Send us a textA cold morning, a prayer tent, and 50 turkeys handed out on Xenia Avenue set the tone for a raw, grateful conversation about work, purpose, and the post-frame craft. We open up about burnout and recovery, then connect that honesty to practical steps any shed, steel, or pole barn pro can use to grow in 2026. If you've ever felt spread thin by sales, installs, family schedules, and the weight of expectations, this one meets you where you are and hands you a plan.We share why community service sharpened our focus, how the “honesty tour” became a daily operating system, and where industry alliances create real leverage. The National Frame Builders Association (NFBA) is a door we're walking through together: educational series starting in January, a focused run-up to the NFBA Expo in Oklahoma City, and on-the-ground conversations with builders, suppliers, and innovators. Expect clear takes on tools that reduce friction—IdeaRoom for 3D configuration, SmartBuild for takeoffs, smarter CRM follow-ups, local SEO that actually moves the needle, and simple content systems that capture trust before the first phone call.We also spotlight mental health with the 988 Lifeline and a straightforward reminder to reach out if you're struggling. The trades are demanding, winter is real, and you don't have to white-knuckle it alone. Our commitment for 2026 is firm: do more of what works, cut what doesn't, and repeat until it sticks. If you're ready to turn gratitude into momentum, map your top three wins from 2025, three habits you'll double down on, and three misses you'll retire—and tell someone so it counts. If this conversation fuels you, follow the show, subscribe on YouTube, and share it with a builder who needs a nudge. There are names we will never forget from the Bondi attacks. On today's show, Jessie, Holly and Amelia want to honour just a few of the many heroes who risked — and in some cases lost — their lives trying to save others in the worst terror attack ever to happen on Australia's soil. And we want to tell you a little bit about what it feels like in Sydney, and at Bondi at the moment. Not everyone is able to turn their attention elsewhere this week, but for those who can and want to, we're having some other conversations, too. Like, Taylor Swift, Timothee Chalamet and the era of being able to say, "Yeah, I'm pretty good at this" without cringe. And, the power of gathering. Being together has never felt more urgent, but at whose house, and who's bringing the cake? Even if you hate hosting, it's hard to avoid at this time of year and you know what makes it better? Good guests. We tell you how to be one, and Amelia shares a thank-you note rule that impressed us all. John Killick is one of Australia's most infamous criminals. Why? Because in 1999, he escaped from Sydney’s Silverwater Correctional Complex on a helicopter. Killick was on remand for armed robbery, and his girlfriend at the time, Lucy Dudko, hijacked a helicopter, landed it in the prison, and flew him out. In this episode, we speak with John Killick himself about his life of crimes, his days of reform now and that fateful day when he was broken out of prison on a helicopter. In this episode of Well, Claire and Dr Mariam sit down with writer, speaker, visibility activist and influencer Carly Findlay to talk about her inflammatory skin condition, Ichthyosis. For years, we've watched her deal with the pain and frustration through the low moments and quite a few lovely highs too - always with a fabulous outfit. Through it all, she has been educating, entertaining and allowing us into her space so that we might learn how to help those around us with visible conditions. From the exhaustion of constantly educating strangers to the sheer joy of reclaiming her narrative through fashion, Carly has reminded us of the great lesson that we don’t have to hide away just to make others feel comfortable! In this candid conversation, Carly discusses the intersection of rare disease and the medical system, navigating a cancer diagnosis while managing a complex skin condition, and why - even when experiencing chronic pain or a scary diagnosis - we all deserve to feel f*cking fabulous. So wear the bright dress and take up space! THE END BITS All your health information is in the Well Hub. In an extraordinary moment during an already devastating week, the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese interrupted the show live to speak directly to the nation. He shared words of unity and resolve following the anti-Semitic terrorist attack on a Hanukkah celebration, reflecting on the meaning of light over darkness and the strength of Australians coming together in grief and defiance. The Prime Minister also provided an update on Ahmed, the Australian Hero whose bravery saved lives, and honoured other everyday heroes who ran toward danger. We spoke about national unity, community support, blood donations, candlelight vigils, public safety, gun laws, and how Australians move forward without letting fear win. A powerful, emotional conversation about leadership, courage, and the values that define Australia at its best. It's not a usual show today, because it's not a usual day. At sunset on Sunday, at Australia's most famous beach, Australia experienced the worst act of terrorism ever to take place on our soil. As the local Jewish community celebrated the beginning of Chanukah, families gathered around food, face-painting and even a petting zoo for an 'everyone is welcome' opening to the Festival Of Lights. And two men opened fire. Some Outlouders will be directly affected by what happened on Sunday. Others will be far removed but asking how this could happen here in Australia, and what they can do to help. Some will just want to talk it over. Today Mia Freedman, Jessie Stephens, Holly Wainwright and Amelia Lester are here to do exactly that. Sunday’s Bondi Beach terrorist attack, which targeted a Hanukkah celebration, was the worst mass shooting in Australia since Port Arthur. Some in the Jewish community have been fearing a deadly attack for years. This episode features the stories of witnesses, such as reporter Elias Visontay, and mother-of-three Jacqui Cohen, who took cover with her 12-year-old daughter.
