Have you ever just gone on a date by yourself? Like gone out to eat, gone to the movies or just taken a walk around the block - by yourself. This is just one of the practical ways we can build our self-reliance muscle!
We all go through hardships and traumas to a certain degree, therefore, we all need some kind of healing. But healing is not easy and definitely not pretty! Many adults go through life with hurts from their past and as a result they simply exist; they do not thrive nor live life to it's fullest potential! That's why I love what my good friend, Eldis, is doing. Eldis created Hearts on the Table - a non-profit empowerment organization that helps teens learn life skills as well as help them along their healing journey. Things like how to love themselves, educate them on effective communication and help them shift their mindset to more positive thinking. Eldis and her team provide these teens with the tools and resources they need so they can transition into adulthood as healthy, whole adults! On this episode, Eldis shares her own story of hope, what inspired her to start this amazing organization and how we can start loving ourselves RIGHT NOW. If you'd like more information on HOTT, you can connect with them on their website at heartsonthetable.com or on Instagram @heartsonthetable Please let me know what you thought of this episode - I'd love to hear from you! Until next time, Much Love ❤️ - Lauren, @thelaurengreene

Ah! This episode with Gabby Hoyos was such a blessing! We talked all about how to maintain healthy relationships. How do we know if a relationship is healthy? How do we know when it's time to cut some people off? How can we make sure our relationships are authentic? I think we can all agree that relationships can sometimes be a little bit tricky, but as Gabby said, "having an authentic relationship means being willing to love again." No one is perfect and sometimes you'll get hurt. Other times you might do the hurting. But having a healthy relationships means being able to accept forgiveness AND extend forgiveness so that you can continue to grow. There is so much more goodness to this episode, you're just gonna have to take a listen for yourself! ☺️ We pray that you love it and that it blesses you. "No right now, doesn't mean no forever." This was such good advice Nancy gave on today's episode! Nancy Li shared with me her journey of wanting to go into overseas missions and how God took her down another path, but it was far from easy. It was a hard no for her to hear and she went through a period of mourning and waiting. Nancy tells us of how she trusted God to get her through that hard time and how she now does missions in her "backyard"! We pray that this episode would bless you! Maybe you feel like a door has been closed recently and now you're in the waiting place. Be encouraged - a no right now doesn't mean no forever. Trust God. He knows what's best for us! Just a little life update.... :) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At first I wasn't sure if I was going to share this, but that's what life experiences are for, right?! To be shared; to help someone else in their journey. And I don't want to be someone who only "preaches" and talks about faith...I want to be the person to actually live it out! I want to be a living, breathing example of God's goodness and show you that He WILL come through for you. So my prayer for you today is that if your faith is weak, if you aren't sure the outcome, use my story to lean on. Let it bring you hope. I pray that my experience blesses you and reminds you that God is ALWAYS on time! ❤️ You can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter @thelaurengreene.
It was so great having my friend, Ashley, on today's episode. She is the owner of Everafter Beauty Co., a boutique style beauty team that travels to you for the ultimate hair and makeup experience for your big life events. We talked about why she started Everafter Beauty Co., her 1st year in business and her passion for cosmetology. I think a common factor between many entrepreneurs is thinking that their niche is overly-saturated and that there isn't any room for them. Ashley struggled with this a little bit too and shared this motto (that I loved), "hustle and heart will set you apart." Her hope for Everafter Beauty Co. is that her clients would see her love and passion for cosmetology. You can find out more about Everafter Beauty Co. on their website at www.everafterbeautyco.com and on Instagram @everafterbeauty.co Thank you for tuning in! Much love. ❤️ www.facebook.com/thelaurengreene , Instagram @thelaurengreene

On this episode, I breakdown parts of Psalm 42:11 TPT. Here are the takeaways: 1. "So, I Say To My Soul..." = We are not subject to our emotions or thoughts. We can choose to think better and control our emotions. 2. Being aware of how we feel. We can feel discouraged, angry, mad, sad, frustrated, jealous, but it's important not to sit with those feeling for too long. I also talk about a song from Mosaic called Fountain (I am good). It ties the verse all together, because it speaks on the idea that we are good because God created us in His image and He loves us perfectly. So because of that, we don't have to agree with our emotions or negative mindset, but we can choose to agree with God's love and what He thinks about us! If you enjoyed this episode, I'd love to connect with you more! You can find me on Facebook @ facebook.com/thelaurengreene and in Instagram @thelaurengreene.
