PCSing isn't just about moving boxes or checking off a to-do list. It's about navigating uncertainty, waiting on timelines, and learning how to move forward when you don't have all the answers yet. In this first episode of the PCS Survival Series, we're starting at the very beginning: The Waiting Game. That space between knowing a move is coming… and actually having orders in hand. It's the part where: • You can't fully plan • You don't have clear timelines • And everything feels a little up in the air For many military spouses, it's one of the most mentally and emotionally exhausting parts of the entire process. In this episode, we talk about: • Why uncertainty feels so difficult during a PCS • The mindset shift from control → acceptance • How to make plans (without holding too tightly to them) • Letting go of perfection, especially when it comes to your home and belongings • Why your nervous system needs support during transition seasons • And how to stay grounded when nothing feels certain If you're in the middle of a PCS (or know one is coming), this episode is for you. Renaissance English History Podcast: A Show About the Tudors
You think office politics are bad? Imagine your entire career depending on whether the queen liked how you handed her a towel.Lady in waiting sounds like a decorative job. It wasn't. The women of the Tudor privy chamber controlled physical access to the most powerful person in England, and in Tudor political life, controlling the door meant controlling everything. A quiet word at the right moment, a letter passed along or strategically delayed, an introduction made or withheld. These women were intelligence assets, political operators, and the invisible machinery behind some of the biggest decisions of the era. Today we're going inside the system: the org chart nobody wrote down but everyone understood, the dramatic power shift that happened when the privy chamber went from Henry VIII's court to the queens regnant, and what happened to the women who got it spectacularly wrong. Including Lady Katherine Grey, who secretly married a man with no royal permission and triggered a political crisis that landed multiple people in the Tower. And Lettice Knollys, who married Elizabeth I's favorite and was reportedly told there was but one sun in the sky and one queen in England. And then there's Blanche Parry, who had been with Elizabeth since she rocked her cradle, and who figured out the only blueprint that actually worked: be so indispensable that removing you was unthinkable. If you want to go deeper, pick up Nicola Clark's The Waiting Game, which is linked below. In the final hour, Mike Mulligan and David Haugh were joined by NBC 5 reporter Paris Schutz to react to the Bears stadium bill stalling in the Illinois House as lawmakers adjourned the spring session. After that, Mully and Haugh reacted to Illinois state representative Kam Buckner releasing a statement after the Bears stadium bill stalled.

I'll touch on the other series as the Timberwolves show some fight, the Cavaliers try to even their series and the Lakers avoid a sweep of their own. This week is all about the waiting… and waiting… and more waiting. From long lines at the hot new coffee shop to life's bigger moments that require patience (which we're all definitely great at, right?), Anjelah and Danielle break down the highs, lows, and mild meltdowns in between. They get into why waiting can drive us a little crazy, but also how it can force us to slow down and actually notice what's around us. Plus, nothing hits quite like waiting for the beat to drop.
Timing isn't just important when selling a law firm. It can make or break the entire deal. In this episode, Victoria Collier breaks down one of the most common and costly mistakes law firm owners make: waiting too long to sell. While some attorneys focus on rapid growth, others fall into the opposite trap, holding on past the ideal window. The result? Declining value, fewer buyers, and deal structures that become increasingly unfavorable. If you've ever thought "I'll deal with it later," this conversation will push you to rethink your timing strategy. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why there is a specific window when your firm is most attractive to buyers The key indicators that signal your firm is in a strong position to sell What happens inside a firm when an owner waits too long and why buyers notice immediately How declining revenue, weak systems, and team instability impact valuation Why buyers focus on future potential, not past success How the buyer pool shrinks and deal terms worsen over time The hidden risk sellers take on when deals shift to earnouts or extended transitions Why planning your exit before you feel ready leads to better outcomes Key Takeaway The best time to start thinking about selling your law firm is long before you are ready to walk away. Strong transitions do not happen by chance. They are designed. Waiting until burnout, exhaustion, or decline sets in does not just limit your options. It actively reduces the value you have worked so hard to build. About Victoria Collier Victoria Collier is a seasoned attorney, entrepreneur, and expert in law firm sales and valuations. With a background in law and accounting, including prior military service and CPA training, she brings a unique perspective to the financial side of business valuations. She helps transform law firms into more valuable and sellable businesses while guiding attorneys through life after law. We want to hear from you! Series: Judgement
Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. The tabloid story of the day was surrounding Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini from The Athletic. Mike couldn't too much about the situation himself, but said as much as he could. 15 days away from the NFL Draft and the Steelers have no indication on what is happening with Aaron Rodgers, which feels a whole lot like last year. How much attention does Rodgers want before he makes his decision? Mike isn't sure if he will be in town for the draft, which he hasn't attended in about a decade because his duties that night are easier to perform from home.
Rich weighs in on the Pittsburgh Steelers awaiting a decision from Aaron Rodgers on his playing future and if running it back with the 4-time NFL MVP is the wisest course of action. FOX Sports Analyst Dean Blandino and Rich discuss the possibility of replacement referees in the NFL next season, the newest NFL rules including the expansion of Replay Assist to assess flags for penalties missed by officials on the field, which UFL rules and policies the NFL should consider adopting, why the NFL is hanging on to its antiquated Onside Kick option, and weighs in on the success and pitfalls of MLB's new ABS system.
