In this episode, I walk you through my journey to understand why people aren't watching women's sports. How do establish and perceive value in our entertainment? How does that make us gravitate towards or away from unfamiliar mediums? Where does "good" and "bad" come from? and are men's and women's sports the SAME??? all these questions and more, in episode four!!! (I rhymed) Also, there's a surprise guest... *cough* Declan Zhang *cough*.

Actress, artist, ghost hunter Danica Jensen joins today's podcast to discuss all things spooky as they relate to ~live events~ aka sports and theater. Where do superstitions come from? Do rituals and curses work? Will Danica ever successfully resurrect Macbeth's spirit or has she been watching high school Shakespeare productions on Youtube in vain? I also get into the gossip on women's soccer twitter that came from the dramatic NWSL Best IX and Second Best IX lists, as well as US Soccer's fun/strange event in New York City to announce Vlatko Andonovski as the new USWNT coach. And I *tried* to go an NYU soccer game. boo!

wow - A potentially *too* academic history of competition in American women's sports. What is competition? Why does it matter? Why are men so afraid that women will take part? I discuss my trip to see Sky Blue play Orlando at Red Bull Arena, the USWNT's October Victory Tour games against South Korea, and how the magic of being seen affects both athletes and actors. All this and more in the second episode of My First Soccer Game.

I'm obsessed with women's soccer and you should be too. A few months ago, I didn't like sports and I never would have imagined arriving here. Then I saw the USWNT win the Women's World Cup and everything changed. I know what you might be thinking: I hate sports and I only like theater!!! or maybe something else. But we are going to figure this out together. Also featured: a discussion of the USWNT's first Victory Tour match against Portugal with my 17-year-old little brother Kobi (icons only).
