Follow it while you're at it! @ShelbyJamece To be honest, I have been feeling personally convicted to share the good news pertaining to God being our healer who heals our minds. God is anointing our heads with OIL. Oil of gladness, and oil of joy and praise. As this month of Mental Health Awareness comes to an end, it is my prayer that God will continue to do a greater work on the minds and hearts of the children of God. There is grace meeting us at the point of our weakness. God's unfailing love is quieting all our fears. Bless you, bless you, bless you! Art of Ministry Reflection 2: Warning: Volume may be loud, please feel free to adjust on your respective devices. During this reflection for Art of Ministry, I talk about the practice of worship. I delve into reflection surrounding a practice of worship that I enjoy partaking in: and it is called: “Skin to Skin.” This practice of intentional meditation and intimacy with God causes many spiritual, emotional, and mental benefits. This time of centering emphasizes and develops one's relationship with God. Highlighting the definition of “love training, Pastor Tyler Sit theorizes: I reflect on the impact of skin to skin on one's understanding of God's love for them. During this episode, I shed light on narratives that shaped me in light of who God is calling me to be. In light of the call over my life, I speak about how my mother's death catapulted me into vocational discernment. Highlighting notions from Howard Thurman's "Sound of the Genuine" and Patrick Reyes: "Nobody Cries When We Die", I go on a journey on reflecting how I am now in a season of reclamation as I am finding my voice in light of solidifying and finding the confidence to spare not my voice for the kingdom of God. 

This is year 24. Psalm 24 states; The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof and EVERYTHING that lives in it. It goes on to suggest that only those with clean hands and hearts, will ascend to the mountain of the Lord. It displays the theme of worship through belief, faith, sacrifice and solidified witness— all of which I believe are themes that year 24 (for me personally) and 2021 (for all in general) will require for us to have. This is the year of the TRUE believer. Yield and surrender to God , live a life of obedience and worship and watch God enter in with all His glory and splendor. Take some time too listen to this introductory piece as I reflect on the perfect foundation of faith being exemplified through a life of genuine worship.

Happy season of love! I wrote this piece last year on Valentine's Day. It was my first year being single in a minute. I challenged myself to reflect and write what my heart was feeling. This ode came out of my heart. I decided to say it, since my position still stands. May you embrace this rather vulnerable piece and find security in the fact that God loves you and that He wants the best for you!

People have cancelled 2020, yet there is still the blessing of lessons-learned attached to this year. This segment serves as a quick personal reflection on 2020 both externally and internally. On a personal note, the 19th of December will mark life without my mom for five years. Take a listen to real-time personal introspection regarding my journey as a “surviving-turned-thriving daughter and how it correlated with lessons from this pandemic. There is audacity in choosing joy and being happy even in moments and places that remind us of our causation of pain. With this, we have the charge to fight for our healing and life.
