Good evening, and thank you for joining us in our Wednesday evening service. Tonight Sister Janet is beginning to teach on the birth of Jesus. She brought up the reactions of the Father of John the Baptist when he had an encounter with an angel, and was filled with unbelief. We also discussed the same event unfolding with Mary the Mother of Jesus, and having the nearly the same reaction as the preacher, but she was young, and ignorant. Welcome to Bismarck Church of God. Tonight during the Bible study Sister Janet will be focusing on the gifting of other tongues, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. This topic is a great one because it something that can and should be used to our advantage. When we pray in other tongues, or allow the Holy Ghost to pray through us, that allows pray straight to the God, and the Devil doesn't know how to defend against this. When you pray in tongues the Devil doesn't know what, who, or when you are praying about. This is a gift from God that he gave to us that we can stand above the enemy and his plans. Tonight Sister Janet was teach on prophecy, prophetic utterance, and the office of the prophet. In the church these are all important to know because it is one of the many times where the LORD is trying to inform the church or anyone of something that he deems worthy of knowing, or passing onto someone specific. The one thing that is important to know is that according to Amos 3:7 KJV, "Surely the LORD God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." In the ESV of Amos 3:7, "For the LORD God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets." The thing that most people do not yet understand is that the prophet is speaking on behalf of the LORD, and the things that is told of him or her to say at the time. The LORD often uses prophets to tell of events that could be yet to come as signs, and wonders that he is the LORD God Almighty. In this episode Sister Janet Whitaker is teaching on the Wisdom, Knowledge of God, and the discerning of spirits through the Holy Ghost. This teaching is so powerful and enlightening in the knowledge and wisdom of God. Everyone that was in attendance gave their inputs and what they thought it could mean. It is very powerful, and the discussion are great. Long ago the church (the people in the church) decided to vote out the Holy Spirit, and then after he left they were surprised when all the power, miracles, signs and wonders left. The Church is being reunited with the Holy Ghost, and it is good because the time we are entering into, the power of the Holy Spirit is very much needed. The church had forgotten the power of the Spirit of God, and slowly we are coming back to the knowledge through the Grace, and Mercies of God. In this episode Sister Janet is teaching about the parable of talents, first going over the parable itself. Then she proceeds to discuss what this story means, and how it is still relevant to this day. Discussing how many of the people in the Church of Jesus Christ have been gifted with talents whether it be preaching, teaching, or a skill that you have been given. Defines in this lesson that it is important that you realize what your gift is, and then once you know what your going to do with it. Are you going to be like the first, second, or third servant? The choice is yours what you want to do with the talents that have been given to you, but remember whatever you choose to do with them you will be expected to explain what you did to multiply, or hide the talents you have been given. This is a powerful teaching and I had learned a lot from it. Just uploading it because I think that this is something that everyone in the world needs to hear. In this Wednesday night Bible study Sister Janet goes into detail about the relationship (friendship) that God had with Abraham. God knew Abraham to the point where when he was pondering his plans to deal with something, he was wondering if he should let Abraham in on his plans. God knew what Abraham would say, but he wanted to go down and ask him his opinion. If Abraham would have stood in the gap until they got down to one righteous that he would have spared the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah. Thoughts on the truth and what it holds. The truth is a power that Jesus used on a regular basis. Jesus always speaks truth and that is why the leaders of his time couldn't touch him even up to the crucifixion. In this Bible Study the thoughts that had come to my mind, and advice that God had placed in my head were discussed. The two main things I want to take away from this is that Fear is a dangerous thing if not handled with Gods help, and faith is the only way to be saved.
