should also know that Clint's Comics has the most extensive collection of back issues in the metro area. If you need to find a particular book to complete a title's run, head to Clint's or check out their website at clintscomics.com. Tell them that the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! sent you.

Uncanny X-Men #186 — “LifeDeath” — remains one of the boldest creative swings in Marvel history. Instead of battles and villains, Chris Claremont and Barry Windsor-Smith deliver a quiet, emotionally devastating story about identity, trauma, and the cost of rebuilding yourself after everything is taken away.COMICS ROT YOUR BRAIN! is a deep dive into ‘80s comics (plus a few notable exceptions). In this weekly podcast, screenwriters Steven Bagatourian (AMERICAN GUN) and Christopher Derrick (STAR TREK: PICARD) discuss their favorite books, runs, and creators from the Bronze Age.In this video, Chris examines why LifeDeath is such a groundbreaking moment in the X-Men's long, fabled canon — from Storm's loss of her powers, to Forge's haunted past, to the painterly visual language Windsor-Smith used to redefine what superhero comics could look like in the 1980s.If you love the X-Men, Storm, Forge, Claremont's writing, Windsor-Smith's art, or deep-dive comics analysis, this issue is essential, and its legacy still echoes today.#XMen #MarvelComics #comichistoryDrop us a line! In this episode of Comic Stripped, we dive into one of the wildest comic-to-film gaps ever: Victor Santos' silent, minimalist noir Polar: It Came From the Cold and Netflix's loud, neon-soaked action flick Polar starring Mads Mikkelsen. The comic is all style and silence—sharp lines, stark colors, and a cold assassin drifting through a dying world. The movie throws that out for explosive violence, cartoon villains, and a full John Wick makeover. We break down how the same character becomes two completely different stories, why the adaptation swings so hard away from the source, and what this says about Hollywood's obsession with recreating Wick-style hits without understanding what makes them work.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

This week's episode, Laurie (@anylaurie16) made more on a weekend of shows than she expected. Jackie (@jackiekashian) explains that, in the industry, they call that a "bump." Laurie illustrates that you can be bored without yawning. And hey, to all you sexually active young women comedians, your aunt Jackie wants to ask, "Are you having a good time?" Comedian Zarna Garg joins Joanna Coles to explore why she avoids political comedy, the pressures of Indian-American family expectations, and the surprising ways the Indian community relates to figures like Trump and Modi. Along with her daughter Zoya, Zarna traces the intersection of heritage, ambition, and representation, from Bollywood-inspired bravado to the delicate balance of supporting daughters marrying across faiths. Along the way, Garg reflects on mentorship, collaboration with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and the lessons that have shaped her career. It's a conversation that's at once personal, political, and profoundly revealing—how does heritage shape ambition in America? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
