In this episode of the Leadership Insights I Wish I Had Known at the Start series, Julia is joined by Alison Coburn, environment leader at Common Purpose leader with over 30 years of experience guiding teams through complex change, often in some of the world's most challenging settings. Alison shares nine fundamentals she wishes she'd known before she started leading. Starting with this vital truth: don't do it alone, build a support network. From building your own “survival kit” of support and stability, to learning the art of delegation, Alison's insights are thoughtful, honest, and deeply grounded in real-life leadership. She also unpacks hard-won lessons like the need for a “hard streak,” the importance of leading upwards, and why communication isn't just a part of leading; it is the very act of leading. Her reflections reveal how moral courage, containing emotions, and picking the right team members shape a leader's impact far more than any textbook theory. Alison's list will make you pause and ask, “What would be on mine?” Tune in, reflect, and perhaps even start your own list of what you wish you'd known at the start. About the Guest: Alison Coburn is one of the founding team of Common Purpose which started in the UK in 1989 and now has over 130,000 alumni globally. She currently leads Common Purpose's environmental programmes. In 2020 Alison founded Sky Blue, a campaign to support leaders around the world who are tackling the environmental crisis. She is passionate about inspiring and supporting leaders to work collaboratively for a sustainable future. She started her career in the arts, then joined the BBC Radio making programmes on social and environmental issues. She is an Ambassador for the Tutu Foundation UK and a Trustee of Well Grounded.

On this week's episode of The MacRumors Show, we take a look at the rumored design of the iPhone 17 "Air" and iPadOS 19's major productivity update. We take a closer look at the rumored design of the ‌iPhone 17‌ "Air," which is expected to introduce a radically thinner design. It is rumored to be as thin as 5.5mm, versus the 8.725mm thickness of the Pro models. It has now emerged that even the buttons will need to be thinner than those used on the other models to simply fit on the device. We also discuss the rumored "Sky Blue" color option for the iPhone 17 Pro and ‌iPhone 17 Pro‌ Max, which bears a resemblance to the "Sierra Blue" of the iPhone 13 Pro. Sky Blue was first introduced on the M4 MacBook Air earlier this year. Moreover, we talk through the purported "Midnight" colorway for the Apple Vision "Air." Meanwhile, iPadOS 19 is expected to bring a major software upgrade to the iPad. The update is expected to make the ‌iPad‌ more "macOS-like," with improved productivity, multitasking, and window management

Color choices are a big factor when it comes to buying a new t-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie. So what are the top 10 trending colors for casual clothing in 2025? We've done the work and compiled a list. What's Trending for T-Shirt Colors in 2025Subtle Disney-inspired fashion isn't just about looking good—it's about feeling good. That's what we're all about at 1923 Main Street, with unique original casual clothing designs inspired by the magic and the travel style of Disney travelers (and more). We know (as do you) that the right outfit can take you from “I'm just here for the rides” to “This is my happily ever after.” Whether you're hitting up the parks in style or just channeling Disney vibes at home when you're not on vacation, 1923 Main Street has everything you need to stay stylish and comfortable. The perfect outfit is a combination of several things, including the perfect t-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie to go with your style. We know that you care about what you wear and that's why we put a lot of thought into each unique piece of clothing that we create. This includes the garment color. In our last episode we share the top colors and styles from 2024 based on what you spent your money on in the shop. This week, we're looking ahead to what will be the hottest and most popular casual clothing colors for t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies in 2025.The Top 10 T-Shirt, Sweatshirt and Hoodie Colors to Watch for in 2025 Whether you like classic white tees or colorful variations, the base color of any casual top sets the tone for the overall style—and will be a big determiner on whether an item fits your outfit. It's a carefully balanced symphony between the graphic design and underlying color. We always do our best to offer light and dark color variations of base top and then adjust the graphic accordingly, without jeopardizing the integrity of the graphic itself. With that in mind, we have crunched the numbers, fashion predictions of style trends data to come up with what promises to be the definitive top 10 list for t-shirt, sweatshirt and hoodie colors in 2025. Which of these colors will you be buying this year? We won't necessarily be following all of these trends, but here's what you can expect to see globally as you shop for casual clothes in 2025. Top 10 Colors for T-Shirts, Sweatshirts and Hoodies in 2025 1. Classic WhiteThe perennial and original classic white isn't going anywhere this year. It's a classic for a reason (both style wise and from a technical design base perspective), so expect to see the classic white t-shirt, sweatshirts and hoodies wherever you shop. 2. CoralCoral is an interesting blend of red, orange and even a little pink. It tends to be more muted in tone but can be very light or very deep colored. Coral base shirts can have color names such as Terracotta, Burnt Sierra, Pastel Red or Salmon. 3. Olive GreenThe greens are an interesting color for casual clothing tops and olive green appears to be trending for 2025. Olive Green tends to be one of the warmer toned greens with a slight yellow undertone.  4. Powder BlueAnother trending color for this year, Powder Blue is one of the lighter blue colors. It's in the range of blue-greens if you look at a color palette. It tends to be a pale blue color that is much lighter than a navy blue, for example. Color names light Sky Blue or Light Blue would be in this spectrum, with something like a Baby Blue being a slightly more vibrant variation. 5. RedReds are looking to be popular again in 2025, following up on the trend that saw vibrant reds sell well in 2024. There are many variations of reds, but fiery reds will be a dominant red this year. Fiery red is a bold red, with a reddish orange tone. It can be a great base layer for the right graphic design, especially if you're looking for a statement top. 6. MustardMustard is an interesting color. It's sometimes a love it or hate it color, but for those who love it, it can be a statement piece. Rich and warm in tone, mustard is a yellowish-brown color, closer to a Dijon mustard if you consider the condiment. It can be a light or dark shade. Mustard falls somewhere between yellow and orange on the color spectrum. This will be an interesting trend to watch, because mustard has often been considered one of the least popular colors for graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies. Will 2025 be a breakout year for mustard? 7. LavenderPurple is often a popular color and lavender is a very pale purple shade. It can appear in quite a range of shades and tones for t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies. Lavender is best described as a blue-tinged pale, light gray-purple color. It differs from lilac, for example, which is more pink where lavender is blue. In our shop, you may see lavenders more on dresses and swimwear. 8. Neutral BeigeThe neutrals is a trend that we clearly saw emerging in 2024 and it is expected to continue in 2025. Neutral Beige colors make a great base for graphics and as an option to a plain white top. Where white t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies are more stark in nature, the neutrals add a little more color structure and softness, making them a very popular addition to any wardrobe. Watch for color names like Sand or Natural for this color style. 9. PinkThe pinks were popular in 2024 and we expect to see this continue into 2025, based on all of the data and color predictions that we reviewed. Light or pale pinks, in particular, are what to watch for this year for many of the same reasons that neutral beige will be popular (but with a little more distinction than a true neutral color). 10. Navy BlueNavy Blue is a very popular base color for t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies and will be a go-to choice for a dark colored top in 2025. Since black did not make the trending list for this year, it's clear that Navy Blue is expected to be a solid replacement for anyone looking for a dark colored hoodie or top this year. Navy Blue can appear almost black, but it has just enough tone that it appears as a more elegant and rich option. These are the top 10 trending colors for 2025. Remember, this doesn't mean that these will be the top 10 selling colors, but it does mean that these colors will be making an appearance as an option (for those that are not perennial favorites), where you many not have seen them before. What are your go-to colors for Disney travel or casual outfits in general? Will you watch for the trends or do you prefer to stick with the tried-and-true staple colors. Contact 1923 Main StreetThank you for listening to the Disney Travel Style Podcast at 1923MainStreet.com.Shop unique and original Disney-inspired clothing, including t-shirts, sweatshirt, hoodies, yoga leggings, dresses, swimwear and more at 1923 Main Street.Follow along on X, Instagram,

In this episode, we discuss her early life as a young musician, and even how she got to have 'Eve Selis Day' in San Diego. She shares some pretty scary cancer stories, which is how she ended up in Nashville, and we discuss how art and trauma are tied to each other. I ask her about some of her previous projects, including Cactus Honey, King's Road, & 3 of Hearts. Finally, we get into her newest album called 'Dark Sky Blue'. Eve shares some of the traumatic events that influenced the songs on this album, and she even lets me play my favorite track from it. Dark Sky Blue is about unconditional love, loss, and the stages of grief. Eve explains all of that, and touches on some of those tragic events; and gives maybe the best answer ever to the age old question "Who is this record for?" Finally, she shares the story of a bald eagle landing on her head during a live performance, and her performing at Abbey Road Studios! We all did some crafts together before heading to the movies to see Migration. I tried a new OPI nail color and loved it. It's called "Pink in Bio" I've completed teaching 2 of 4 classes on the OMG Heel at my LYS and we've already got more than half of the class successfully turning heels. We all had a fabulous time at my cousin Jenny's baby shower. She loved her crochet blanket. I had a lovely visit with my middle-school best friend Maribeth who is very sick. I worked 13 inches before the sleeves (4 inches longer than called for) Goofed up working on front left.  Didn't read the instructions well and I bound off stitches for the underarm on the RS of the piece instead of the WS. Thankfully the rows were very short after that, so ripped back and was able to fix it in less than an hour. Seaming- I seamed the shoulders and then the sides before setting in the sleeve. I should have done it in this order 1) shoulders 2) sleeves, 3) sides. This post from Amy Herzog was helpful re: Setting in Sleeves. Collar- added a row of SC around the collar to make it look a little neater. Finished Project 700g.   On the Needles, Hook or Bobbins   Jenny's Blanket Pattern: Modified Sedge Stitch Blanket by Nicole Mansfield ($2 crochet pattern available on Ravelry) Yarn: Big Twist Value Solids in Sky Blue, Teal, Mint, Cyan, Jade Green and Aqua Hook: I (5.5 mm) Ravelry Project Page Progress: Finished all 5 color-block sections. I am using the 6th color for the border because the blanket was already long enough with 5 colors. The pattern has 2 border options, a scalloped edge & a modified picot edge. The latter is what I was planning but I think instead I'll use a bobble edging. I first used this border on a Cozy Clusters Blanket  (Ravelry project page here). Loonyhiker shared that when she knits and walks she has a lot of interesting conversations because people are fascinated that she can do it.  Deafelis shared the hot tip that Lowes or Home Depot are great places to practice because the aisles are wide and the floors are smooth (so fewer tripping hazards).  Azknitwit noted that an indoor mall might be a great place to practice too!   Finally, continuing with a recent theme about how yarn and how many projects to bring when traveling, Socalknit girl shared a sad cautionary tale of how to recover when disaster strikes the one and only project you brought on vacation.   Thanks for a fun season! Millie was looking for yarn to knit a hat for her dad. We found it in one of the first booths- Plied Yarns. Always great to see Ann Weaver. We did a full loop and went back to purchase yarn. I bought a handsewn chicken potholder set. The Blue Heron Farm (in Vermont) hosted their table for folks to learn Needle Felting. Millie made Ryan a butterfly like the ones she made for us. Thanks to "Auntie Shelly" at Blue Heron for encouraging Millie. I got some great info from Jim Grant from Good Karma Farm about getting going on my Cricular Sock Machine. Check out their video on How to Knit a Sock on Circular Sock Machine for beginners. We got lunch after at The Local. Then Mom and I went back and I bought a few plants, a watering can & a decorative pumpkin from the clearance section. The next Farm Fiber Days at Wayland Farmer's Market is March 3, 2024. Update from Commentator: Mary There's lots of strategizing and discussion about what there is and is not time to finish before the end of PSP.  Relatedly, there is some discussion about the joys of finishing longstanding WIPs even if those projects don't count for pigskin party. There was also recently some discussion on pros and cons of different approaches to provisional cast ons, including a method where you use a stitch saver instead of scrap yarn (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olAZk2tkTus).  Finally, there's been some talk of travel plans including the intense decision making process that crafters go through when they are trying to decide what projects to bring on a trip.  This has included discussion of pros and cons of checking luggage vs. carrying on and some musings about who decided that packing light is a value we should all aspire to anyway. Kristen recently shared a link to a story about monkeyshine hunting.  Its a neat tradition that coincides with lunar new year in Tacoma. https://gritcitymag.com/2020/01/a-little-backstory-on-monkeyshines-in-tacoma/ Here's a highlight from the endzone dance thread: Sandyrlevin completed an amazing sweater with a really detailed octopus on it.
