Welcome to another Friday edition of The Rizzuto Show — your favorite daily dose of chaos disguised as a comedy podcast. Today's episode kicks off with something rare for us: actual useful information. There's a major iPhone spyware warning making the rounds, and yes, we strongly recommend updating your phone unless you want your personal data casually hanging out with the Russian mafia. No big deal.Of course, we can't stay serious for long. Within minutes, we're deep into one of the most heated debates of the year: the Mount Rushmore of Canadian rock bands. Rush is a lock, but after that? Things get… aggressive. Nickelback enters the chat, Bryan Adams gets defended way too passionately, and somehow we all leave more confused than when we started. It's the kind of argument that proves this comedy podcast is less about answers and more about yelling confidently. From there, we roll into “Crap On Celebrities,” where we cover everything from ACDC health updates to Nine Inch Nails rumors, Dave Grohl's very public therapy era, and Jelly Roll dropping motivation that honestly makes us feel like we should go for a walk… but probably won't.Then things take a turn into reality TV chaos. A Bachelorette season gets completely scrapped after some pretty wild footage surfaces, and we try to wrap our heads around how you go from “Will you marry me?” to “This show no longer exists.” It's messy, it's uncomfortable, and naturally, we talk about it way too long.We also hit rock band logos, Fox Theatre stories (including a tequila-fueled season ticket decision that aged exactly how you'd expect), Chuck Norris being indestructible, and John Stamos getting his first tattoo at 62 — because apparently we're all just figuring things out as we go.It's loud, it's all over the place, and it's exactly what you expect from a Friday comedy podcast with The Rizzuto Show.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
-- On the Show -- Donald Trump escalates the conflict with Iran as a strike on Qatar's Ras Laffan energy facility sends global gas and oil prices surging -- FBI Director Kash Patel struggles through congressional questioning about firing Iran counterintelligence experts and basic voter fraud investigations, -- Donald Trump confuses economic data and makes a bizarre Pearl Harbor remark to a Japanese leader while misrepresenting the economic fallout from his Iran conflict -- Donald Trump faces rising political danger as surging oil, diesel, and fertilizer prices drive inflation across farming, transportation, and food costs that could define his presidency -- Republican donors and party figures quietly organize around Marco Rubio for 2028 as Donald Trump tests support between Rubio and JD Vance -- A Pennsylvania voter who supported Donald Trump three times now angrily denounces him over rising costs, signaling potential cracks in Trump's loyal voter base -- A longtime conservative influencer who once backed Donald Trump declares that MAGA is dead and says she no longer recognizes the president -- The Friday Feedback segment -- On the Bonus Show: The staggering costs of the war in Iran, and much more...
A MAGA civil war erupts over Trump's war with Iran, JD Vance tries to distance himself, and Megyn Kelly accuses her former Fox News colleague of having a micropenis. Seriously! On today's show, Tommy and Ben cover the many ways Trump's war with Iran is going off the rails. The death toll and economic costs keep increasing, America's closest allies are refusing pleas to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and a resignation letter from a former top Trump administration official suggests that Trump lied when he claimed Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States. Then they dig into the conservative media battle over Iran, US support for Israel, and the future of MAGA; a New York Post report claiming the new Supreme Leader of Iran is gay, Trump's imperialist fantasy about “taking Cuba” and the pathetic exit of Trump's least diplomatic former diplomat, Ric Grenell. Finally, Ben speaks to Middle East analyst and author Kim Ghattas about Israel's war against Lebanon and the displacement of over 1 million people in the country.Preorder Ben's book All We Say: The Battle for American Identity: A History in 15 Speeches and subscribe to his Substack here.
Joe Kent – someone you've probably never heard of – made huge news on Tuesday. He was the director of the National Counterterrorism Center – until he posted a resignation letter on Twitter. In it, Kent wrote directly to President Trump: “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.” This is the first major defection from the administration over the war – and it might not be the last. For more on Kent's letter and what it means for the MAGA Right, we spoke with Jonathan Lemire. He's a staff writer at The Atlantic and co-host of Morning Joe on MSNOW.And in headlines, the SAVE America Act is creating real problems for Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Chief Justice John Roberts speaks out against targeting judges, and FBI Director Kash Patel hosts his own version of a meet and greet at Quantico.Show Notes: Check out Jonathan's reporting – www.theatlantic.com/author/jonathan-lemire Call Congress – 202-224-3121 Subscribe to the What A Day Newsletter – https://tinyurl.com/y4y2e9jy What A Day – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/@whatadaypodcast Follow us on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/crookedmedia/ For a transcript of this episode, please visit crooked.com/whataday

On this week's DMZ, Bill Scher and Matt dive into the chaotic mess that is Donald Trump's second term. We discuss the following:— Trump's Iran War Escalation & Quagmire Risks — The U.S. military campaign has deepened into potential endless conflict, fears of Iran mining the Strait of Hormuz, spiking oil prices to extreme levels, asymmetric retaliation, and no clear exit strategy despite Trump's boasts of quick victory.— SAVE Act Push & Voter Restrictions — Trump fixates on passing the SAVE America Act (requiring strict ID like passports or birth certificates for voting, bundled with unrelated trans issues and other GOP priorities) despite slim chances in the Senate. We talk about how it could suppress turnout (ironically hurting low-propensity Republican voters more), and Senate Majority Leader John Thune's resistance to nuking the filibuster.— Signs of GOP Base Unrest & Policy Shifts — The Trump administration is backpedaling on aggressive “mass deportation” rhetoric (White House aides urging focus on “violent criminals”), coupled with the alienation of non-interventionist voices (Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, et al.) over Iran.— Midterm Outlook & Blue Wave Potential — With growing Democratic momentum, coupled with Trump's chaotic presidency, Matt is predicting a Senate flip for Dems.— The 2028 Succession Battle: J.D. Vance vs. Marco Rubio — There are emerging 2028 GOP primary tensions, with Vance (non-interventionist leanings, low-profile amid Iran) vs. Rubio (more prominent on foreign policy, aligned with strikes) leading the speculation. — And MUCH more!Subscribe to Matt Lewis on Substack: https://mattklewis.substack.com/Support Matt Lewis at Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/mattlewisFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MattLewisDCTwitter: https://twitter.com/mattklewisInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattlewisreels/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVhSMpjOzydlnxm5TDcYn0A– Who is Matt Lewis? –Matt K. Tune in here to this Friday’s edition of the Brett Winterble Show! Brett kicks off the program with Pete Kaliner for this edition of The Hangover as they discuss media narratives surrounding the conflict with Iran and the political reactions playing out on cable news. The conversation begins with commentary on remarks from Pete Hegseth criticizing how outlets frame the Middle East conflict, arguing that headlines often exaggerate chaos instead of highlighting Iran’s weakening position. Brett and Kaliner also poke fun at what they describe as predictable media reactions, including controversy over Hegseth’s use of the phrase “no quarter” during wartime rhetoric. Later Brett continues the conversation about foreign policy, domestic politics, and emerging security concerns. Responding to messages from callers and listeners across the region, Brett addresses criticism of Democratic leaders such as Chuck Schumer and Adam Schiff, while also touching on debates over immigration, political accountability, and the direction of the country. The discussion briefly turns to security alerts after George Mason University temporarily closed its Fairfax campus library following bomb threats, prompting Brett to reflect on how threats and disruptions are increasingly used to create fear even when they don’t lead to actual attacks. The Tim Conway Jr. Show Hour 1 (3.6) Tim Conway Jr. battles real-time computer chaos on the air, and—like any proper Conway spiral—the tech trouble somehow detours into the Apostles’ Creed and a laugh-out-loud breakdown of The Lion King opening: “Look, there is a lion… OMG! It’s a lion.” The crew also hits a modern-life curiosity: the upside-down pineapple and its discreet reputation as a symbol tied to swinging/consensual non-monogamy—because of course that ends up in the mix. Plus, Stephanie Lydecker, host of the iHeart hit “True Crime Tonight,” joins to talk about the show’s success and its new home on KFI every Sunday night (7–9pm). Then Tom Quigley, Santa Anita Park’s VIP Player Concierge and respected handicapper, breaks down what to watch for at the track and how his daily seminars help bettors think smarter. And to wrap it up: the L.A. Marathon is here, the forecast looks fantastic, and the weekend vibes are officially locked in. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

"This could be one of the biggest busts we've ever seen on Wall Street," warns Chris Whalen, Chairman of Whalen Global Advisors. In this interview with Daniela Cambone, Whalen unravels how the private credit market has become a ticking time bomb for the financial system. He explains how private equity firms are purchasing insurance companies and, instead of taking a conservative approach to investing, are using cheaper Federal Home Loan Bank advances to make riskier investments, putting retirees' money in harm's way. Citing recent defaults in the sector, including issues at Blue Owl, he warns that it will be "quite a mess when it really unfolds." Whalen also offers a solution for investors, stating, "That's why metals are so important, Daniela. Metals are an act of refusal. Despite saying “I believe glyphosate causes cancer” a few weeks ago, RFK Jr quickly pivoted when his boss declared an executive order calling for the ramping up of glyphosate under a 75-year-old defense production act that also happens to give immunity to Bayer, the parent company of Monsanto. MAHA activists immediately went into a frenzy, shocked that their tallow daddy would betray them like this. Rafe is back from Trailer Trash Tammy's cruise and apparently spent the week testing the limits of international waters, roulette tables, and common sense. This comedy podcast episode kicks off with cruise shenanigans that include “messing with the locals” (nicely), a leather hat vendor lighting merchandise on fire to prove authenticity, and a surprise invitation to join the Blackfoot Nation — yes, seriously. From there, it spirals the way only we can spiral. There's a full breakdown of cruise jail being so packed they had to put a guy on house arrest. We try (unsuccessfully) to figure out how many people the brig actually holds, whether stand-up sets for inmates at sea are allowed, and how you even explain to your family that you got locked up on a themed cruise. Then comes the roulette meltdown. Rafe turns a complimentary $50 casino chip into $1,600 in about ten minutes, gathers a crowd chanting “LET IT RIDE,” achieves what can only be described as temporary Golden God status… and then gives it all back in one spin. It's the kind of confidence you only get when you're damp from jumping in the pool fully clothed and think you've cracked probability itself. It's also the kind of chaos that makes this comedy podcast what it is.We also get into spring break travel insanity (171 million people flying?!), Southwest Airlines losing its identity, and Meta smart glasses possibly recording your life for strangers in another hemisphere to review. Technology is amazing. Also horrifying. Mostly both. And because life likes tonal whiplash, we cover a serious and disturbing local story that reminds everyone to stay alert and look out for each other. It's real talk mixed with sarcastic humor, which is basically our brand at this point. If you like your comedy podcast with cruise fights in moomoos, casino delusion, pop culture commentary, travel tips, weird news, and a little St. Louis edge, you're in the right place.Welcome back to the chaos.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

With Ayatollah being taken out and Iran responding with fiery rhetoric, the geopolitical stakes have never been higher. The fallout ignites fierce debate at home — with Sen. Andy and Brendan! went LIVE on YouTube for a Victory Monday morning recording following a Ballfrogs win over Jupiter Links late Sunday night. Andy is buzzing now that the Frogs have locked up the number one seed in the TGL playoffs despite the best efforts of "Tom Sim" and Max Homa. This turned out to be a loaded weekend of pro golf with national opens across the globe and a Cognizant Classic that absolutely delivered. Shane Lowry found the water twice in "The Bear Trap," blowing a four-shot lead on the final three holes at PGA National. The Salty Boy, Nico Echavarria, came up with a birdie on the 17th to take the lead and eventually secure his third PGA Tour win. Andy and Brendan discuss Lowry's collapse and debate whether he'll find himself in another position to win on the PGA Tour any time soon. Lowry, who hasn't won a solo event in the U.S. since 2015, had a win probability of over 96% standing on the 16th tee before being the first player to hit it in the water on Sunday. Brendan gives him props for speaking to the media immediately after his round and sharing that he wanted to win in front of his daughter for the first time. Following an epic finish - and despite a poor setup at PGA National - Andy runs through the Tour's schedule and puts the Cognizant in a tier above many Signature Events and all three playoff venues this year. PJ shares an update on the yearlong "Brooks Koepka vs. Mules" contest after Koepka's first top ten finish of the season. Is the money deficit already too big for the Mules to make up? Andy and Brendan then run through results from the rest of the week, hitting on the South African Open, New Zealand Open, and the Argentina Open, where winners and top finishers earned a spot at Royal Birkdale later this year. In news, the USGA had a massive Saturday news dump in which they awarded the 2045(!!!) U.S. Open to Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. Who knows if this podcast will exist in 19 years, but these two midwesterners are excited for the national championship to return to America's heartland. Things wrap up with some TGL chatter recapping the first overtime match of 2026 and plenty of Jason Kelce exposure on the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
