This weeks episode scenario is a bit different! After giving a tour of the Alan Turing Institute to Tiago and Marco and discussing some future research, he decided to sit down and have a chat on a bunch of different topics with Tiago and Vitor. The audio on this episode isn’t as clean as our previous episodes as we were sitting at a bar, but the conversation was great fun! Enjoy!

This weeks episode is a bit different. For a while I’ve been avoiding inviting infosec professionals to the podcast(my industry of work and expertise). I wanted to try to do something different (on a personal level) with the podcast, that allowed me to take a break from information security. This week however, it was absolutely inevitable for me to not do an infosec episode. I was at Bsides Lisbon as an organiser, and looking around me there were some of the coolest people in infosec, and some that I admire greatly. Vitor Domingos (@vd on twitter) joined me this week in interviewing this fantastic group of people.
On this weeks episode, I interview Natalie Pistunovich, a backend developer who moved to Kenya and came to the episode to tell us about her experience developing for countries where internet bandwith and data caps are extremely limited.
Today I talk with Christina Kehl, the princess of swiss fintech. She is an entrepreneur that works with government and corporates to fight for startup rights and improvement of the ecosystem. I met Christina about 4 years ago when we were both working at a fintech startup here in Switzerland, after that she went on to create Knip, a startup that at the time was a big revolution for the insurance industry, and one of their first steps into mobile and digitisation here in Switzerland. After leaving Knip, Christina and a few others decided to open SFS — Swiss Fintech Startups, a not-for-profit organization that works to build a better ecosystem for startups here in Switzerland. Topics discussed in this episode: -Banking -Startups in Switzerland -Open Banking vs Banking in Switzerland -Cryptocurrencies and banking in Switzerland
Joining us today we have Alice “MaliceDaFirenze” Ruppert. A game developer for Airconsole, book writer and horse rider. I met Alice a few months ago via Martin Splitt in a developer conference. By following her on twitter I learned more about her super interesting hobby of “attempting to write a novel” and since then I learned more and more about this as she regularly tweets about it!
On this weeks episode we touch on the following topics: -Cloud computing and it’s evolution -Information security and privacy -Cyberinsurance and the grievances I currently have when explaining to insurance companies how it needs to evolve -Digital assistants and voice assisted computing -Brexit
GoingDigital is something I’ve been thinking about for a while. While my life tends to be pretty boring (if I can have books, a whisky and cigar I’m a happy guy) I tend to meet some really interesting people. This is my attempt at asking interesting questions to interesting people. Our first episode is an interview with Marco Silva.
