MATURE SUBJECT MATTER WARNING – During this week’s inspirational chat, our special guest Daryl Talbot and I talk about (among many things!) domestic violence, and Daryl demonstrates incredible courage to tell her own story. If this discussion is triggering for you in any way, for any reason, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a pastoral team member for support. Likewise this is my encouragement if you, or someone you know is in the midst of suffering any kind of abuse or violence, and needs help – again please reach out to someone you know who can help, or through Lifeline (www.lifeline.org.au) where you will find all manner of resources and helpful contact information for people who can help. Did anyone amongst the good folks of the King’s Community even know that sitting quietly with us most weeks is someone who has achieved “All-World-Athlete” status? Introducing Daryl Talbot – Mother, Grandmother, South African, Teacher…world class Iron Man Triathlete! This was an amazing, and at times deeply moving conversation about life, sport, God, and community. Daryl’s life is a testimony to the character quality of resilience. She’s learned to push herself beyond all sorts of limitations to achieve some truly remarkable feats of endurance and competition. Enjoy listening to what it is that drives someone to put themselves repeatedly through such incredibly tough challenges!

There’s all sorts of fun, and all sorts to think about from this great hour’s chat. Enjoy!
